This colourful 4-bedroom villa in Chiclana de la Frontera is around 20 km from Cadiz on Spain's Costa de la Luz and is an absolute treat to the eyes! With a beautiful fenced garden which gets plenty of sun, Villa Oca is around 4 km from the centre of Chiclana de la Frontera and is a great choice for your summer holiday.
The swimming pool is one of the highlights of this property’s appealing outdoor space. There is garden furniture so you can enjoy lazing around in the fresh air, and a barbecue for informal dining with friends. Sun loungers line up on the eye-catching pink terrace facing the pool, which also features a traditional Sevillian fountain.
The house itself is formed of three units. The main house is all on one level and has a large living room and dining area with a fireplace. There’s plenty of seating and an exotic touch lends a boldness to the décor. You have both satellite TV and free Wi-Fi to entertain yourself with at Villa Oca.
The individual furnishings extend to the well-equipped kitchen which has a large fridge freezer, oven and dishwasher, as well as a small dining table and chairs. The house has three double bedrooms and a twin bedroom, with one of these being in the separate casita. All of the bedrooms have their own en-suite facilities, and benefit from air-conditioning and satellite TV. An office and parking for four cars are among this villa’s other advantages.
Chiclana de la Frontera is located to the south of Gaditanian Bay, and Villa Oca itself is only 2 km from the sea. The town is only 35 minutes from Jerez Airport, and around 90 minutes from Seville. There are restaurants, bars, street market and shops, and all sorts of attractions to discover in town. It would be a shame not to try some of the incredible Andalucian cuisine which Chiclana serves up with gusto – not to mention a glass or two of the excellent local wines such as Oloroso and Moscatel.

About the surrounding area of Villa OcaIn the wonderful surroundings of the Bay of Cádiz Natural Park, the large town of Chiclana de la Frontera is a picturesque place where you can enjoy an easy-going atmosphere. At around 30 minutes from the nearest airport at Jerez, the town has a reliably mild climate, and the long, sandy beaches are the ideal place to get some sun.
Chiclana de la Frontera is also a place where you can experience traditional Andalucian customs, if you wish – bullfighting and flamenco dancing are still part of life, and the traditional architecture of the town has been preserved too, with narrow little streets, whitewashed buildings and courtyards filled with flowers.
The natural attractions of this protected area, such as pine forests, lakes and vineyards, mean there is much more than beach life in Chiclana. You won’t have to travel far inland to experience an abundance of greenery, which provides a nice contrast to the coast. As a sizeable town, Chiclana can also provide all you would need in terms of amenities. With far more bars and restaurants than you could ever get around to trying, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to trying the region’s food and wine. Aside from seafood and Spanish sausages, look out for the almond pies made by Augustinian nuns – a local speciality.
For city escapes, you’ll be well-placed. As well as Cádiz, around 28 km away, you have Jerez within a 40-minute drive, while Seville and Gibraltar can both be reached in just under an hour and a half.
