For a dose of history and culture, the most prominent ancient site in Bodrum is the castle of St. Peter, dating back to the Knights of St. John. The theatre, perched on the hillside overlooking the city, is also a worthy visit, constructed during the Hellenistic age. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the presence of an 18-hole golf course in the Yakakoy valley, alongside tennis courts scattered across the peninsula. There are ample opportunities to partake in water sports such as sea kayaking, scuba diving, and parasailing for those with an adventurous spirit.
