Location
About the surrounding area of Casa CigneIconic and world-famous, Ibiza town has the best of everything that Mediterranean island life has to offer. The port city has top restaurants, renowned nightclubs, and world-class shopping, and its instagrammable backdrops make it one of Europe’s most sought-after destinations. And if it wasn’t clear that the town is an absolute must-see, just take a look at the number of famous faces who return year after year to be seen at the luxury hotels and spectacular beaches.
There’s also a rich cultural heritage that comes with Ibiza town, which locals are understandably proud of. Visitors can take their pick from the old town and the new town, each with its own charms. The old town, the Dalt Vila, has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and much of the architecture and layout of the area has remained untouched since it was built in the 1600s. There’s also a gothic cathedral with stunning views of the coastline, as well as a fantastic array of museums, galleries, eateries, and local crafts shops. You’ll really feel like you’re walking through history as you meander the narrow cobbled streets and see everything the town has to offer.
A trip to Ibiza isn’t complete without hitting the beaches, and Ibiza town has easy access to some of the best beaches on the island! Cala Bassa’s reputation precedes it, and it’s easy to see why when you see its crystal clear water and white sands. The beach is a popular area for boats and water sports, but there’s a designated area for swimmers too. Pick a shady spot, and people watch or marvel at the daredevils who come here to jump off the rocks.
And we can’t give an overview of Ibiza town without a shout-out to the nightlife. There are far too many clubs to list here, but Pacha, Amnesia, and Privilege are just a few of the legendary late-night powerhouses in Ibiza. Those wanting to explore the nightlife further afield can use the Discobus to get from one club to the other, and wherever you end up, you won’t be disappointed.

THE REGION
The island's capital is romantic and intriguing, exciting and vibrant, brash and buzzing, cosmopolitan and classic; all rolled into one eye-catching package. By day, she's all about shopping, boating, beach-bar-hopping and historical sightseeing; then, by night, alfresco wining and dining, followed by dancing 'til dawn.
You'll find a great selection of small boutiques, high-end fashion stores, shoe shops and all kinds of novelties. It attracts a very international crowd all year round and is a great place to do some celebrity spotting in the summer. There are some great art galleries and history museums, and the pretty ancient citadel of Dalt Vila is a history lesson in itself. We guarantee you'll never be stuck for something to do.
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesWhile Ibiza Town will always draw younger crowds looking for nightlife, those with kids will be rewarded by heading off further afield to find out what Ibiza has to offer.
One of the best beaches for kids is a ten-minute drive away. Cala Llonga is set in an inlet and boasts a children’s playground and a miniature amusement park. Facilities are available at nearby beach bars, so your day out here is sure to be comfortable.
A thirty-minute drive away is the Cap Blanc Aquarium. Set in a large, natural cave, kids can have hours of fun getting up close and personal with fish, octopus, stingrays and more. There’s also a turtle rehabilitation area that nurses sea turtles back to full health before releasing them back into the wild.
A twenty-five-minute drive to the north of the island are the Can Marça Caves, a series of underground caverns with stalagmites and stalactites which create long shadows and are surrounded by an eerie silence. This natural atmospheric delight is sure to get the imaginations of the little ones going, and afterwards, you can enjoy a light and music show with a 30-foot water cascade.
What better way to explore the rugged northern coast of Ibiza than by Jeep. Tour operators will pick you up from your accommodation, and you can spend the day exploring the remote parts of the island, learning about the native flora and fauna, and swimming at a remote sandy beach. The tour is suitable for children six years and over.
Another way to experience the northern part of the island is on horseback. Ibiza Horse Valley offers half-day rides through the mountains or full-day rides to the beach, and the company also operates as a horse rehabilitation programme, saving horses from mistreatment or abandonment. Riders will start their day by meeting all the horses before choosing the one they connect with and would like to ride on the tour.

Lovely villa
We enjoyed evert minute in this house. Very friendly and helpful stuff, nice and clean house we enjoyed the view to the castle. Much better than the pictures! Next year we'd love to go back.

Wonderful, very welcoming
Two weeks in Casa Cigne was perfect, we could have stayed another two. The villa was big, clean and stylish, with a perfect sized pool for a big family (8). The wifi kept our children happy. The weather was hot in August, around 30 - 33 degrees every day, and the lounging area around the pool had sun all day.
Don't miss out! Reserve now and get a full refund if you change your mind within 48hrs.
