With 7 gorgeous bedrooms, incredible entertaining space and stunning landscaped gardens, this beautiful villa is the perfect pick for groups of up to 14 guests. The villa has been meticulously refurbished with quality contemporary additions though it also retains its unique Portuguese ambience. You will feel so chilled here!
Located in the quiet, pretty hamlet of Malhao and just a few kilometres away from the charming village of Boliqueime, Casa Musica is an idyllic rural retreat though is within easy reach of some of the best of the Algarve. The wonderful coastline and the vibrant towns of Albufeira and Vilamoura are just 12-14km away.
As the name might suggest, this special villa has a musical theme throughout. It is stylish and elegant with brilliant white and soft hues creating a calm and relaxing ambience. Casa Musica is designed over two levels, both enjoying the remarkable countryside vistas. The stunning living spaces on the ground floor are open plan with elegant arches dividing the areas. The charming kitchen is incredibly well equipped. There is a useful separate laundry. The contemporary indoor dining table is absolutely massive so that all guests can enjoy their meals at one time. Beautiful ceilings, select quality instruments and gorgeous works of art can all be enjoyed throughout the villa. The lounge is a wonder with huge squishy sofas and a gorgeous vaulted ceiling. You will definitely feel indulged in Casa Musica!
The 7 bedrooms are an absolute delight. They are spacious and incredibly well thought out with quality linens and each with their own ensuite bathroom. The bedrooms are a mix of king size beds and twin beds and the bathrooms a mix of showers and baths, some with showers overhead. You will be seriously impressed with the attention to detail and the quality furnishings. The bedrooms generally open up to terraces or balconies.
Casa Musica has no end to stunning relaxation areas. You will find gorgeous outdoor sofas under covered terraces, quiet reading corners, incredible verandas, fabulous alfresco dining and stunning day beds and sun loungers enjoying the best of the views around the pool. Everything is tasteful and to a super high standard. There are so many options for evening drinks and dining. The swimming pool is wonderful and a perfect size at 16m x 8m. There is a separate pool for young children.
This superb, luxurious villa is perfect for large groups, extended families or several families.
What you should know…

Location
About the surrounding area of Casa MusicaMalhao is a very pretty, quiet hamlet, just 4km from the charming village of Boliquieme which dates back to the 12th century. With cobbled streets, little shops, cafes, a few restaurants and locals enjoying their coffee and a good game of dominoes, Boliquieme is lovely.
The Castle of Perderne, an old Moorish castle constructed in the 12th century is 9km away. The village Perderne is quaint and pretty. A little further, Guia is famous for its delicious piri-piri chicken which is barbecued on charcoal and spiced with hot chilli sauce. You can sample piri-piri dishes all over the Algarve, but Guia has the best reputation. In the opposite direction, you can also visit Loule, Almancil and Sao Lourenco.
Loule has a lot more shops and restaurants and is very popular for its markets. On Saturdays, there is a farmer’s market and the gipsy market as well as the busy and colourful Moorish inspired covered market. You can buy handicrafts, local produce and freshly caught fish at the covered market. There are many beautiful historical buildings in Loule, including the Gothic Igreja Matriz Church, so it is a good trip.
One of the prettiest churches in the whole of the Algarve is The Sao Lourenco Church. Its stunning azulejo work dates back to 1730. The neighbouring town Almancil is known for its pottery shops and workshops. If you enjoy tasting wines, Quinta da Tor is close by. You can taste some delicious authentic Algarvian wines together with scrummy olive oil and bread. Alternatively, the Quinta da Miradouro winery near Guia offers the Vida Nova wines specially produced for Sir Cliff Richard. Tours are available but must be pre-booked.
Olhos d’Agua is the nearest beach to the villa, and the resort is delightful. Busier than Olhos d’Agua is Albufeira and Vilamoura. Praia do Peneco, Praia da Oura, Praia da Coelha, Praia de Sao Rafael, Praia da Falesia, Praia dos Arrives, Praia do Castelo and Praia de Santa are just some of the fabulous beaches in the area. Visitors enjoy Albufeira’s town beach of Praia do Peneco which is reached through a tunnel through the cliffs or by taking an elevator from the fabulous promenade. The promenade is trendy for an evening stroll to enjoy the sunsets.
Just along the coast, Vilamoura is smart and sophisticated with high-end dining, especially around the marina. It is home to six renowned golf courses as well as equestrian, football and tennis centres. Cyclists enjoy the traffic-free tracks and paths and the fabulous views over the dramatic cliffs. The town also has a famous leading casino where you can try your luck.

THE REGION
Boliqueime offers up a rural slice of the Algarve on Portugal's southern coast. It's right up in the hills, surrounded by pine trees and almond groves. The authentic village atmosphere comes complete with cobbled streets and a square where locals gather to play dominoes. As for beaches and nightlife, Albufeira's within a 15-minute drive.
Despite the laidback setting, there are plenty of activities nearby to keep you on your toes. Vilamoura's just a 15-minute drive away and home to a championship golf course. Meanwhile, ocean lovers can make the most of parasailing from Albufeira's marina or head out on a dolphin-watching trip.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesThere is no end to family entertainment when you are staying close to Albufeira and Vilamoura. There are 3 water parks, amusement arcades, bowling, crazy golf, pedal karts, trampolines, bouncy castles, horse riding centres, tennis, high wire adventures, zoos and of course the spectacular beaches.
Horse lovers will enjoy Vilamoura Equestrian Centre with its excellent facilities and some fabulous shows in the arenas and competition areas and Pinetrees Riding Stables. The stables offer tuition for riders from 4 years old through pine forests, on the beaches and also through the Ludo Valley’s orange groves.
The new High Ropes Centre in Albufeira is similar to Go-Ape. Children will be thrilled tackling the ropes, bridges, wires, nets and zip lines.
Zoomarine is very popular with families. It boasts a well-reputed rehabilitation centre for marine life as well as fantastic presentations, rides, slides and a variety of pools and water adventures. Dolphin Emotions offers a magical interactive dolphin experience. The sea lion and birds of prey presentations are excellent. Some of the best rides are Jurassic River, Rapid River, Aquasplash and the Zoomarine Express.
The water parks Aquashow Park, Aqualand and Slide and Splash, are always a hit. The range of slides, tunnels, lazy rivers and pools is incredible. Those that do not want to be terrified can relax on the loungers and enjoy a picnic!
Olhos d’Agua is the nearest beach to the villa. It is very attractive and is known for its freshwater springs which can be seen among the rocks at the eastern end of the beach at low tide. The Algarve is often voted as the best beach destination in Europe with the beaches on the Island of Tavira, Praia da Ilha de Armona, Praia da Marinha, Praia de Vale do Lobo, Praia da Gale, Praia da Falesia, Praia dos Alemaes and Praia do Ancao being some of the most popular. It is definitely worth a trip to the Ria Formosa and at least one of the beaches on the little islands. You take a small ferry boat, a picnic and swimming things and enjoy a lovely day out in the stunning dunes.
