You might not often be on the hunt for the ultimate holiday mansion, but once you discover Villa Vicentra, you’ll be dreaming up reasons to return. With 13 stunning bedrooms sleeping up to 27 guests, this palatial estate is built for unforgettable group getaways. From the vast 5-hectare grounds to the private tennis court, elegant lounges, soaring 4m ceilings, a Steinway piano, and a show-stopping pool – it’s a destination in itself. The sense of grandeur is undeniable, yet it still feels wonderfully inviting and homely. Total privacy is guaranteed thanks to the gated, secluded setting. What a find.
Situated in Sant Vicenç de Montalt on the Maresme Coast, just 40km from Barcelona and a 5-minute walk to the beach, Villa Vicentra boasts spectacular views across the Mediterranean. Built in 1909 and held by the same family for over 50 years, the villa retains its old-world charm and has even starred in several films – it’s easy to see why.
The enormous kitchen is as practical as it is impressive, featuring 2 dishwashers, 6 hobs, 2 ovens, a microwave, 2 fridges, and a freezing/cooling chamber – ideal for catering to large groups. Prefer to relax? A private chef can be arranged, and the hosts are happy to assist with pre-stocking food and drinks. The kitchen conveniently opens onto the main alfresco dining area.
Inside, the ground floor is brimming with character: two stately dining rooms, a breakfast room, libraries, lounges, a TV/conference room, a grand hall with multiple seating areas, and even a chapel. The first floor features five individually styled bedrooms with air conditioning and five bathrooms – most of them ensuite. Some bedrooms lead to a panoramic terrace with sea views, and one even has a private sitting room.
The second floor hosts the remaining bedrooms, including flexible twins and kings (plus one single), most with ensuite bathrooms. The en suite bathroom of the single bedroom is fully adapted for disabled guests, and the villa includes an elevator for accessibility.
The gardens, designed by renowned architect Jean-Baptiste Nicolas Forestier, are simply magical. Expect ornamental ponds, pergolas, ancient trees, vibrant flowers, and countless tranquil or sociable corners to soak it all in. Outdoor activities include tennis, basketball, fronton, table tennis, and of course, lounging by the pool. The pool house even has its own fridge and toilet for added convenience.
Villa Vicentra is a showstopper. It’s an idyllic setting for celebrations, reunions, or any special gathering. The hosts go out of their way to make your stay seamless and special. This is more than a villa – it’s an experience you’ll never forget.
