In the Loire valley, perfectly located for visiting Saumur and Angers, Maison Forêt Rose is an elegant French home with wonderful gardens, a hot tub and a private 100-hectare forest where deer roam free.
This spacious French home is ideal for a group of friends or family wishing to be close to some of the Loire valley’s greatest attractions whilst being surrounded by the tranquility of a private forest. It’s such a welcoming abode with its lounge, fireplace and large oak table designed for convivial feasts at any time of year. The games room is great for every age with its large table football whilst the bar is a superb place to relax – there is a wine list allowing you to purchase some of the finest wines of the region.
Maison Forêt Rose’s seven bedrooms sleep up to 14 guests whether you choose one of the five king-size doubles, one with its own lounge area, or the two smaller but charming twins. Every bedroom features air-conditioning, a TV and an en suite bath or shower room.
Dip into the garden’s hot tub, open throughout the year, and spend warm summer evenings dining al-fresco before relaxing on the stone terrace as the sun sets. As well as the characterful grounds surrounding the maison, a gate leads through to the private and enclosed forest for long walks passing oaks, chestnuts and hornbeams as you look out for wild flowers or autumnal mushrooms, not to mention birds, deer and other wildlife as well as a large fishing pond.
All of this and you are just minutes away from some of the most popular tourist spots of the region! Rochemenier Troglodyte Village is less than a 5-minute drive away whilst Doué-la-Fontaine is only 7km by car, home to a fantastic animal park, Bioparc de Doué-la-Fontaine, and Les Chemins de la Rose, a botanical garden that showcases thousands of the region’s roses.
Saumur is a delight to explore with its magical château, wine-bars, Cadre Noir equestrian school and beautiful setting on the Loire River. Angers is another exquisite place to spend the day with the incredible Apocalypse Tapestry in the Château d'Angers and don’t miss the picture-perfect village of Candes-Saint-Martin where the Loire and Vienne rivers converge.
Then there is canoeing and kayaking along the rivers, traditional boat rides, the Loire à Vélo cycling trail and endless vineyards near Saumur, Chinon and beyond. Not to mention some of the Loire valley’s grand châteaux from nearby Château de Montreuil-Bellay to the iconic Château d'Azay-le-Rideau and Château de Villandry, both reached within an hour by car.
