Bergerac is just 30km by car, with its medieval old town, vibrant market, excellent dining and well-known wine scene. Further afield, the fairytale lanes of Sarlat-la-Canéda and the prehistoric wonders of Lascaux offer rewarding day trips steeped in history and charm.
