For those who are looking for the perfect accommodation to enjoy a golfing holiday in the sun with friends or family, Casa Embalse offers the perfect Mediterranean getaway. Located on the exclusive Salobre Golf Resort, this modern and stylish three-bedroom villa sleeps up to six guests and features a spacious interior, a private pool, and stunning views.
Casa Embalse is set all on one level, making it the ideal choice for families with young children, older guests, or those with limited mobility. The interior is thoroughly modern throughout, with an on-trend white and grey decor that is light and fresh, with glossy white units, glass tables and shiny chrome accents. The living area features comfortable sofas in soft grey that offer guests the perfect space to snuggle and relax in front of the villa’s flat-screen smart TV, and there is ample dining space for everyone to enjoy family meals together. Casa Embalse benefits from a well-equipped kitchen with stylish, high-end appliances that include an integrated oven and microwave, a large fridge-freezer and a coffee machine. The dining and kitchen area is separated by a breakfast bar and seating - the ideal spot for enjoying a morning cuppa or a pre-dinner drink.
The villa’s clean, bright decor continues through into the bedrooms with splashes of sunflower yellow and mustard, adding pops of warm colour to the contemporary white and grey colour pale. Casa Embalse features two twin rooms and a double - ideal for a couple and friends golfing together or for those with children. A cot and highchair are available on request for children up to two years old, ensuring that even the youngest guests can enjoy their stay in comfort.
Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors allow guests at Casa Embalse to move seamlessly from indoor to outdoor living, with a covered and fully-furnished outside lounge and dining area, with comfortable seating and stylish tables. The grounds also feature a built-in barbecue - perfect for preparing alfresco meals after a busy day on the golf course or exploring the surrounding area. What you should know…

About the surrounding area of Casa EmbalseCasa Embalse is set in a relaxing, and tranquil environment on Gran Canaria’s celebrated Salobre Golf Resort, just minutes away from the island’s popular high-end destinations of Maspalomas and Meloneras and all they have to offer in the way of beaches, restaurants and attractions. Guests here can also enjoy fine dining at the restaurants of the hotel Serenity & Salobre, which are situated just minutes away from the villa.
Nearby, Maspalomas is well-known for its vast expanses of coastal dunes, a protected site that covers over a thousand acres. You can explore much of this area on foot, taking in sights such as the beautiful lagoon and lighthouse, but we recommend taking a camel safari for a truly unique and fun way to experience this incredible landscape.
Foodies will be pleased to know that both Maspalomas Meloneras is bursting with fantastic seafront restaurants that offer a tantalising mix of fantastic views and even better food! If seafood is a particular favourite, you’re in for a treat, but you won’t struggle to find other types of cuisine here, either! The region has a wide range of delicious cuisine on offer, such as pulpo and prawns, grilled calamari, paella, steaks, tapas, burgers and pasta dishes - as well as plenty of bars where you can enjoy cocktails and pre-dinner drinks.
If you’re looking to indulge in some retail therapy during your stay in Gran Canaria, you’ll be pleased to know that there are some fantastic outdoor markets to visit in the area, with stalls selling everything from clothing and jewellery to arts, crafts and fresh produce. The aloe vera plant is native to Gran Canaria, so you’ll find a wide array of aloe vera products on sale at the markets here - so be sure to grab some locally-sourced skincare during your visit! If you’re looking for a higher-end shopping experience, we recommend heading to Boulevard Faro, where you’ll find well-known labels like La Perla, Burberry and Tommy Hilfiger. A little further along the seafront, you’ll find the popular Bellavista and El Varadero shopping centres, as well as even more cafes, bars and restaurants to enjoy.

Best Suited For: All AgesCasa Embalse is situated in a residential area overlooking the Salobre Golf Course, a family-friendly resort that offers plenty in the way of leisure activities, as well as restaurants, cafes and bars. Nearby, Maspalomas and Meloneras are home to great beaches and markets, cycling and walking routes, and lots of shopping centres and eateries - so guests of all ages will find plenty to enjoy.
If you’re holidaying in the region with the kids, we recommend enjoying a family day out at Aqualand Maspalomas, a water-based amusement park filled with adrenaline-fuelled waterslides and wave pools. Here you’ll find the opportunity to swim with sea lions, as well as enjoy a serene floating tour of the Pirate River - there really is something for everyone. Oliver recommends booking tickets for the park’s VIP zone, where cushioned sun chairs are serviced by friendly staff and make for a welcome spot for a shady rest.
Maspalomas is also home to the popular tourist attraction Palmitos Park, an interactive zoological and botanical centre that lets guests get up close and personal with exotic birds like parrots, toucans and flamingos. Children of all ages will delight in a walk around the butterfly house before heading to see reptiles such as komodo dragons, caiman and turtles. If cute and furry is more their thing, the park also houses a wide array of cuddly-looking critters, including meerkats, aardvarks and wallabies that the kids will adore! For a truly unique experience, Palmitos Park offers a ‘Dolphin Encounters’ experience where small groups can enjoy half an hour spent with these majestic creatures. Here you’ll learn about their biology and habits in a fun and interactive way and even be able to take some souvenir photographs. The dolphin experience can be booked once you have entered the park rather than in advance, and we recommend reserving your places by 10 am to guarantee you the chance to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
For something a little more gentle and relaxing, a visit to El Faro de Maspalomas - one of the oldest lighthouses in Europe - is a must. This fascinating landmark is a popular tourist destination thanks to its picturesque beach setting and rich history that lends itself perfectly to a calming and interesting family day out. With plenty of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants in the surrounding area, it’s the perfect ‘base camp’ for your day out with the kids, with everything you need: sand, sea, sights and refreshments all in one place.
For a once-in-a-lifetime experience that older kids, in particular, will love, why not plan a trip to the Moonlight Cinema, Europe’s only permanent outdoor cinema. The kids will love cosying up on comfy sofas and blankets as they watch movies under the stars, all while being served freshly prepared food and drinks!

We had a fantastic time
We had a lovely stay in Casa Embalse, it has everything you need and is immaculate. The Salobre staff were available at check in and throughout the stay to answer queries and give recommendations. The heated pool was great and the kids swam every day. We found the location is great - close to lovely beaches , shops and very easy to drive a hire car around. Definitely recommend visit to Roque Nublo . We had a fantastic time and would love to return next year.
