It boasts a stunning location, surrounded by 65 acres of tranquil countryside.

St Andrews Round House is located just outside the very pretty hamlet of Peat Inn. The hamlet is centred on the Michelin starred restaurant The Peat Inn which was built in the mid 1700’s. It is 7 miles south east of Cupar and 6 miles south west of St Andrews, Scotland’s world-famous Home of Golf. St Andrews is the Kingdom of Fife’s historic gem, famous also for its university, medieval streets and fantastic traditional buildings including St Andrews Cathedral. This superb golf capital boasts 10 fantastic courses including the renowned Old Course.

St Andrews Round House is perfect for celebrations with its beautifully appointed entertainment spaces. It is stylishly furnished and decorated throughout with tartan themes in most rooms. The decor is both elegant and homely. The ground floor is home to a very well equipped designer kitchen and breakfast room, a stunning open plan living and dining space with a circular aspect and 2 gorgeous bedroom suites with stunning oversized headboards, luxury tartan throws and cushions decorating the beds, dressing areas and immaculate bathrooms. The designer kitchen is a chef’s dream with excellent and plentiful appliances, everything you could hope for to prepare gourmet meals. The breakfast area is charming and perfect to sit the whole group. The circular living and dining room is spectacular with sumptuous furnishings, a fabulous chandelier, a huge television with Sky channels, a Bose sound system and double height aspect to the ceiling. The dining table seats 16 guests, perfect if you take another of the houses and want a group dinner.

Upstairs you will find another beautiful living space with comfortable furnishings and access to a roof terrace as well as the three remaining bedroom suites and a stunning family bathroom with a powerful jacuzzi bath. The bedrooms again feature gorgeous headboards as well as wallpapered feature walls. Four of the bedrooms in this house enjoy zip and link beds that can be set up as either large doubles or twins on request and the final offers a superbly comfortable double bed.

Outside guests can pamper themselves in the private hydro spa, enjoy alfresco dining on the terrace, enjoy a short golf game with 5 pitching mats, 6 holes and 2 bunkers, access the Estate’s private 270 yard golf driving range or just relax with sundowner cocktails enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

St Andrews Round House is located just outside of St Andrews, the golfing capital of Scotland in the small hamlet of Peat Inn. Guests can enjoy a delicious gastronomic delight at The Peat Inn, the hamlet’s famous Michelin starred restaurant.

St Andrews is extremely popular for its landscaped, prestigious golf courses but also offers excellent shopping, some wonderful art galleries, interesting museums and spectacular golden beaches. Visitors enjoy fine dining in the atmospheric restaurants as well as delicious ice creams from the local ice cream parlours. There are many exciting and interesting attractions from St Andrews Cathedral and St Andrews Castle to Scotland’s Secret Bunker. The remains of St Andrews Cathedral are a must-see for any visitor. It was once the largest church in Scotland and the museum is home to a fantastic collection of medieval sculptures and relics which were found on the site. For amazing views across St Andrews and Fife, visitors can climb St Rule’s Tower which dates from the 12th century. St Andrews Castle enjoys a history spanning 450 years. It has been a bishop’s palace, a fortress and a state prison.

The Old Course is the golfing location which every golfer aspires to visit. It is one of the most famous golf courses in the world and visitors can join an expert guide to walk around the 1st, 17th and 18th holes, walking in the footsteps of golfing legends and experiencing a player’s eye view. There are ballots to play on the Old Course but you can book in advance to play on some of the other golfing wonders including The Castle Course, The New Course, the Jubilee Course, the Eden Course and the Strathtyrum Course.

Another popular adventure is to take one of the St Andrews Ghost Tours which introduce visitors to many haunted locations including the Cathedral and St Andrews University.

The Fife Pilgrim Way is a wonderfully scenic long-distance walk through the ancient Kingdom of Fife. Visitors can follow in the footsteps of pilgrims who flocked to Fife between the 11th and 16th centuries to be near to the bones of St Andrew, one of Jesus’ disciples. It was considered to be the next best thing to the Holy Land, joining ranks with the Santiago de Compostela and Rome.

Dundee is only half an hour from St Andrews Round House. It is located on the Firth of Tay estuary and enjoys a regenerated waterfront with two nautical museums, RRS Discovery, Captain Scott’s Antarctic expedition ship and HM Frigate Unicorn, the 19th century warship. There are many museums including Verdant Works which celebrates the city’s jute manufacturing heritage and The McManus, Dundee’s Art Gallery and Museum which displays art and archaeological finds.

  • Can't fault this place

    on 30/10/2023

Second trip to this estate and still as good as it was 5 years ago. The standard of the accommodation is second to none. Everything we needed and more. The outside playing area is fantastic and would have been used more if the weather had been kinder. Lots of golf courses near by and places of interest only 15 minutes drive in all directions. 8 of us and our dog loved every second of our short break. The hosts are so kind and welcoming, and with them living next door they were always available to help us. Can't fault this place and hope one day I will be able to return again as there are a lot of plans to add even more facilities.

  • Absolutely perfect

    on 21/04/2023

Great service and beautiful holiday rental

  • Excellent stay!

    on 25/10/2022

This was a long awaited holiday held over because of Covid. It was a family holiday including 5 adults and 5 grandchildren. The facilities were excellent. Driving range, putting area and Spa/Hot tub were well used by all. Excellent Barbeque with fuel provided for our first and as it happened, only BBQ. Kitchen was very well equipped and was where we all sat for our evening meal. The team were very helpful although we were able to sort ourselves out easily with the the instructions available. Definitely a five star rating and hope one day to return. Maybe for my next big birthday!!

  • We had an amazing weekend!

    on 17/10/2022

Having had a recommendation, we booked St Andrews Round House for a family/friends stay to celebrate our 60th birthdays and retirement. We had an amazing weekend! Lots of board games, laughs, golf on the short course, relaxing in the hydro spa along stunning accommodation. Plenty space with 5 luxurious en-suite bedrooms, fabulous kitchen with top of the range appliances, and fantastic living space with two areas to sit and share time together. The whole place is stunning… even had alpacas and woodpeckers pay us a visit. We were so lucky with the weather too.

  • Great Stay

    Created on 28/06/2022

Great accommodation and a great location. John is a great host, the furniture and kitchen facilities are first class.

  • A joint birthday to remember

    Created on 02/05/2022

Booked for a weekend joint birthday celebrations and a wonderful stay from beginning to end. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in on the Friday evening at the beautiful dining table followed by an evening dip in the hydro spa.
After our refreshing cold dip from the beach in St Andrews it was back to St Andrews Round House to get ready for our lunch out. John kindly drove us door to door service for our lunch and transfer back followed by a more relaxing Saturday evening in the upper floor lounge.
This property was absolutely spotless, you would think we were the first ever guests.
Beautiful and highly recommend to all.

  • Couldn't fault a thing...
