Overview
This charming, traditional finca nestled in the Tramuntana mountains offers everything you could ever want and more to make the most of your stay on the sunny island of Mallorca.
The driveway, lined with fig and almond trees, and the ornate hallway give a warm welcome to the property. From the hall, first enter the bright and cosy living room, full of light and air in the daytime yet ideal for the cooler evenings, with a traditional fireplace at one side. The living room stretches into the indoor dining area through a lovely archway, as the rustic stone wall extends across both rooms. Tasteful artwork is displayed through the property.
As you’ll notice, the colours are consistent throughout the villa, with warm rich tones complementing the modern décor which gives a sense of newness to this otherwise thoroughly traditional country house. The large, airy kitchen represents this perfect combination of old and new, with great modern fittings and facilities in a traditional style.
The wonderful stone walls and wooden beams are present in each bedroom, also, alongside impressive wooden cabinets and inbuilt drawers and cupboards, in-keeping with the style throughout the villa. Each bathroom is modern, bright and immaculate, feeling fresh and refreshing every day. The summer kitchen which extends from the terrace has everything you could possibly need – including an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and a breakfast table.
And once you’ve made it through the great interior of the villa, the wondrous garden awaits: with a huge 14x6m private pool and fabulous built-in barbeque, you’ll enjoy many an idyllic sunny day in the garden! If ever you need to escape the fiery Mallorcan sun, step onto the veranda and delight in the range of seating, relaxation and entertainment options available! From the excellent freestanding BBQ, to the table tennis nicely placed in the shade to avoid overheating, to the extremely comfortable wicker chairs and sofas complete with great white cushions. Notice the great wooden beams extend even out across the veranda to maintain the utterly traditional style of the villa.
And if you feel like venturing beyond the property, the lovely quintessential town of Pollensa is just a short stroll away!

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa de MaderaPollensa is the picture perfect district of Mallorca, regarded as the cultural centre of the north of the island! When people picture Mallorca, they might not know it, but often what they’re picturing is Pollensa. Endless sandy beaches and roads lined with palm-trees set against the stunning backdrop of the Tramuntana mountain range. The diverse landscape, from fertile valleys to steep mountains and gently undulating hills and of course the beaches which seem to stretch endlessly to the horizon, is just one of the reasons that so many great artists have chosen to call this island home throughout the last century.
Just 1.5km away, the town of Pollensa itself will certainly provide your fill of authentic Spanish culture – 17th and 18th century houses, cobbled, winding streets and traditional markets every Sunday! Cafés, bars and restaurants are scattered in amongst traditional shops and large sections of the town are pedestrianised.
Top tip: the viewpoint from the Calvario is an absolute must, if you can manage the climb!

The town has several places of interest to visit, including the Roman bridge, signposted ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town. Here we provide all the information you want to know to make the most of this relaxed yet culturally satisfying inland town.
