Villa Es Costes is a desirable property situated at the foot of the Puig De Maria and is within walking distance of the charming town of Pollenca. This distinctive villa combines the charm of a traditional building with beautiful views and all the modern amenities to make your stay as relaxing as possible. The décor, a combination of vivid and neutral shades, harmonizing perfectly with the property’s natural stone walls and is a lovely example of how traditional Mallorcan architecture can also be given a considered, contemporary feel. 

The villa is ideal for families with young children boasting a purpose-built children’s play park, ready for your enjoyment, and a partially fitted pool fence for extra security around the heated swimming pool (10m x 5m ). The demountable pool fence is located on the lateral side of the pool therefore safe guards the area from the villa terrace steps, along the lawn to the swimming pool.  For families with young children there is also the possibility of fitting a terrace gate so that young children are secure, while on the terrace, and parents have peace of mind.

The villa is set over two floors, making the most of the unusual levels that it was built on. The upper floor is home to the living spaces; the design is spacious and modern throughout. There is a large open-plan living/dining room featuring wooden beamed ceilings and wide open glass walls flooding the room with elegance and light. The elegant interior combines a well designed ultra modern stainless steel kitchen combined with traditional beams and floor to ceiling glass walls. From the kitchen, you can access the outside terrace dining area, ideal for some al-fresco dining, taking advantage of the warm Spanish climate and the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The ground floor is accessed via a wooden staircase, where you will find 2 x double bedrooms & 2 x twin bedrooms, three of which have en-suite bathrooms. Each of the bedrooms have their own character and style, with unusual recessed wardrobe areas, curtained bathroom spaces, exposed Mallorcan stone walls and curved ceilings. One of the twin bedrooms, with a curved Mares stone ceiling, is very spacious and 2 x extra beds for children can be requested at an extra cost. 

The villa is set in a large plot and is the ideal combination of countryside location and walking distance to the stunning town of Pollenca, although the road is unpaved. Both the internal and external aspects of Villa Es Costes have been sensitively designed to keep the natural characteristics of this beautiful area of outstanding natural beauty.

Surrounded by the mountainous area of Puig de Maria, you can simultaneously soak up the sunshine by your private pool and terrace whilst enjoying the company of inquisitive mountain goats and soaring eagles. With a barbecue area perfect for some summer family feasts, this property truly provides a unique holiday experience that you won’t forget.

What you should know…

  • Although the town is within walking distance along a narrow country lane, the beach is a short 10 minute drive away
  • The property has an unusual layout with bedrooms on the ground floor and living spaces on the first floor, making the most of the connection to the outdoor space.
  • In late July each year, the Moors and Christians Festival takes place in Pollensa with a week of festivities culminating in the carnival on the 2nd of August. During this period visitors can expect loud music and celebrations into the night, especially on the 2nd of August.

The property is located in the peaceful countryside, just a short distance from the historic town of Pollensa, and only a short drive to the beautiful bays of Puerto Pollensa and Cala San Vicente.

Pollensa has everything you need for a wonderful holiday, situated inland from some of Spain's finest sand beaches. The town itself centres around beautiful cobbled streets leading to a traditional church. Wander the streets that lead to the church to discover traditional outlets selling a range of foods, arts and crafts as well as cafes, restaurants and bars. The highlight of the week is the authentic and traditional market that occurs every Sunday morning. Get there early to secure the freshest fruit, vegetables, meat and fish.

The Calvari steps provide the best view of the local area, but be warned that to get to the top you have to climb 365 of them. However, the climb is worth it and the views definitely do not disappoint.
