Dating back to the 19th century, you will receive a warm welcome in this exquisite château which has been completely renovated with the utmost attention to detail whilst respecting its wonderful heritage. Set over four floors, you’ll find beautiful salons, grand dining rooms, nine elegant bedrooms and a wonderful terrace looking out towards the glorious forests. Location
About the surrounding area of Chateau RoyalChateau Royal is set in five hectares of wonderful grounds, bordering a beautiful forest, just 30km north of the centre of Paris.
You can wander to the local village where there are restaurants and a boulangerie as well as a train station a little further with frequent departures to Paris (it’s 30 minutes to Gare du Nord). There is a prestigious golf course nearby with 18 challenging holes in stunning surroundings, a gourmet restaurant, indoor pool, spa and tennis courts (guests have priority access).
Spend days hiking or cycling through the bordering woodland with its two lakes, following walking paths across the entire forest. It’s also the perfect setting for mountain and quad biking and there is riding nearby for horse-lovers.
The ‘City of Lights’ is just over half an hour by car or train. The concierge at Chateau Royal is able to arrange tailor-made trips to Paris with private transfers. Whether you wish to see the sights of Paris, dine at one of the city’s finest restaurants, visit the opera or discover Paris’ hidden gems, the château staff will be able to help you. Other private tours that can be arranged include a trip to Monet’s enchanting gardens at Giverny (70km), the grand Château de Chantilly (30km) and its magnificent gardens as well as visits to the vineyards of Champagne or the D-Day landing beaches in Normandy.
Closer to home, in nearby L'Isle-Adam (13km) you will find France’s largest river beach as well as river cruises in the summer and beautiful buildings such as the 18th century listed Pavillon Chinois in the Parc de Cassan. Auvers-sur-Oise (14km) is another beautiful village which inspired impressionist painters including Van Gogh and Cézanne.
The interesting town of Pontoise (20km) is known for its rich architectural style – both new and old. Just a little further in Cergy-Pontoise (25km) you will find a large recreational park open in the height of the summer with lakes offering water-skiing, rafting, kayaking, swimming and bird watching.
Other cultural highlights in the area include the National Museum of Renaissance at Château d’Écouen (10km), the Musée Jean-Jacques Rousseau (11km) and the romantic Royaumont Royal Abbey (20km) dating back to 11th century.
Finally, for a unique experience, flight courses are available at Les Ailerons Aviation Club, just a 10-minute drive away.

Best Suited For: All AgesOn the edge of a beautiful forest with two lakes, Chateau Royal is a perfect location for outdoor activities whether woodland walks, cycling or mountain and quad-biking. Horse-riding is also nearby.
There is also a great range of activities available at the recreational centre in L’Isle-Adam, open in the summer with its swimming pools, waterfalls and slides as well as beach volleyball, tennis, mini-golf and a playground. There are also lovely boat rides along the River Oise in this pretty village.
Cergy-Pontoise also has a large recreational centre open in the height of the summer with bird-watching and many lakes offering various watersports from kayaking to white-water rafting. There’s a tree-top climbing centre, a little train, mini-golf, bike hire and wonderful walks through the forests.
Art lovers should visit the village of Auvers-sur-Oise where they can follow the artist trails, finding scenes that have been painted by famous artists such as Van Gogh who lived here at the end of his life.
Not to mention the city of Paris, only half an hour away, with its wonderful parks, world-famous museums, river trips along the Seine and magical merry-go-rounds dotted around the city.

Here is a picture book château in a private park with forest views exuding luxury, extravagance and a sense of history, yet only 30km from Paris. Once inhabited by nobility, it used to be a place of sanctuary for royals and is now popular with celebrities. It’s also sought after for that lavish wedding with a difference and its deep champagne cellar ensures that elegant glasses are frequently topped up. A beautiful and stylish event can be held inside the château, with ceremony on the romantic outside terrace and reception in the glamorous crystal chandelier embellished living rooms.
Wedding Reception
Up to 150 people can be seated in the 3 salons inside the château which can all interconnect. Dancing for 150 can take place inside the château at the Garden Level with music until 4am or for larger groups inside a hired marquee in the grounds. Outside music needs to move inside by 9pm.
Wedding Ceremony
A ceremony for up to 150 people can take place in the main front garden of the château or, for smaller groups, on the on the main ground floor terrace. The owners are able to provide details of an English-speaking celebrant.
Where to Stay
30 people can sleep in the château and the owners are able to recommend a hotel where there are a further 100 rooms available within a 10 minute drive from the location. The owners are able to supply details of local transport firms.
Wedding Planning
The owners can recommend an event planner or clients may arrange their own. On request, the owners can help organise any extras for your wedding day.
Catering
The owners can recommend local caterers or clients may arrange their own but there will be an extra fee for the use of the kitchen. The catering can also be done in-house by the château chef. Other information If you are checking in on the event day, the event can start anytime from check in time at 2pm and must finish when the venue closes at 4am the following morning.
Please note that any event rental may be subject to additional charges, venue hire fees and to a higher security deposit, which will be in addition to any published rental rates and fees.
All events are on request only and subject to prior agreement from the owner, who reserves the right to refuse all events without their prior authorisation.
