You will be mesmerised by the emerald sandy coves, multifarious consecutive bays with pebbles, crystal clear waters, and completely secluded beaches. Such idyllic places for romantics here in Agia Pelagia.
The area around Boukari bay is renowned for the fabulous traditional food served at the many small Tavernas dotted along the coastline, seafood being particularly exceptional. Rick Stein even featured this area on his Mediterranean Escapes programme; it must be special!
Agia Pelagia is in the unspoiled south of the island away from the main tourist spots. It has beautiful beaches, particularly if you pop across to the other side of the island, a mere 10 minutes by road will take you to perhaps the most beautiful beach on the island, Issos. Issos is particularly fabulous for water sports due to its slightly windier aspect than Boukari. Windsurfing and kitesurfing are very popular here, and it is a great spot for beginners should you want to try something new and adventurous right on your doorstep.
No trip to the south of Corfu would be complete without a trip to the beautiful postcard-perfect island of Paxos, Anti Paxos and the blue caves. Paxos has been voted one of the ten most beautiful islands in the world. Hire your own boat or book yourself a seat on an organised day trip.
After a hard day of sunbathing, water sports or visiting one of the many beautiful traditional villages, how wonderful it is to be able to kick back and relax at your delightful holiday villa listening to the water lapping the shore and taking in the twinkling lights of Corfu town across the bay.
