Casa Gracia, a beautiful 5 bedroom duplex apartment, enjoys an incredible city centre location, perfect for guests wanting to explore this extraordinary city. Casa Gracia is situated on the corner of Plaza Catalunya, just a few metres from one of Barcelona’s largest shopping centres ‘El Corte Ingles’, a 5 minute walk from the bustling Las Ramblas and a 5 minute walk to the heart of the Gothic Quarter and the Born. Surrounded by trendy shops, buzzy bars, cosy cafes, jazz basements, clubs and gourmet restaurants, guests do not have to go far to enjoy the magic of Barcelona when staying at Casa Gracia. The shopping is excellent with El Corte Ingles and Paseo de Gracia Street, home to some of the most luxurious shops in the city!

Casa Gracia is stylish, contemporary and beautiful. It sleeps up to 10 guests in superbly comfortable bedrooms. The main floor is home to an elegant and stylish living room which is opens to a lovely dining room. Glass doors open from the living room to a small furnished balcony where you can enjoy a cold glass of white wine and the bustling scenery. The lounge and dining room enjoy wonderful contemporary furnishings which blend perfectly with the contemporary art decorating the walls. The living room is drowned in sunlight creating a perfect space to relax after a busy day sightseeing in Barcelona. The gleaming galley kitchen offers the very best appliances including a small laundry area integrated with the kitchen furniture. It is easy to prepare delicous feasts though the huge array of culinary delights available in Barcelona may tempt you out.

Two of the five fabulous bedrooms are also located on the main floor. The calm and elegant master enjoys a double bed, a striking feature wall and a walk-in closet. There is another smart double bedroom with single beds which leads to another twin room, accessed via a spiral staircase which is not ideal for toddlers or guests with difficulties climbing stairs. The family bathroom is immaculate and very contemporary in white marble and glass.

A beautiful, trendy staircase leads you to the first floor where there are a further two bedrooms and a fabulous shower room. All of the bedrooms are superbly comfortable, boasting quality linens, rich, wooden floors and beautiful decor. There are vivid colour pops that look wonderful against the cool hues of the walls. The interior design of Casa Gracia is stunning. Contemporary furnishings and striking artwork blend perfectly with exposed brick walls. Many rooms feature striking statement walls with vivid colours or sculptured artworks.

What you should know…

  • Casa Gracia does not offer private parking though you really do not need a car in this central location. If you do hire one, there is a public car park 250 metres away
  • This fabulous duplex apartment is located in a residential area so we kindly request that there are no parties and other neighbours are respected
  • The guests signing the contract for Casa Gracia must be over the age of 21
  • The apartment has a hot water tank of 200 litres which should be plenty but please bear this in mind when lingering in the stunning bathrooms!
  • One of the bedrooms is reached via a narrow spiral staircase. This room is not ideal for toddlers or those less mobile

The ever popular Barcelona offers fabled architectural treasures spanning more than 2000 years, an amazing dining scene, a famous football team, wonderful family entertainment, an electric nightlife and an enchanting seaside. With famous whimsical Gaudi masterpieces including the Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo and Parc Guell, towering temple columns, ancient city walls, subterranean stone corridors, tranquil plazas and soaring cathedrals, the Montjuic hills standing proud over the city and its golden sanded city beach, Barcelona is perfect for a city break.

Barcelona has long inspired artists, including Pablo Picasso and Joan Miro, both of whom have major museums devoted to their works in the city. Camp Nou or a FC Barcelona match will delight the football fans in your group.

Standing proud over the city, the magnificent Montjuic hilltop offers endless exploring, botanic and sculpture gardens, excellent museums, fantastic art galleries, an old castle and breathtaking panoramic views. There is usually a queue to take the cable car up but the hilltop is also on the city bus route.

Barcelona offers a huge range of delicious gastronomy. Incredible seafood, cured hams, delicious tapas and fabulous delicacies are all served in the city’s captivating settings. It might be a 1920’s elegant art nouveau dining room, a classic Basque-styled tapas bar, a Galician seafood tavern or waterside, watching the sunset. Las Rambla enjoys a wonderful food market where you can taste delicious food and wines. At night, Las Ramblas comes alive with alfresco dining and many street musicians. Hidden away, there are charming small tapas bars serving local cured Iberico ham, gazpacho soup and la bomba, a potato croquette served with spicy tomato sauce and a healthy portion of aioli. Many bars serve the famous local Estrella as well as delicious sangria and cocktails. Live music is in abundance with jazz spilling out of basements and the rhythms of flamenco enthralling the crowds. If you are still awake at 3am, there is bound to be a nightclub beckoning!

