Reached via a tree-lined driveway, Manoir des Vignes Dorées is a wonderful country manor in an elevated position, rewarding guests with sweeping views across rolling vines and hills of the Dordogne countryside, only a 20-minute drive south of Bergerac.

Inside, the house is finished to a high standard, combining classic character with generous proportions. Seven charmingly arranged bedrooms are spread across the home, including four four poster bedrooms with modern en suites and a dedicated children’s dorm-style bedroom with a chill out area, reached via a magical wardrobe door.

The main living room is another welcoming place to gather, with a fireplace and large screen TV. At the heart of the home, the expansive kitchen with central island and dining table opens directly onto the terrace, encouraging long, sociable meals indoors and out.

The grounds are equally impressive. Vineyards frame the estate, while east and west facing terraces offer ideal spots for breakfast or evening dinners as the light shifts across the landscape. A large heated swimming pool takes centre stage, complete with a superb covered terrace with a summer kitchen, bar seating and shaded dining area, creating a relaxed setting for lazy afternoons and warm evenings with chilled drinks on hand.

Well located for the the renowned Monbazillac Wine Trail, the manor is perfectly placed for vineyard visits and tastings. Charming villages and bastide towns such as Issigeac, Eymet and Castillonnès are all within easy reach, offering bakeries, markets, cafés and restaurants. Bergerac, with its historic centre, vibrant food scene and international airport, lies only twenty minutes away, ensuring both convenience and a true sense of escape.
