Nestled on its own sandy beach by the blue waters of Discovery Bay, Alvita is a spacious and playful family home. The design is of typical Caribbean gingerbread style, with hand-carved fretwork trimming the length of the house.
The villa is a five-minute walk from both the famous beach, Puerto Seco and local amenities so you will have no trouble finding ways to enjoy your experience!
The sumptuous seven double bedrooms within the villa, benefit from having nine bathrooms ensuring that all guests are covered within the 12,000 square feet of the villa's grounds! The living room has been designed in an open space architectural design, allowing the dazzling Jamaican sunshine throughout its entire space! French doors in this area open up to a lovely 1500 ft colonnade perfect for alfresco dining! The outdoor area is covered in delightful Thunbergia flowers and the colonnade is also covered, providing shade on a hot Jamaican day! And when those days get too hot, you can take a dip in the pool and rest assured for any kids with you, as the villa has floating devices for all little ones!
As well as being a beachfront location, which gives you access to the soft white sand beach and the clear blue sea, you can use the complimentary water activity equipment that the villa has to offer! Nearby, those who wish to watch and relax in the beautiful climate, can do so on the over-the-water gazebo. Enjoy the holiday that will live up to all expectations as Alvita also offers a bar for cocktails and drinks by the pool and beach!
The seven air-conditioned bedrooms have views of the sea and mountain so you can admire picturesque scenes whilst you relax. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom and there are comfy beds for kids too.
To top off this amazing villa experience, your stay will be complimented with a full roster of warm, attentive and accommodating staff including a butler, cook, housekeeper, laundress, and a gardener so all your needs are tended to!

- Please note that you will need to select 14 guests should you wish to have access to all 7 bedrooms. Those selecting fewer guests will only have access to a prorated number of bedrooms based on 2 guests per room.

Location
About the surrounding area of AlvitaVilla Alvita, a testament to the island’s history sits in Discovery Bay, on the northern coast of Jamaica. As the name suggests it is supposedly one of the first parts of Jamaica discovered by Christopher Columbus and the nautical vibe is persistent throughout the town!
The villa itself is located on a beachfront, so you can enjoy intimate times with the whole family without having to travel! However, as you are situated on the northern coast of the Caribbean Sea, you can frolic on any of the area's public beaches! Only a five-minute stroll from Alvita, Puerto Seco's vast, white sand beach makes it a popular choice for both holiday makers and the local residents alike, so if the locals love it, it's a definite must visit! The Puerto Seco Beach Park will entertain both children and adults with its inflatable amusements on the sea!
If you are looking for something different, a touch of adventure, a journey into the underground or the nostalgia of history, Green Grotto Caves is the perfect option. Linked to both the island’s history and area, it is a major natural attraction for both local visitors and tourists who crave adventure. On your outward journey of this enchanting tour, stop at the “Wishing Well” and throw a coin – for luck, for love or any of your heart’s desires! Go and explore but watch out for the bats!
After a connecting experience with nature if you are still craving more, Dunn’s River Falls, is the perfect choice! You will find yourself walking along the beach and right into the falls, a breath-taking landscape that you couldn’t simply walk past, you will have to surrender to the indigenous beauty!
One of the highlights of this area includes the Blue Hole, an obligatory stop for all members of the family. A beautiful, pale, chalky, blue river surrounded and embedded in lush green forest!
The enticing blue water will want to make you jump inside and you can do just that by jumping off one of the many platforms or swinging off one of the various rope swings around the river!
Avita's location offers a wide array of restaurants, shops, bars, beaches and tour and activity services. The villa is just 30 km away from one of the most fascinating places in the Jamaican island, Ocho Rios, a fishing village, where a bite to eat is a must!

Prior to Booking
Please be aware that Jamaica is an island nation that experiences weather patterns dictated by the Atlantic Ocean to the north of the island and the Caribbean Sea to the south of the island. This tropical rainforest climate results in the island experiencing a hurricane season, which usually occurs between June to November. Entry Requirements
Tourists who are British Citizens will not require a visa upon arrival and Departure Tax is included in most flight costs. Please check Entry Requirements before departure.
Getting There
Jamaica has two international airports, Donald Sangster in Montego Bay and Norman Manley, Kingston.
From the US:
There are many direct flights with Jet Blue, Caribbean, Delta, American and United from cities including New York, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston and Philadelphia.
From the UK:
There are direct flights to Montego Bay from Gatwick and Manchester with American Airlines, British Airways or Virgin Atlantic. Glasgow and Belfast passengers can also fly via the US with United Airlines.

