Located in the tranquil area of Cumbre del Sol, on Spain's Costa Blanca, sits this handsome three-bedroom villa. Perched on a hillside and with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, Villa Locumbre offers guests both peace and tranquillity yet easy access to the beach and amenities.

The interiors are breezy and cool, with almost every room drenched in sunlight from glass doors and large windows. On the ground floor, the open-plan living area is all clean lines and easy comfort with tiled flooring, whitewashed walls and large sofas overlooking a glorious terrace and panoramic sea views. A TV makes this the perfect room for a family or friends to socialise and relax in, and homely touches include potted plants, plump cushions and an open fireplace to keep things cosy on chillier nights. Leading off from the living area is a well-equipped kitchen with every appliance you'll need to whip up delicious meals and then serve them on the covered terrace overlooking the sea. On this floor, you'll also find two bedrooms featuring double and twin beds. Both rooms are light and airy, with plenty of wardrobe space and air conditioning. There's also a bathroom on this floor.

From the living area, steps lead up to the first floor, where the remaining bedroom is located. Unfussy decor and neutral tones make it a wonderfully soothing space, and there's also a pristine en-suite bathroom with a tub. While the interiors are simple, the views are simply magnificent. During the day, soak up the sun on a lounger, swim in the pool or enjoy a bite to eat and admire the stunning views. With no distractions here, you are free to do as you please. Come dinnertime, throw some fresh fish on the barbecue and enjoy al fresco dining at the terrace table. The villa is set in a quiet, residential area just 10 minutes from the towns of Benitachell or Moraira, with their restaurants, bars, and shops. It's also less than a 5-minute drive to the rocky beach, Cala del Moraig, which is another stunning location in this region of Spain.

Villa Locumbre is located on the gorgeous Costa Blanca in southeast Spain. With its endless sunny days and warm climate, Costa Blanca (White Coast) is a favourite destination for beach lovers and those seeking outdoor activities. Great hiking trails, fabulous beaches, plus many fine challenging golf courses mean you'll find something for everyone here.

In addition, Cumbre del Sol has some of the most spectacular views of the Mediterranean towards Moraira and Calpe, as well as towards the resort of Denia to the south. For a great day out at the beach, head to Moraig beach, just a 5-minute drive from the villa. It's a small beach with coarse sand and pebbles, but its clean water makes it an ideal spot for swimming and diving. Along the beach, you'll find the Cova del Arcs (Cave of Arches), a beautiful cave with dramatic arches and turquoise waters. It's a popular place to go snorkelling or simply sit and watch the sunrise through the arches. From here, hikers can pick up The Route of the Cliffs path. This 6km route follows the coastline to Cala Llebeig in Moraira, and along the way, you'll see caves, once used by smugglers, carved into the cliffside.

Moraira is a pretty coastal town known as the 'St Tropez of Spain'. After taking a dip in the sea, be sure to stroll through the quaint cobbled alleyways and stop for a bite to eat at one of the good-quality restaurants. The beachside town of Javea (Xabia) is also worth a visit and is a 20-minute drive north of the villa. Spend the day at the beach, diving or kayaking, or hire a bicycle and explore the coastline. Alternatively, head inland and discover the small old town brimming with beautiful architecture. Lovers of golf can also enjoy a round at Javea's pristine 9-hole golf course.

Further activities can be found in the dynamic seaside resort of Calp. Just 25 minutes drive from Villa Locumbre, it is dominated by the towering rock of Ifach, a giant limestone molar that rears up from the sea. Those with a head for heights can climb to the summit. Although it's a steep and arduous trail, at the top, you'll be rewarded with magnificent sea views, and on a clear day, you'll be able to see the island of Ibiza. Alternatively, the less energetic can jump on a boat at the old fishing port and view the rock from the water.

Villa Locumbre is a fantastic place for a family holiday that invites outdoor living. Children will love splashing about in the pool, and if they tire of the pool, they can head to the nearby rocky beach and dive straight into the calm Mediterranean waters. After a day in the sun, the shady terrace is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy an alfresco meal with the family. Children can also cool off in the air-conditioned lounge or simply sink into the sofa and watch their favourite programmes on the TV.

Although Cumbre del Sol is a quiet residential area, it offers plenty of outdoor activity, with horse riding at the local stables, go-karting facilities and tennis courts close by. Moraig beach (located down a steep descent) is just a 5-minute drive away, and here children can swim in the clear waters, soak up the sun and enjoy an ice cream from one of the beachside restaurants. Older children can also enjoy snorkelling and diving. Overlooking the beach is an observation deck, and from here, children can enjoy views of the sea caves and mountain grottos.

Other family-friendly beaches nearby include El Arenal in Javea and Playa Moraira, both 20-minute drives away. For a fun day out for kids of all ages, head to Aqualandia in Benidorm, 45 minutes away. Here children can spend the day whizzing down water slides, riding rapids and splashing in one of the pools. Also worth a visit while in the area is Terra Natura Zoo with its tigers, elephants and rhinos and Mundomar, where children can encounter dolphins, sea lions and penguins.

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit Credit card details are required 2 weeks prior to departure for pre-authorisation.
Arrival time 4-7 pm. Please enquire if you wish to arrive at a different time.
Departure time 10 am.
Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Heating costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Pool towels included? Beach towels are an extra €5 per towel, paid locally. Please request these during the booking process.
End of stay cleaning included? Extra €175, payable to Oliver's Travels with the balance payment. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included in the rental price.
Minimum stay 7 nights during peak season. 4 nights during other periods.
Changeover day Saturday during peak season. Flexible during other periods.
Pets welcome? On request only and with prior agreement with the owner. If accepted, a pet supplement of €50 per pet will apply (paid to OT prior to travel).
Smoking Allowed? Smoking is permitted outside only.
Pool heating charge? Not available.
Tax Tourist Tax included in the rental price.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
