Reviews

  • A gem in West Cork

    on 23/09/2023

Fantastic location, especially well shown off by the brilliant weather we had for a whole week! The house is very comfortable and easily accommodated our multiple couples with small children. Great outdoor space and the waterfront is a real bonus. Great for kayaking, SUP and crabbing for small children (require supervision always!). There are also superb beaches and coves within a short drive. We mostly self-catered but Seaview hotel opposite is good for eating out and Manning's for morning coffee. Highly commended rental.

  • One of a kind retreat

    on 25/07/2023

This is a very special property that provides plenty of space and comfort for everyone to enjoy its beauty and that of the surrounding area. We very much hope to return one day.

  • Exceeded expectations

    on 05/07/2023

Marie’s place was by far the best place I’ve ever stayed! It was beautiful, spacious and felt like home. It really exceeded my expectations from the photos I saw beforehand. We had everything we needed and more already there from cooking utensils to books and games. Marie was so accommodating to our needs and quick to respond to any questions we had throughout our stay. We will definitely be back in the future!!

  • What a house

    on 05/05/2023

Is stunning and the perfect place to unwind after touring the beautiful Cork and Kerry countryside. The gardens are magical and just go on and on. Highly recommend asking for recommendations for a private chef- having a lovely meal on the terrace was the perfect start to our stay. Annette is a gracious and helpful house manager. This house is a true gem and the most memorable place I have stayed!

  • Highly recommend

    on 08/09/2022

Stayed for a week and had a wonderful stay! The house was very comfortable and is in a stunning location. It has everything you need for an enjoyable stay complete with gorgeous view of the Bay and kayaks too! Highly recommended and hope to be back soon.

  • The most wonderful stay

    on 04/09/2022

We have just returned from the most wonderful stay at Bantry Bay House, the location is stunning and the photos don't do it justice! We made use of the kayaks every day (lifejackets are provided) and we spotted seals out in the bay. The house itself is enormous, even at full capacity it never felt crowded. One side of the house has a stairgate which was very useful with a 2 year old and we were provided with a travel cot and high chair, which was great. We followed a few of the recommendations, which were fantastic and enjoyed lovely food from Mannings down the road as well as a brilliant massage from Seaview House Hotel opposite. We look forward to returning! Thank you.

  • We'll be back!

    on 18/08/2022

We had the most amazing week at Bantry Bay House. The house itself is comfortable and well equipped, we had everything we could need and more in the kitchen. Outside is beautiful, the view and access to the water was the highlight for us and the hot tub of course! We will definitely return, thank you

  • Bantry Bay House

    on 16/11/2021

We had the best stay in Bantry Bay House. The house was so beautiful and we really enjoyed the jacuzzi and kayaking on the lake. The hosts were so accommodating and kind. We will be returning again

  • We'll be back

    on 22/08/2018

Really nice setting and great hosts. Well recommended

  • I wouldn't change a thing!

    on 24/07/2018

I would definitely recommend this house. It was extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped. The garden is gorgeous with lovely seating areas and a bbq. The hot tub is wonderful and we had great fun with the kayaks. The area is lovely with loads to see and do. We will definitely be back.

  • Absolutely spectacular!

    on 08/06/2018

Don't hesitate to book this rental! A short drive from both Bantry Bay and Glengarriff kept all 13 of us busy, but we also needed a full day to enjoy the home. While no one took advantage of the kayaks (next time!) we loved the hot tub, big common areas, gorgeous gardens/landscaping (pictures can't capture it!) and the views!

  • Really Quite Striking

    on 20/03/2018

Westerly house is a beautiful and spacious home on the bay with modern amenities and in a great location to explore Southern Ireland. It’s a lovely country home off the main road providing a comforting place to relax and yet be close enough to everything one might want to see in the area to be convenient. Each of the rooms are beautifully decorated in a French style reflecting the owners heritage. Modern bathrooms, a TV room, a fireplace, a large kitchen area and a hot tub all contribute to the homes peraonality. We had a great stay.

  • Simply wonderful

    on 18/08/2017

The house is amazing, beautiful view, a lot of space, its cozy and worth a stay. Annette who welcomed us is very kind and helpfully. Marie we didn't meet but her help over the phone was very nice.
