At the heart of the spacious grounds lies a large private pool, 15 metres long and perfect for cooling off after sunny afternoons spent canoeing or wandering medieval villages. A poolside covered terrace with fridge, lounge seating and barbecue for al-fresco dining completes the outdoor set-up for sociable warm evenings.

From your door, it’s a leisurely half hour walk to Vitrac-Port and the Dordogne river, where you’ll find a riverside restaurant, a small beach and canoe hire. Domme is just five minutes away by car, a beautiful hilltop bastide with cobbled streets and sweeping valley views, while the celebrated town of Sarlat-la-Canéda is just a little further heading north. This is the heart of the Dordogne, rich with castles, gardens, local markets and walking trails.
