The villa’s position allows guests to experience the island’s raw natural beauty, with open views across the volcanic terrain and vast skies that make sunsets here particularly memorable.

The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities to explore the landscape that makes this part of the island so distinctive. One of the highlights nearby is the hike up Calderón Hondo, one of Fuerteventura’s most accessible volcanic craters, where a walking path leads to the rim with sweeping views across the lava fields and neighbouring islands. The nearby village of **Lajares** is also well worth visiting, known for its relaxed atmosphere, local cafés and small restaurants that have made it a popular stop for visitors exploring the north of the island.

From the villa, guests can also head towards the coast to discover the beaches around El Cotillo, where wide sandy bays and clear Atlantic waters offer a completely different landscape from the volcanic interior. Lying just 100 km from the African coast, Fuerteventura recalls its neighbour Lanzarote, only with more colour. Resembling shallow piles of saffron, chilli and coriander, there is none of the mist-wreathed pines or cooling, hilly microclimates of Gran Canaria. Blown by the wind and baked by the sun, the island is truly an arresting spectacle: for the full-on, wide-angle perspective of the Martian-like landscape, climb up to the Mirador Astronómico de Sicasumbre and take it all in.
