Set in beautiful, landscaped grounds, Quinta Monte is one of the finest villas available for holiday rental in Quinta do Lago, the Algarve's premier resort.
Designed by one of Portugal's leading classical architects, it has a built area of 695 sq. mts, on three floors, which is considerably larger than average, on a site of 2000 sq mts. With electric entrance gates, full air-conditioning and a large, heated swimming pool, it is equipped and furnished to the highest standard.
This is a genuine five-star property, immaculately maintained and professionally managed, in one of Europe's very special destinations and it is rare for a property of this quality to be offered for rental.
The huge entrance hall with a two-storey high ceiling gives Quinta Monte that essential "wow" factor as soon as you open the door. The large, elegant, lounge has patio doors which lead out to the pool terrace. It is beautifully furnished with oak flooring, classical sofas and armchairs and a stone and marble fireplace.
The adjacent library also serves as a home cinema with a large HD TV, recorder, PS4 and DVD player plus 200 channel cable TV including all the main BBC, Sky, BT Sport and ITV channels. As well as a good selection of books and music CD’s, it has a large collection of the latest films on DVD.
The designer German made kitchen includes an island unit with wine rack and a breakfast area with a circular table seating 6. It is fully equipped with a larder fridge, dishwasher, butler sink, microwave, coffee filter and stainless-steel range cooker. There is a second American style fridge freezer off the kitchen and a third drinks fridge in the basement.. There is a fully fitted laundry room in the basement plus a table tennis table.
The villa has four bedrooms, all approximately the same size, one on the ground floor and three on the first floor each with double built in wardrobes and its own en-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. Each bedroom, which is fully air-conditioned, has a dressing table and a flat screen TV and those on the first floor have access to their own balcony. All have twin beds, except the master bedroom which boasts a four-poster double bed. Hair dryers are provided in each bedroom.
Sunbathing and al fresco dining are essential elements of your Quinta Monte holiday. The pool (12 x 6 mts) in the beautifully landscaped garden is surrounded by a large, sunny terrace with 8 top quality wheeled rattan sun loungers, comfortable cushions and large sunshades.
The barbecue and the outside dining terrace, with a table for 8 beneath an electric shaded pergola, are both next to the pool. On a covered terrace outside the lounge, with an electric awning providing extra shade, are two sofas and two armchairs which seat 8.
On the large first floor terrace outside the master bedroom are 4 more cushioned metal sun loungers, a large sunshade and a bar.
There are two other tables and chairs on the first-floor terrace and in the lawned garden area.
A spiral staircase from the first-floor terrace leads to a roof terrace, which has 360-degree views of the sea and mountains

About the surrounding area of Quinta MonteThe villa is located in the Parque Atlantico area of Quinta do Lago, widely regarded as the most prestigious sector of this luxury resort as it is closest to the sea and has some of the finest properties. It is situated in a large, landscaped garden accessed through electric entrance gates. The Ria Formosa estuary and nature reserve is only 250 mts away and you can walk from there along the nature trail to the famous bridge over the estuary which leads to the miles of unspoiled sandy beach. The San Lorenzo golf course and club house is close by and there are numerous nature walks and cycle trails for you to enjoy.
The main windsurfing lake with the water-sports centre plus the popular Casa do Lago and Shack restaurants are also within walking distance
Quinta do Lago is a prestigious, upmarket estate surrounded by lush scenery, championship golf courses and excellent beaches. You can take delightful nature trails from the villa onto the Ria Formosa Nature Park or to the nearby lake with its excellent watersports and waterside restaurant. The fantastic San Lorenzo Golf Course is especially close. There are five courses in Quinta do Lago, San Lorenzo, Quinta do Lago North and South, Pinheiros Altos and Laranjal. There is also the Paul McGinley Golf Academy, the TaylorMade Performance Centre and a mini putting course, very popular with the young ones. There are a number of wonderful restaurants within easy walking distance including the popular Casa do Lago Restaurant, The Shack Bar, the Bovino Steakhouse and Casa Velha. The Lago Watersports Centre on the main lake offers sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and pedalos. There is also a floating obstacle course for children. During the summer months visitors can enjoy waterskiing, jetskis and paragliding on the beach. The new CAMPUS Sports Centre offers football, rugby, tennis, padel tennis and cycling. The Bike Shed at CAMPUS is a centre for recreational and competitive cycling with organised group rides several times a week. Guests enjoy walking and cycling around Quinta do Lago and onto the two nature trails on the Ria Formosa. There are two hides for birdwatchers. Guests staying at Quinta Monte are given a birdwatching kit.
It is very easy to shop when staying at the villa. There are two centres at the entrance to Quinta do Lago, Quinta Shopping and the Bougainvillea Plaza. Almancil, a characterful village, is only 15 minutes drive away and offers charming, unique shops. Apolonia is fabulous for international foods and Pingo Doco, a Portuguese supermarket chain has an excellent fish counter. Forum Algarve, a large mall is about 25 minutes away in Faro.
The charming village of Almancil is typically Portuguese. You can wander around the narrow streets, enjoying the galleries and watching the potters busy at work in their workshops. The neighbouring village of Sao Lourenco boasts one of the prettiest churches in the Algarve. It is decorated with stunning azulejo work dating back to 1730. The pretty blue and white tiles tell the story of the life of its patron saint. Almancil’s centro cultural hosts a range of art exhibitions and musical performances. The village also boasts a karting track which is very popular.
Vilamoura boasts endless attractions, including two gorgeous beaches, a stunning state-of-the-art marina, a leading casino, numerous high-class restaurants and chic lounge bars and beach clubs. The glitzy Vilamoura Marina has been awarded International Marina of the Year by The Yacht Harbour Association and has hosted World Championships with hundreds of sailors from many countries. Vilamoura provides mooring and facilities for day-cruisers, glamorous super-yachts and offers a brilliant range of boats trips. Vilamoura is a sporting haven with six renowned golf courses, horse riding, football pitches and a top tennis academy. The Portugal Masters takes place every year at the Victoria Golf Course and defines the Algarve’s position as one of the finest golf destinations of the world. The Millenium Course, the famous Old Course, Pinhal and Vila Sol are all very prestigious and inviting with sensational views. The Old Course is the second oldest golf course in the Algarve.

