A striking, spacious 'Masseria' crafted in local stone and white lime, Villa Marcella is a place made for chilling out in the sun. The interiors are just as spectacular as the vast poolside terrace and with room for twelve, it’s the ideal venue for a Puglian get-together on a grand scale.
The villa is comprised of three apartments, two downstairs and one up, so the features you need come three times over. Both of the downstairs apartments have their private patio looking out over the pool or gardens, while the upstairs accommodation offers an exceptional sunlit roof terrace with to-die-for views of the Puglian countryside.
In addition, a new annexe has been added that comprises of other two ground floor apartments to offer guests even more space.
Olive trees provide shade in the two-hectare grounds, where a covered terrace with dining area will have you enjoying life al fresco in no time. There are armchairs and poolside loungers waiting for you and plenty of private spots to make the most of your time together. Candles and lanterns add an extra-special ambience in the evenings when the mood is relaxed and romantic in equal measure.
More treats are on offer at Villa Marcella, with a host of wellness services available to you. An area is dedicated to massage and face and body rituals, where you have on option to be taken care of in the most luxurious surroundings. Forget the time and just drift away…

Your location on the Puglian coast puts so much within reach. Pretty Polignano a Mare is your first port of call, delighting all the senses as you explore its picturesque squares and rugged cliffs. The sandy beaches of Monopoli are just a little further and the architectural riches of Martina Franca, Alberobello and Ostuni (the famous ‘White City’) are well worth discovering to the south.

- Extra beds cannot be added, but cots may be available for infants if required

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa MarcellaThe enchanting town of Polignano a Mare sits atop limestone cliffs looking out across the Adriatic. Those spectacular sea views and its sandy, Blue Flag beach make it a favourite destination, as does the pretty centre. The cliffs which surround the beach attract many cliff-divers and Polignano a Mare enjoys an international reputation as a prime destination for the sport.
The old town is a place to lose yourself, often literally, but you will soon find its jumble of little streets leading you back in the direction of the beach. Lots of appealing trattorias can be found around town and while Mediterranean cuisine dominates, other varieties appear on menus too. One local specialty you should try is the ice cream, which comes highly recommended.
Polignano a Mare is an excellent base for exploring the region in all directions. Midway between the cities of Bari and Brindisi, it’s also close to eye-catching Ostuni, Alberobello and Martina Franca and only 15 minutes’ drive from the attractive coastal town of Monopoli, where you will find even more history and chilled-out beach life.

Here is a stylish white villa near delightful Polignano a Mare, a town where limestone cliffs tower over the Adriatic. Retaining all the romance of a traditional Masseria, this venue has amazing interiors and the most beautiful pool and surrounding terraces. You can have a massage here to relax you before the special day and there are so many spectacular settings for your wedding – beneath the vine shaded pergola or on the lawns by the olive trees accompanied by the fragrance of cascading jasmine. The huge garden becomes even more atmospheric in the evenings when candles and lanterns are lit, perfect for feasting and celebrating with some of Puglia’s gastronomic delights.
Wedding Reception
A reception for up to 150 guests can take place on the lawn near the swimming pool.
Dancing can continue on the lawn up until 1.00 a.m. when a noise restriction kicks in.
Wedding Ceremony
A symbolic ceremony with up to 150 guests could take place on the lawn or, for up to 100 people, under the pergola near the main swimming pool.
A civil ceremony would be possible at the town hall 15 minutes away from the villa.
The owners can provide details of an English-speaking celebrant.
Where to Stay
Up to 12 people can sleep at the villa and an additional 8 guests can sleep in the two apartments in the annexe.
48 bedrooms could be found for extra guests 3km from the villa (together in one resort).
The owners can supply details of local transport firms.
Wedding Planning
The venue can provide a wedding planner or the client may provide their own.
The venue can help provide all the extras required for the event.
Catering
The venue will provide all the catering for the event.
Other information
From 2020 the villa will have a fixed gazebo in the grounds which can be used in case of bad weather.
It is requested that clients should use the venue’s usual external caterer.
Please note that any event rental may be subject to additional charges, venue hire fees and to a higher security deposit, which will be in addition to any published rental rates and fees.
All events are on request only and subject to prior agreement from the owner, who reserves the right to refuse all events without their prior authorisation.
