In a beautifully private and tranquil part of the Loire Valley, surrounded by countryside dotted with wineries, this 17th-century Manor House offers the perfect retreat within striking distance to some of the gems of this wonderful region.
Exposed beams, original stone walls and rustic fireplaces speak of the manoir’s history, while modern amenities and furnishings offer guests comfort and warmth. Four spacious bedrooms in the Manor House accommodate up to eight guests, while the adjoining, newly renovated cottage, ideal for a family with children, sleeps an additional six across three bedrooms (both with the option of adding an extra bed for a supplement.)
Perfect for a pampering holiday or perhaps a unique hen party, the owners can arrange for an in-house masseur to make the most of the massage table in one of the beautifully designed bathrooms for a moment of pure relaxation accompanied by music.
Fantastically secluded with glorious grounds and a heated salt-water swimming pool, spend the days relaxing in the outdoor lounge followed by an evening dining al-fresco by the barbecue and playing your favourite tunes on the duke box, sipping wine from the neighbouring vineyards – you may never want to leave! There's also a wonderful yoga viewing platform at the top of the garden.
Despite this private setting, just a few minutes by car brings you to the local historic town of Doué la Fontaine, well known for being the rose capital of Europe. Just outside you will also find the Bioparc, an animal park in a troglodyte site which provides an immersive experience amidst lush vegetation and waterfalls.
That said, you needn’t travel far to experience the true character of the Loire Valley with Manoir De Levesque’s historical architecture and 17th century charm.
- There is the option of adding two extra beds (one to the Manor House, one to the Cottage) subject to a supplement - please request at the time of booking.
- Please note that the Manor house also has an open staircase (the Cottage is most suitable for families with children).
- The mobile signal at the property is weak so there is a telephone guests can use in the main house, payable locally.
- Please note that only 2 nappy age infants per booking are permitted to stay at Manoir De Levesque (one in the manoir and one in the cottage).
- Please note the discreet housekeeper lives nearby in the gite, but the entrance is separate and only parking is shared.
