Overlooking a lush valley in northern Umbria, Villa Petroia is a beautifully restored 600-year-old medieval farmhouse set within a luxurious country estate. Blending historical charm with modern comforts, this villa offers the perfect base for a memorable family holiday or a getaway with friends.
The property accommodates 12 guests across a main house and a separate cottage, featuring six elegant bedrooms. Inside, you’ll find a grand dining room, a cozy games room, and contemporary amenities including Wi-Fi, air conditioning in all bedrooms, and smart TVs.
Surrounded by gated, landscaped gardens, the villa’s outdoor spaces invite relaxation. Enjoy a dip in the L-shaped infinity pool, dine al fresco under the olive trees, or fire up the Weber BBQ as the scent of lavender drifts through the air.
Located within a vast country golf estate, guests have access to 500 hectares of trails, cycling routes, golf facilities, and a restaurant. A resort and spa is also underway, set to open in 2025.
Just 5km from the villa, you’ll find local shops, eateries, and vineyards scattered through the rolling hills. Nearby Umbertide (16km) offers charming streets, restaurants, a museum, and a unique octagonal church—perfect for a short day trip.
The regional capital, Perugia, lies just 20km away. This walled city is rich in culture and history, boasting Gothic architecture, fascinating museums, and cobbled streets lined with artisan boutiques and trattorias.
For a change of scenery, head to Lago Trasimeno (25km) for lakeside beaches and watersports, or take a longer drive to the iconic Tuscan city of Siena (110km) for a day immersed in history, art, and architecture.

- The accommodation is split between the main house which sleeps 8 and the cottage which sleeps 4, this is ideal for families or small groups travelling together as you have some space to yourselves.
- A car is recommended for visiting the surrounding attractions and towns.
- The pool is not fenced, so children should be supervised when outdoors.

Weddings & Events Information
Ask a questionWith such stunning scenery around you, a symbolic ceremony can be held within the immaculate grounds with the aroma of summer lavender whilst a beautiful reception can be set up by the poolside looking out towards the romantic Umbrian vistas.
Furthermore, this is a paradise for golf-lovers – meet family and friends on the Robert Trent Jones Jnr designed course before the special day in these spectacular surroundings.
Wedding Reception
A reception can be hosted for up to 50 people. A marquee is required in case of bad weather (at an extra cost).
There are opportunities to dance outside with a finish time of 1.45 a.m.
Wedding Ceremony
A symbolic ceremony can be held within the grounds and an English speaking celebrant can be provided.
Where to Stay
The villa can sleep 15 guests whilst there are other options for further guests within a 15-minute drive. Transportation can be arranged.
Wedding Planning
The venue can provide a wedding planner or clients may use their own.
Catering
The venue can provide external catering or clients may arrange their own.
There is usually no corkage charge.

There is a fixed fee for the event, plus all additional costs (marquee hire, catering etc).
The venue has no exclusive suppliers but they can arrange a variety of services on request, or clients may make their own arrangements.
Please note that any event rental may be subject to additional charges, venue hire fees and to a higher security deposit, which will be in addition to any published rental rates and fees.
All events are on request only and subject to prior agreement from the owner, who reserves the right to refuse all events without their prior authorisation.
