Winding your way along your own secret passageway from the beach to the villa, breathing in the fresh island air... Villa Cendrawasih is what many people envision as paradise. From the views of rolling countryside from the rooftop terrace right down to the enviable azure pool that spans the side of the property, every detail has been carefully considered to create an unforgettable holiday.
Decked out in grey and indigo, peppered with curated paintings, the design aesthetic is truly stunning. There's ample space for entertaining on the terrace through to the garden - the breezy Balinese open plan design ensures you can weave in and out of the villa with ease. Plenty of amenities await you on site - for those who love to keep fit, there's an air-conditioned gym equipped with a treadmill, an exercise bike and plenty of weights.
If all that seems a little too taxing, take a dip in the cool waters of the private pool, bordered on one side by a spacious, manicured lawn. Flick through the 250 movies in the TV room for some downtime, or indulge in a relaxing massage in the privacy of your own open sided massage terrace, complete with a day bed to unwind on afterwards.
The fresh minimal bedrooms have delightfully comfy king size beds (in two guest bedrooms these can be split to create twin beds) and a dressing area. Up to 10 guests can stay at this villa in the four bedrooms, or the television room can be converted into an additional bedroom for an extra fee.
Each bedroom has an ensuite open-air bathroom with a superb walk-in overhead rain shower. Three bedrooms also have a bathtub - imagine taking a liberating soak among nature (yet shaded by greenery). Escape to the terrace for glimpses of the Indian ocean interspersed with lush greenery - a perfect spot to watch Bali's infamous sunsets.
What you should know…
- This villa can only be rented at the 4 (8 people) or 5 bedroom (10 people) capacity. Please see rates for more information.
- Parents need not carry everything they need to look after little ones to Bali - the villa has children's equipment including a high chair and baby cot.
- The pool has a wading area for children to enter and exit the pool safely and a pool safety guard. (for an additional fee)
- To visit sights further afield, the villa has a reasonably priced car available for eight hours' use each day. Additional hours can be organised.
- Grocery cost is charged a 20% handling fee, subject to service and tax at the prevailing rate.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa CendrawasihPerfectly placed in a serene corner of Batu Belig yet close to glitzy Seminyak, guests staying at Villa Cendrawasih can enjoy the best of both worlds. Batu Belig beach is just a 300m stroll down the secret passageway - when you emerge, you're bound to be amazed by the exquisite ocean with waves lapping the volcanic black sand.
The beach is particularly family friendly and peaceful. While the waves are too strong for any serious swimming, grab a body board to ride the waves. You can watch kite flying here or if you're here in July or August, watch Bali's annual traditional kite festival.
However, it's not the only beach within easy reach, as enchanting Petitenget Beach is just 900m away. Magical Petitenget Beach embodies Balinese spirituality, and Pura Petitenget is a significant link in the series of Danh Kahyangan temples along Bali's west coast between Pura Uluwatu and Pura Tanah Lot. It's said that in the 16th century a Hindu deity ensured the island's perimeters would be guarded against evil sea spirits.
Pura Petitenget is an ancient temple that has twelve shrines and an impressive dragon staircase that leads to an expansive courtyard. Every evening, there are temple ceremonies on the beach and traditional dance displays - a truly mesmerising way to experience the rich culture. Bali is known as the 'Island of the Gods' and after visiting some of the enchanting temples you'll find out why.
Close to the villa is W Resort and Spa, home to the Woo Bar, a hip hangout favourited by Bali's fashionistas and jet setters. The villa is just 2km from one of Bali's most desirable postcodes, Seminyak - a playground for those who enjoy the finer things in life. Crammed with incredible spas, it's an ideal spot to indulge in a Balinese massage, try out yoga at one of the fancy studios around (there are yoga mats available at the villa) or hit the shops.
Seminyak is full of fashionable boutiques where you can spend a leisurely afternoon rummaging through antique treasures and trinkets to take home.
You'll find an abundance of incredible food in Seminyak - you could eat at a different restaurant every night for months and be spoilt for choice! The villa is close to Jalan Laksmana, also known as the famous Eat Street where you can pick up some tasty treats.
The villa has a car available for hire during the day - take a bike ride through the lush green landscape of Tabanan. Discover the famous Jutilwah rice terraces at the foot of Mount Batakuru, dotted with tea plantations. These rice terraces were a recent UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site candidate. Echo Beach is a lovely place for a sundowner and for tucking into their famous nightly barbecue - just an 8km drive from the villa.

Best Suited For: All AgesA holiday in Bali is bound to be a magical and unforgettable experience for children of all ages. Bali Treetop Adventure Park in Bedugul, close to Lake Bratan is an ideal day trip for those with little ones in tow. An adrenaline-fuelled park with five adventure circuits, the heights vary from 2m to 20m. Kids will love flying through the trees on the Tarzan jumps and soaring along 12 exhilarating flying fox ziplines.
Bali's beaches are always popular with children. Nearby Petitenget Beach is a truly special place to take children. Bali is known as the 'Island of the Gods' so the dancing and cultural ceremonies are bound to capture their imagination and help them understand elements of Balinese spirituality.
Batu Belig is an excellent beach to be based around, as it's lively yet still family friendly. Kids will love building sandcastles and the novelty of a beach walk along black sands. However, the waves are too strong for swimming here, so take them to Jimbaran or beaches in Sunar like Green Bowl where the current is calmer. Here, they can swim in peace and enjoy snorkelling among coral and exotic fish. Wannabe surfers can sign up for some classes and get into riding the waves, and horse lovers will adore going for a ride on the beach as the sun goes down.
Kids will have a great time at Finn's Recreation Club near the villa - there's an enormous array of activities they can get stuck into and learn a new skill. There's a dedicated Kids Club and Junior Sports Academy, and the immensely popular Bounce Trampoline park. Plus, if they haven't had enough fun splashing around at the villa, the water park has enough slides to keep them entertained all day.

Nyepi Religious Day
Please be informed that Bali island celebrates Nyepi (Silent) Day each year on below dates. The Nyepi (Silent) Day is a day of absolute silence throughout the island and it starts at 6 AM that day and finishes 6 AM the following day. No outdoor activities are allowed and there will be no check-in and check-out from properties on 7 March 2019, 25 March 2020, and 14 March 2021.
