THE REGION
The peaceful quiet atmosphere of Playa Blanca, in the south of the island, makes this area the perfect place to unwind. Sunbathing or enjoying a quiet walk along the promenade whilst watching the sunset are great ways to recharge your batteries. This town, located close to Timanfaya National Park and the Papagayo beaches, has a marina where a ferry can be taken to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura.
Playa Blanca boasts a diversity of beaches catering for all tastes, which can be enjoyed all year round. Nearby, there are hotels of varying categories and restaurants in which to recover your strength. In the evening, breathe in the fresh sea air while browsing in the boutiques or enjoy a pick-me-up coffee to round off a perfect day at the beach.

If you are travelling with older children who wish to explore this region from an entirely different perceptive, a Segway tour is a real treat. Establishments such as Moving Segway Lanzarote pair guests with a state-of-the-art Segway, enabling them to see a collection of tourist hotspots with ease. During a tour, guests will be able to observe a variety of Papagayo beaches as well as the site of Lanzarote’s Indigenous population. Moving Segway Lanzarote is based just under 10-minutes away from the centre of the region and is only suitable for guests aged 14 and over.
Janubio Salt Flats are an incredibly nuanced attraction and are considered to be the largest of their kind within the entirety of the Canary Islands. They were first formed in 1730 after an accumulative collection of eruptions helped to create a series of natural walls that encircled the natural lagoon. Guests are free to explore these grounds at their own pace and observe the spectrum of colours that occur when the sun hits the flats. In addition, guests can also visit the small store and purchase some salt to use in their own cooking back at Lanzarote Moon. Janubio Salt Flats are situated just under 20-minutes away from the centre of Playa Blanca.
The Museo Atlantico, also known as The Underwater Museum, was first founded in 2016 and is best recognised for hosting a series of nuanced underwater sculptures. These pieces were built by acclaimed local artist Jason deCaires Taylor, a pioneer in the underwater art niche. Therefore, guests can travel down to the depths of the ocean and bask in their wonderful pieces as part of a museum experience like none other. Each guest will work alongside a trained instructor who will offer a comprehensive guided tour over the course of five hours. Guests do not need to have any specific diving training and will receive all the equipment they would need to complete a safe and secure dive. The Museo Atlantico can be found just under 10-minutes away from the centre of the region.

Lovely villa - recommend
Stylish villa that felt very new and well appointed. We had a lovely week staying there. Short taxi ride from the marina or main beach area. Only thing is the third bedroom is completely separate and not within the main villa. Not suitable for younger children but a good space for couples or grand parents wanting some quiet.

Outstanding and Very Special!
An outstanding villa, the reality is even better than the photos. Spotlessly clean and with a very much appreciated welcome pack included which was perfect to keep us going after our late evening arrival. The villa is extremely well equipped with every kitchen appliance you might need, towels for bathroom and pool, even hairdryer and straighteners, toiletries and kitchen essentials such as cooking oil, condiments, tea and coffee.
The basement bedroom is a self contained apartment with its' own bathroom, kitchen area and large fridge - brilliant for storing extra water and drinks.
The pool area and gardens are beautifully maintained and the villa itself is in a quiet cul de sac, about 25 minutes easy walk from the beaches, bars and restaurants. Electric scooters are dotted around Playa Blanca for hire to get around and the roads were quiet during our stay.
Our group of 6 had plenty of space and we wouldn't hesitate to return. We'd strongly recommend this villa (but we want to keep it to ourselves!)

Impressive stay
Very impressed. An extensive welcome pack was left for us in the villa with all the essentials and more. Such a welcome treat as we thought we’d struggle a bit after our flight was delayed. The provision of pool towels was also very helpful; something we’ve never had with other villa companies.
The agent responsible for our villa came to visit us in the morning and was extremely friendly and helpful. He answered all of our questions and gave us good tips and information about the island and the local area.
We are sure we will use Oliver’s Travels again in the future.

Fantastic place to stay in playa Blanca!
We really enjoyed our week away in Lanzarote. The villa was exactly as it was advertised.Facilities were great, all you needed was in place regarding hair dryers, iron and ironing board etc.

Two week stay
We stayed at Lanzarote Moon for two weeks early February 2023 in a party of four adults and two small children. The villa was exactly as described and pictured on the website and was cleaned to a high standard. Everything we needed was provided in the villa, plenty of kitchen utensils, iron, ironing board, washer, maiden, hoover, 1 hairdryer in the main bedroom, barbeque, towels for bathing and sunbeds and much more. The pool was a good size and ideal for the children with different levels/steps to get in, even though it said it was heated to 27 degrees it still felt a little on the cool side, the pool cleaner came every few days to keep it up to standard. Cleaners came half way though the stay to clean, change the beds and leave fresh towels. There was a supermarket about a 10 minute walk away (on the way to the marina) which had most things you needed although we did drive the main supermarket to do a big shop. The marina and Playa Blanca town centre were both about a 25-30 minute walk away (it was probably a bit slower for us as we had the children).

The villa was perfect
The villa was perfect, ever nicer and better that shown in photos. Everything was new and clean, no insects at all. We enjoyed a lot the pool and barbaqueu area, perfect for staying with children. All the staff made all the efforts for assuring a great stay, and they got it, specially I would like to thank to Echedey that was very kind with all the family. They gave us a Welcome Pack at the check in, with all the food necessary to spend the first days.
