Arranged over two floors, the lower level of Villa Manxa features the main house and living area, whilst the upper floor gives the option of a more private studio-like space.
Stepping through the entrance to a large living-dining area, the room is bright and airy, with a high ceiling featuring exposed timber beams and arch-shaped windows facing out towards the garden. The double room benefits from a smart private bathroom and shower, whilst the second room, with twin beds, has access to a larger shared bathroom that also features the utility space with a washer and dryer for your convenience.
A grand outdoor staircase leads to the upper level, opening out to a generous terrace area that looks over the garden and offers splendid views out to the sea. A table and chairs are well-positioned to sit with a coffee beneath the morning sun or relax over a cold bottle of wine at the end of the day and enjoy the view out to the coast as the sun begins to set. On this floor is the small apartment, with a mini-kitchen and adjoining dining area and a living area that enjoys plenty of natural light through large glass doors. There is also a double bedroom and shower room, giving the option of totally independent space for additional guests.
The glorious garden and lower terrace are enclosed by a wall and dotted with leafy palms and Mediterranean plants, giving a sense of complete seclusion. Positioned in the centre, the sizeable pool is ideal for morning lengths or taking a refreshing dip during the hot afternoons. A double daybed sits in the corner, whilst numerous sun loungers invite you to recline in the sun with a book or opt for a bed beneath one of the dried grass shades and enjoy a siesta.
Beneath the overhang of the upper terrace, a shaded patio area features informal seating with comfortable sofas and chairs. There is also an impressive barbecue, perfect for cooking al fresco. Make the most of the balmy summer nights, and spend a relaxing evening sharing a meal under the stars.

Positioned just outside of the lovely town of Moraira and close to the neighbouring town of Calpe, Villa Manxa is just five minutes from the picturesque coastline, making it a perfect base to explore the surrounding area.
Situated in the famed San Jaime urbanisation, the villa is close to the Club de Ifach, with its beautifully maintained golf course, tennis courts and clubhouse. Spend an energetic afternoon on the course or courts before retiring to the bar for a cold drink on the terrace, where you can enjoy views down to the sea. The club also has a lovely restaurant, offering delicious food and a fun atmosphere, making it a great option for supper out that is within walking distance.
The nearby coastline has countless rocky inlets and charming coves to choose from, and just five minutes drive will bring you to the sea. Cala Advocat is a delightful spot, with a short stretch of sand and concrete quay extending out into the water. Known for its turquoise colour, the sheltered bay is perfect for snorkelling or going rock pooling, and there is a lovely chiringuito (beach bar) serving up snacks and cold drinks. Alternatively, a few bays south, the beautiful Cala de la Fustera offers a crescent of fine white sand and has a number of public facilities, making it a convenient spot to spend the day. Perhaps take a picnic, or after a refreshing swim, head up to the Mandala Beach Bar to enjoy some tapas in the shade.
Less than a 10-minute drive brings you to the lovely town of Moraira. Once just a small fishing village, the Old Town offers a rich cultural heritage, and you can wander the narrow streets to admire the historic buildings and religious architecture, such as the Iglesia Fortaleza de Santa Catalina. Built in the 16th century, a defensive Watchtower sits atop the Mount of Cap D'Or, typically constructed with a circular plan and reaching 11m tall. Accessed via an easy, well-signposted path, the tower sits on the edge of the cliff and boasts wonderful views across the landscape and surrounding coastline. Return to the town for a cold drink or ice cream, or stop at one of the terraced restaurants along the marina and sample a traditional rice dish that forms an important part of the region's cuisine.
The larger town of Calpe, with its imposing Penon de Ifach mountain, is just 20 minutes down the coast, or head inland for an adventurous day at the picturesque waterfalls of Fuentes del Algar. Passing farms with lemon and orange groves, take the winding mountain road to Callosa d'en Sarria where you can access the reserve. Here stroll beneath the shaded forest and explore the cascading waterfalls, or even swim in one of the beautiful natural pools. It is a perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon and discover the region's lesser-known landscape.
