Experience the soul of Catalonia at this beautifully restored residence with origins dating back to the 16th century. Mas Vilafreser offers 1,322 m² of living space set within a vast 76,000 m² estate with woodland, walking trails and a swimming pool. Perfectly positioned between the historic town of Girona and artistic Figueres, it provides a rare setting for extended families or groups of friends to gather and enjoy time together.
Arrival is marked by towering cypress trees and a grand entrance door, leading into characterful interiors with tiled floors, arched ceilings and generous communal spaces. The ground floor includes welcoming living areas such as the billiard and music room and a lounge with Smart TV, while upper floors reveal further cosy lounges, a kitchen blending contemporary and traditional styles, and an impressive top-floor office and library with panoramic views. Throughout the house, there is ample space to retreat quietly or come together socially.
The former farmhouse sleeps up to 15 guests across seven inviting bedrooms, five with private bathrooms. Two air-conditioned queen-size bedrooms are located on the ground floor, including one featuring an original 17th-century press, while upstairs there are four further air-conditioned sleeping arrangements including a duplex double with sofa-bed, alongside three additional bedrooms with fans. Guests also enjoy access to a gym, sauna, barbecues, sports facilities and woodland grounds, while remaining well connected to Banyoles, Girona, Figueres and the beaches and coves of the Costa Brava.

- This is a wonderful holiday home for families with its vast grounds and activities – please note that small children will need to be supervised due to certain historic features as well as ladder-style stairs in the main office and one of the bedrooms

There is a flexible layout for a combined ceremony and reception, all hosted outdoors. There is no indoor event space, so events are entirely open-air. A nearby chapel is available if desired, please enquire for more information.

There is no in-house catering. Couples are free to use recommended external caterers, or bring in their own suppliers.

A list of recommended vendors is available, including photographers, florists, and DJs, but you are free to choose your own wedding suppliers.