Best Suited For: All AgesQuinta Monte is ideal for a family holiday with superb bedroom suites, a glorious swimming pool and very beautiful gardens. The villa is located on the prestigious Quinta do Lago estate with its many family friendly activities. It is a short walk to the beautiful Quinta do Lago Beach, the Quinta do Lago Lake and the Ria Formosa. The whole coastline offers brilliant sandy beaches with plenty of watersports on offer. Praia de Falesia, Praia de Quarteira and the idyllic beaches on the islands of the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve are just some excellent beaches to head for. Children love the little boat rides to the Ria Formosa beaches. The lake offers many watersports and the water is a little warmer. There is also a floating playground during the summer months. The estate also boasts a mini putting course which is very popular.
This area of the Algarve boasts many thrilling waterparks and theme parks as well as entertaining zoos and sports attractions. Aqualand Algarve is a thrilling waterpark within easy reach of Quinta Monte. It boasts hair-raising Kamikaze and Banzai slides, a water playground, swimming pools, mini slides and a lazy river. Alternatively you can head to Slide and Splash and Aquashow.
Zoomarine is another wonderful attraction with shows, rides, slides and pools. It focuses on environmental education and boasts a fabulous rehabilitation centre for marine life. Visitors enjoy dolphin and sealion presentations, birds of prey in action and can interact with the dolphins in the pool at Dolphin Emotions.
Almancil Karting is only roughly 15 minutes from the villa and offers a range of go-karts for children of all ages. There is a small track for 3-5 year olds, 120cc karts for 6 and over and more powerful karts for older teenagers and young adults. There are also 2 seater karts if parents want to take part with their children. Almancil Karting also offer buggy safaris, trampolines and remote controlled boats.
Desert Pines Algarve Foot Golf is near Vale do Lobo and provides great fun playing the golf-like course using your feet as clubs, kicking the ball from the tee to the green and into the cups. There are plenty of mini-golf courses in the area.

A trip of a lifetime!
We recently had the pleasure of staying at the most enchanting villa during our vacation, and I cannot sing its praises enough! Prior to our arrival at the Villa the owners were gracious enough to share key planning details, restaurants, attractions, activities, etc. so we could make recommendations and plan our week. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the sheer beauty and tranquility that enveloped this stunning rental villa.
The villa itself is a masterpiece of architecture, designed with utmost attention to detail. Every aspect of the property exudes elegance and sophistication, creating an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and welcoming. The spacious rooms were meticulously furnished, offering a seamless blend of modern comfort and traditional charm.
One of the standout features of this villa is the lush landscape, around every corner there was something new to explore. The amenities provided were second to none. The private pool became my personal oasis, where I could unwind and soak up the sun in absolute privacy. The well-maintained garden, adorned with fragrant flowers and swaying trees, created a sense of serenity that was truly unparalleled. Additionally, the fully equipped kitchen allowed me to indulge in culinary adventures, while the cozy living spaces provided the perfect setting for relaxation and socializing.
The location of the villa was ideal. It offered a peaceful and secluded retreat and conveniently close to nearby attractions and amenities. I had the chance to explore charming local markets, dine at exceptional restaurants, and partake in exciting outdoor activities, all within a short distance from the villa. Quinta do Lago is a special place which offers beach clubs, golf, health clubs, restaurants and children’s activities at QDL.
In conclusion, my stay at this rental villa was an absolute dream come true. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a luxurious and rejuvenating getaway. With its impeccable design, breath-taking views, top-notch amenities, and exceptional service, this villa surpassed all my expectations. It truly felt like a home away from home, and my only downside is that I didn’t book more than 7 days!!!