Best Suited For: All AgesAlvitas open layout allows families to remain together in the villa whilst enjoying the space of both indoor and outdoor areas. The villa comes equipped with tennis courts and televisions and a large yard, big enough for children to run in and to suit any child's needs. The villa's swimming pool comes with floats, so all children can play to their hearts content!
Beyond the grounds of the villa, immerse yourself into the sea with a range of activities with free use of the paddle boards, snorkelling equipment and sea kayaks.
Alvita's wonderful location means that you can visit the beach anytime you want as it is a beachfront villa! Or if you prefer, you can visit one of the other many fantastic beaches nearby like Laughing Water beach, which is also known as James Bond beach, because the author Ian Fleming wrote the James Bond novels there. The beach also has a water sports centre for your young thrill seekers whilst it has still and calm waters for the littlest of children.
Kids and adults alike will enjoy a day in the many water and adventure parks in the area including Wata Land Park and Yaaman Adventure, where you can feel adrenaline rush on a mud vehicle ride through the jungle, ride camels or swim with the dolphins. Kids will have an unforgettable experience at The Turtle River Falls and Gardens, a vast tropical garden handily nestled in nearby Ocho Rios. Island visitors will gawp in amazement at cascading waterfalls. Lose yourself in the natural beauty that surrounds you and explore the varieties of indigenous and endangered plants that grow naturally in this tropical hideaway.

Villa Staff included at this property:
A full-time dedicated chef, butler, housekeeper and personal laundress attend exclusively to your villa.
Your cook will handle grocery shopping and meal preparation. They will pre-purchase your first few meals plus pantry staples, then finish the week's shopping after meeting with you. At week's end, they will present receipts for all food and beverage and reconcile your account. A typical grocery budget is $55-$65 per adult per day and $20-25 per day for preteens. This may vary up or down depending on market prices and menus.(more luxurious items such as shrimp, lobster, imported meats and Champagne will incur a further charge).
Your cook will also pre-purchase a small starter bar (a few bottles of Red Stripe, moderately-priced wine and rum). Additional alcohol requests will increase your budget. If you wish to go to the various markets with them, you are welcome. Otherwise, simply review your tastes and distastes with them and they'll handle it all while you stay at the villa and relax.
A nanny can be arranged for an average of $12 per hour. Guests should plan to add approximately $20 per day for food for their nanny.

Villa Conditions
- Bedrooms will be allocated dependent upon ‘Number of Guests’ at the time of Booking. Any unused Bedroom(s) may not be available to Guests.
- A 50% deposit may be required for bookings that include Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years Eve.
- A obligatory Gratuity rate of 15% of the overall booking is due to be paid to the Staff before departure. Please plan to pay in Cash (US Dollars or the local currency).

What a wonderful time!
What a wonderful time we had...It rained for 5 days in a row and the sea was too rough to enjoy, but we still had a great time playing beach ball baseball, soccer, and volleyball on the expansive yard and walking down the road to the fishermen's beach and the coral cliffs. (With 8 boys ages 6-12 that was quite an accomplishment.) There were so many spaces to break off and play games, read a book or sit and chat that everyone was comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The last night bonfire was so special and the roast pig was a huge hit. We'll be back!!!!!

Lots of smiles and friendliness
My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and renewed our vows. It is absolutely gorgeous, more than you can ever imagine. It was the perfect place for our ceremony. However, it would not be as amazing if the staff were not who they are. They are the icing on the cake that will make you not want to leave. They were very accommodating, all you had to do was ask and you received. Chef Maylin; Butler Derval; Housekeeper/Laundress - Norine; Gardner - Cat, plus all the others were extremely the best care takers ever. They went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. The grounds of the villa were kept immaculate at all times. We had 8 staff and we, a group of 12, appreciate each and everyone of them. Their smiles and friendliness will always be remembered until we return. This was an awesome experience that will last a life time.
