This luxurious two-storey seven-bedroom villa located in the Spanish province of Castellón boasts stunning panoramic views over the historic town of Peñíscola and its pristine beaches. You’re here to relax, so kick off your shoes in the beautiful outdoor space, recline in the cinema, and unwind in the outdoor jacuzzi.
The villa’s cutting-edge interior boasts light-coloured brickwork and large windows, giving a fresh and airy atmosphere with lots of natural light. Each bedroom has been decorated in natural stone hues, is softly lit, and has its own bathroom for privacy. The open plan living and dining area has floor-to-ceiling windows looking out to sea and is the perfect place to enjoy the butler-prepared breakfast. Prepare your meals (or opt to have the private chef prepare them for you) in the fully-equipped American-style kitchen as you sip wine from the wine cellar. If the mood takes you, enjoy your meals al fresco using the exterior kitchen, BBQ and dining area beneath the covered terrace. After your meals, head over to the chiringuito bar and bask in the warm Spanish nights.
Multiple activities make this a great place for active relaxation. Perfect your hole-in-one on the putting green, polish your technique on the tennis court or keep the kids busy with ping-pong and pétanque. If you’re training, head to the cross trainer in the indoor gym or swim some laps in the 100m² swimming pool. Whatever outdoor activity you choose, the panoramic views from the villa are right there with you.
Management service is included in your stay and guarantees attention to all your needs 24 hours a day. Your Villa Manager will be waiting to welcome you and a Spanish/Mediterranean lunch or dinner is provided on arrival.
Take advantage of optional services to enjoy the best possible guest experience. A butler will make sure those little extras are taken care of, meanwhile you can make a night of it with a DJ and barman at your “chiringuito” nights. A security guard can be arranged on request, as well as a babysitter. What you should know…
- The sea conditions are described as 'generally calm', but we'd recommend double-checking on any given day before swimming out with little ones
- The bedrooms are an ample size but are slightly smaller in comparison to the size of other rooms in the villa
- There is no fencing around the pool in the villa so young children shouldn't be left to explore alone

About the surrounding area of Villa LayaThe charming historical town of Peñíscola, known as ‘The City in the Sea’, has been officially named one the most beautiful villages in Spain. The historic quarter of the town is overlooked by a 14th century medieval castle built by the Knights Templar from walls of carved stone. It stands on the highest point of the peninsula and is surrounded by the azure blue waters of the Mediterranean sea, making it the perfect place to stroll and soak up panoramic views.
The quarter is contained by a walled enclosure and was previously used as a fortress and launching place for the battle to unite the Catholic church. The winding cobbled streets of the old town sit at sixty-four metres above sea level and featured in the HBO series Game of Thrones. The town was declared a historical conservation area and in spring and summer the enclosure hosts a Spanish comic film festival and a Baroque music festival.
Large beaches of fine sand and shallow waters surround the outside of the fortress, making it a popular destination for families. Peñíscola also has a large modern town which can be accessed from the beaches, and both the old and the modern town have an abundance of restaurants to choose from. Being a coastal town, expect fresh seafood to feature heavily on the menu along with locally grown produce harvested in the region’s Orange Blossom Coast.
Visitors wanting to explore further afield can go hiking or mountain biking in the Sierra de Irta nature reserve. This protected area of 12,000 hectares of land, boasting 12km of coastline, peaks at 572 metres and is one the most stunning landscapes in Valencia.

Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Laya is a great choice for families with children who are certain to enjoy splashing in the private pool. There’s also ping-pong and Pétanque to keep them entertained, or show their favourite film in the private cinema.
You’ll never be short of family activities in Peñíscola. Younger children will enjoy the tourist train and the horse and cart trips which wind through the town, whilst older children will lap up boat trips, jet ski rental and paddle boarding.
There are a number of sports and recreation grounds in the town with climbing frames, volleyball courts and areas to play football. The South Beach area has a playground with air conditioning, nappy changing facilities, high chairs and areas to heat baby bottles.

Simply the Best!
Villa Laya is absolutely stunning. Such a gem! Our group all really enjoyed our relaxing time here. Lots of space and activities in the villa itself. We spent a lot of time in the private infinity swimming pool and playing tennis. Alongside the main pool, there is shallow small pool ideal for kids who love to be in the water. The tennis court is huge (lots of running around to catch the tennis ball).
Waking into the living room with an amazing view of the sunrise was such an unforgettable memory. Also, we can see the historic town of Peñíscola with the castle from the villa. When the sunset went over the town and only the castle was brightened up, that felt like we were in a fairy tale story, truly magical. We got the speedboat to go around the castle on the second day and we had so much fun. Great view. Lovely weather.
And we can’t say thank you enough to the owner Antonio and his staff, Paul – who went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing time. We went to Antonio’s restaurant and the food was delicious! Antonio was very knowledgably and helpful and he did recommend us lots of place to go during our time there.
