What you should know…
- There are several new builds in the area of Bonaire therefore there may be some occasional noise. For more information, please enquire at time of booking as the new builds progress rapidly therefore, depending on the location of the villa, you may not be affected.
- As well as spending days on the beaches, you really should head inland and visit the dramatic mountainside and some of the charming mountain villages
- Most shops are closed on Sundays in Mallorca so be prepared with your shopping
- The master bedroom suite is truly magnificent. The other bedrooms, albeit lovely, are not in the same league so you may have to draw straws!

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa NovoBonaire is a beautiful and quiet residential area with two romantic little beaches very close the villa. Playa de Sant Pere is a charming, peaceful beach with fine sand, crystal clear water and Playa de Sant Joan, equally lovely, is just around the corner. The nearest beach is 700m from the villa, as is the nearest restaurant and shops.
Alcudia is 3km from the villa with Port d’Alcudia 4km away with its 7 mile long Blue Flag beach. Alcudia’s picturesque marina is the waterside setting for many bars and restaurants. It is a buzzy hub of activity with fun excursions run running from it including day trips to Menorca, dolphin watching tours and glass-bottomed boats. Alcudia Old Town is wonderfully atmospheric for an evening out. It is romantic and charming with its narrow cobbled streets, Romeo and Juliet balconies, cozy, authentic cafes, unique little boutiques, fantastic restaurants and tapas bars and its vibrant open-air market. Its Roman ruins and museum, just outside the walls, are very interesting. Just east of Alcudia Old Town at Playa de Muro, visitors can take SUP padding boarding or even yoga classes on the boards!
Pollensa and Puerta Pollensa are a short drive away. Pollensa is an ancient, charming, attractive, walled town with stunning architecture, modern art galleries, amazing shops, chic, delicious restaurants and a lively market. Puerto Pollensa is wonderful with its dazzling white sand and shallow, warm water. A little further on, Formentor is absolutely spectacular. The road to get there is a little hairy though so be prepared!
There are a number of vineyards around Mallorca where you can taste some delicious wines. Bodegas Can Vidalet at Pollensa and Bodega Butxet are excellent. The Mortitx winery, hidden off a winding road between Pollensa and Lluc, is a young and up-and-coming contender in the Balearic wine market. It is worth the navigating the hairpin bends of the Tramuntana mountain range to find it.

THE REGION
The vibrant northern town of Alcúdia is truly a year-round location, offering life, history and culture throughout all seasons. Lying just one kilometre inland from the famous holiday resort of Port d’Alcúdia, it’s the ideal place to taste rich Mallorcan heritage without having to stray too far off the beaten path.
The pedestrian area offers inviting restaurants, cafés with beautiful terraces and cosy backyards, handicraft shops, stylish boutiques and Mallorcan specialities. Stroll by medieval houses, the proud town hall and the so-called Casas Señoriales, the majestic houses of past nobility. Here and there, you get a glimpse of one of the big, shady patios and time, and again you reach the outer rim of the town wall.
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesChildren will have a wonderful time at this fabulous villa. There is a separate children’s section to the pool and the garden is lovely. The living spaces are enormous so there is plenty of room to play.
The incredibly long Port d’Alcudia Beach is amazing for children. There are many watersports to choose from together with gorgeous, crystal clear water. Watersports Mallorca are based just east of the Old Town at Playa de Muro where children can learn to kitesurf or windsurf as well as hire other equipment. Not far away, a gorgeous tranquil beach is Cala Sant Vicenc. It is an enchanting natural cove lying 4km off the road between Pollensa town and the port. There is a sense of seclusion you will not find at the busier tourist resorts. There a few excellent fish restaurants too. There are plenty of watersports on offer as well as sandcastle building and swimming in the lovely azure shallow waters of Puerto Pollensa. You can take your pick of amazing boat rides from glass-bottom boats to catamarans and speed boats. Dolphin watching is on offer in addition to snorkeling trips and diving lessons. Puerto Pollensa’s floating water park is very popular. Children are given life jackets and swim to the park or use the rope connecting it to the beach. It is challenging and great fun.
The Hotel Bellevue Complex at Puerto Alcudia boasts a thrilling go-karting playground called Kartingmania which is open to all visitors. There is a special track for 4-7 year olds and children over 7 years old can drive on the main track in customized, gasoline-powered karts.
The Hidropark Waterpark in Alcudia boasts kamikaze slides, a wave pool, swimming and water playgrounds. There are gentle slides for very young children. There are also inflatable castles, trampolines, giant floating balls and a golf course. It is set in lush landscaped gardens and is a great day out.
Further away, the thrilling tree top adventure park at Santa Ponsa is set in 9 hectares of pine forest. There are 123 platforms built into the trees with 3 different circuits with bridges, swings, ladders and zip lines for varying abilities. The Pirate circuit is for young children over 4 years old and the Explorer and Extreme circuits are more challenging for older children and adults.
In the direction of Palma you will discover the traditional village of Campanet. The Ses Coves de Campanet are a lovely sight to see. Children love caves and there is a wonderful natural ambience on the small hillside with glorious views over the surrounding countryside. Alternatively, you can head to the Drach Caves at Porto Cristo. You take a boat ride on the lake in the caves and listen to a quartet playing to classical music on a boat, an amazing adventure!

Stunning villa
It is a stunning villa. Check-in was easy, the property company have been extremely helpful. Beds are very comfortable. Showers are good. Plenty of wardrobe space and a dressing area off the main bedroom, which is great. The outside space is fabulous, the sun shines on the side patio in the morning until early afternoon. The Balinese lounger gets the sun from midday and the pool from early afternoon. The view from the balcony and the roof terrace is fabulous. A car is definitely needed to get around. Alcudia old town is nearby - visited for the market on Sunday and also for dinner. Puerto Pollensa is a 20 minute drive away.
