Location

Binibeca is an elegant and characterful part of Menorca, well suited to visitors looking to explore beyond the immediate surroundings. For those drawn to walking routes, the Cami de Cavalls offers an extensive 185km coastal trail, allowing you to experience the island at your own pace. The route passes a number of well-known spots, including Cala Galdana and Cala Macarelleta, making it a practical way to take in a variety of locations.

Just over five minutes from the centre, Binibeca Vell offers a distinctive setting defined by its whitewashed houses and compact layout. Built between the late 1960s and early 1970s, the village has fewer than 170 properties, giving it a more contained feel. Its cobbled paths lead through a selection of local restaurants and bars, providing an easy way to explore the area and experience its atmosphere.

The region is also known for its varied food scene, with a range of options to suit different tastes. El Faro focuses on traditional Mediterranean and Menorcan dishes, including caldereta, a lobster-based speciality prepared with aromatic spices. For dessert, options such as chocolate cake with homemade ice cream provide a straightforward finish to the meal.

The quiet and idyllic resort of Binibeca is a very popular smaller resort on the beautiful south coast of Menorca and is a perfect choice for holidaymakers wanting to experience the luxury of Menorca with great restaurants and easy living. You will not find any skyline-destroying hotels or large holiday complexes here, but instead most accommodations are private villas and apartments, located in residential areas.

Today, Binibeca stretches 3 km along the coast and includes the original ‘Binibèquer Vell’, or the 'old Binibeca', as well as the newer section, ‘Binibèquer Nou’- a natural progression with many of the homes and villas in keeping with the original design. At the very eastern point of Binibeca, you will also find Cala Torret, a smaller residential area with some nice restaurants and bars to enjoy. Further along to the east, visitors can find other areas such as Punta Prima, another popular village with a great beach and tasty restaurants.
