A charming five-bedroom, five-bathroom bohemian villa located in the Santanyí region of Mallorca, boasting a pool and views of the countryside. The villa is decorated in keeping with the natural landscape, and flourishes of wood and rustic stone walls complement its aesthetic.

Finca Tribal is positioned close to some of the highlights of the region, including the Mondragó Nature Reserve, which teams with native flora, fauna and protected wetlands, and two of Mallorca’s most popular beaches – S’Amarador and Cala Mondragó.

When you arrive, you’ll make your way through the large, sunlit hallway into the chic living room composed of natural stone and wooden beams. Sunlight streams through the windows giving the room a fresh and airy atmosphere. The living area is split into two, with two large sofas being the focal points where guests love to sit and unwind with a glass of wine in hand. Touches of wicker and wood furnishings in natural tones create a rustic Bohemian style which marries perfectly with Mallorcan stonework.

Five bedrooms dot the house and are all spacious, well-lit, and beautifully decorated with uplifting tones set against the natural stone walls. Three of the bedrooms are found on the first floor. All are ensuite, including the master bedroom, which has a king-size bed and boasts a bathtub, two sinks and a walk-in shower. The ground floor bedroom opens up onto a pretty garden area, and the fifth bedroom has a bunk bed plus space for two extra children if needed.

A warm and homey country-style kitchen is on the ground floor and is equipped with everything guests need to prepare delicious homemade meals with their locally bought produce. For alfresco dining, the villa has two barbecues, one charcoal and one wood-fired, as well as an outdoor dining table which seats ten people.

The highlight of the outside area is undoubtedly the chill-out area with Balinese beds which are perfectly positioned to enjoy garden and pool views. The garden has a private infinity pool which perfectly compliments the lush green surroundings and looks out over the Mallorcan countryside. Sun worshippers will be in their element here, and guests love to spend hours topping up their tans underneath the seemingly endless bright blue sky. If the evenings start to turn a bit cooler, you can fire up the hot tub. You’ll be surrounded by native countryside, so your time outdoors is guaranteed to be peaceful, private, and rejuvenating.

Situated on the southeast coast of Mallorca, the charming historical town of Santanyí is a hit with day trippers and holidaymakers.

Art, history and culture fans will all find something to swoon over here, and it’s no wonder! Blending medieval and modern buildings with stunning turquoise waters, the town is a favourite place to wander and soak up the laid-back Balearic atmosphere.

Take a trip to the town market on Saturday and finish off with breakfast in one of the cafes while people-watching. Santanyí is home to a thriving arts and crafts scene, and you’ll find a gallery to explore on practically every street corner. Budding artists can sign up for a workshop in painting or design while they’re here and create their very own souvenirs to take home with them.

Visitors keen to get out on the water can take a boat to Cabrera nature park. Divers will be in their element with the crystal clear waters, which are home to the native flora and fauna of the island. There’s also the chance to head to take a self-guided tour around the island. Take a picnic and head up to Cabrera Castle for the best views from the island, or sunbathe the day away on one of the small beaches.

Another natural treasure is Parc Natural de Mondragó, accessible by car or bus, where visitors can walk or cycle the island. Choose from coastal walks or inland mountain walks, but one thing you shouldn’t miss is the Mediterranean turtle which has been introduced into the park and which thrives in its crystal blue waters.

For more local beaches, guests can head to Cala Santanyí. 6km away from Santanyí village, the beach is a little developed, being backed by hotels, though it still makes a lovely getaway spot with pristine shallow waters surrounded by pine and palm trees.

Any day trip can be rounded off by an evening visit to one of Santanyí’s excellent restaurants. Try delicious tapas or traditional dishes at authentic Mallorcan restaurants set in the narrow cobblestone streets, a glass of wine in hand.

Cala d'Or – or the 'Golden Bay' – is a popular beach area on the southeast coast of Mallorca, south of Portocolom and neighbouring the coastal town of Portopetro. In Cala d'Or you really get an all-round holiday experience with wonderful beaches, interesting excursions, well-preserved nature and varied nightlife.

Cala d'Or is an excellent spot for a beach holiday thanks to its impressive facilities and wonderful beaches. Huge fun is the mini 'train' which runs along the roads for holidaymakers between the main resort and beaches. The town is also a great base for exploring some of the best natural and historical sights that southeast Mallorca has to offer.

While the high-adrenaline kid's attractions of Mallorca are more concentrated on the south of the island, around Magaluf and Palma de Mallorca, the southeast has an abundance of pretty, clean beaches which are perfect for a family day out.

Just south of Cala d'Or is Cala Mondrago which is popular with both tourists and locals for its white sand and crystal blue waters. Shaded areas, as well as amenities like restaurants and two beach bars, means families can spend a day there in full comfort while the kids play in the sea.

Equally as pretty is Es Trenc, which also happens to be one of the island's more popular beaches. It's no surprise it's high on the must-visit list for families, thanks to its soft clean sand and pristine waters which makes it ideal for little ones who want to swim, splash and paddle. The beach has plenty of facilities, including sun loungers, showers and sun umbrellas.

Adventure seekers will enjoy exploring Mallorca's many natural caves. Cuevas del Drach is home to an underground lake, as well as a number of stalactites and stalagmites. Cuevas del Drach is actually made up of four caves and is located in Porto Cristo, a thirty-minute drive from the villa. Caves can be accessed by boat or by foot, and a boat ride along Lake Martel is there for the taking where guests can also check out the bat colony.

For something to tire the kids out, head over to Aqualand S'Arenal, which is a thirty-five-minute drive away. The park offers something for all ages, from adrenaline rides with names like Kamikaze, King Cobra and The Devil's Tail to the slow-moving river cruise; even parents will be tempted to join in the fun.

An hour's drive away is Karting Magaluf, a staple for families visiting the island. There's also crazy golf at Golf Fantasia. Renowned for being one of the best crazy golf courses in Mallorca, the course is set amongst tropical gardens, caves and waterfalls.

If the whole family isn't tired out from the day's activities, they can make a booking at the Pirate's Adventure Dinner Show featuring acrobatics, music and comedy. Widely considered a must-see show in Mallorca, the event is perfect for families, offering food and drink as well as an uncut adults-only version later in the evening.