Gaudi’s Casa Batllo is literally around the corner from Casa Gracia. It features some of the most breathtaking detail ever used by Gaudi in his architecture. The styling of the building is truly organic with very few straight lines to be found anywhere. The shapes curve from one feature to the next.

The building of the Sagrada Familia began in 1882 with Gaudi working on it from 1883 until his death in 1926. At that time less than a quarter of it was finished and today it is still not complete even though it has been made a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In 2010 it was consecrated and made a minor basilica by Pope Benedict XVI.

Barceloneta Beach is a popular spot where visitors can enjoy the dazzling sunshine, paddleboarding, sunset cruises, waterside dining and impressive sand sculptors. The promenade is a delight with many street entertainers and families enjoying the warm evenings. The 4.5km stretch of sandy bays along the shoreline also includes the quieter Nova Icaria and Bogatell Beaches.

Families are very welcome in Barcelona. There are so many interesting and fun attractions including the outstanding beaches. It is easy to get around the city, with the open-top buses being very popular.

Barcelona Zoo, located in the Parc de la Ciutadella, allows visitors to almost touch the animals thanks to open fences. It was created in 1892 and is now home to roughly 2000 animals of 300 different species. It also boasts more than 1300 trees, plants and 332 different botanical varieties.

Barcelona Aquarium is one of Europe’s most important recreational and educational marine centres with 21 aquariums, 11000 animals of 450 species, an 80 metre long underwater tunnel, six million litres of water and an immense Oceanarium. It offers a fantastic educational and fun visit.

At the highest point of the city, you will find Tibidabo, a family amusement park. It is over one hundred years old offering an interesting and amusing day out.

Children also enjoy The Magic Fountain of Montjuic which first spouted on 19 May 1929 during the Great Universal Exhibition. It delivers a spectacular display of light, colour and water acrobatics along to music every Thursday to Sunday during the summer months and on Fridays and Saturdays during the winter. Also built for the Universal Exhibition is Poble Espanyol, a life-size reproduction of different Spanish villages. It is very close to the Magic Fountain. Visitors enjoy the architecture, the crafts, contemporary art, shopping and the food.

The whimsical creations of Gaudi are also a huge family attraction. Park Guell is amazing and the Sagrada Familia just has to be done when in Barcelona.

If your children are desperate for some theme park fun, you can head to Port Aventura. It is made up of the Universal Studios Port Aventura theme park, the Costa Caribe water park, the Hotel El Paso and Hotel Port Aventura, a Beach Club and the Ferrari Land Park. Universal Studios boasts five themed area with exciting rides, colourful shows, parades and plenty of restaurants and bars. Popular cartoon characters such as Woody Woopecker, Popeye and the Pink Panther are hosts in the park.

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit €350 charged to client’s credit card by the owner upon arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.

Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Heating costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
End of stay cleaning included? Extra €125, paid on arrival via credit card directly to the owner. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or garbage disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included in rental price.
Minimum stay 7-6 nights during 'special' seasons. 5-4 nights during peak season. 3 nights during low season.
Changeover day Flexible.
Pets welcome? Not permitted.
Smoking Allowed? Smoking & Vaping are not permitted.
Tax Barcelona City Tourist Tax of €5.50 per person per night for over 16's is not included in the rental price and will need to be paid on arrival via credit card directly to the owner.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, personal belongings, public liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
Other Ts and Cs Please be aware that the lead guest for bookings at Casa Gracia must be over 21 years old.
Other 2 There are several local holidays and events that will affect the price and minimum stay for bookings at this villa. They are Christmas, Integrated Systems Europe, Mobile World Mobile Congress, Easter, Primavera Sound, and Sonar.

    The team was amazing from start to finish! They accommodated us to our needs, and was pleasant from start to finish. Location is perfect! And the space is perfect for groups! This will be the only place I’d stay when I’m visiting Barcelona!

    Great location with tube stops surrounding the apartment, a stones throw from la rambla’s. Very secure and the apartment was very clean.

    This place was worth every penny! The location can’t be beat. Walking distance to many attractions or a cheap cab ride over. Place looks exactly like the pictures. Tons of restaurants, bars, tapas spots all around. And steps away from so many high end shopping stores. I highly recommend it and would return back here if I traveled to Barcelona again.

    We loved the apartment. Ideal for big group holidays. Check-in was fast & easy. Very central location, clean & convenient rooms with full equipment, 2 bathrooms, pleasant decoration.

    This place is amazing! We stayed here with 5 people and had so much room! Everyone got their own bedroom and we still had extra beds. Very central location, we literally walked everywhere. Supermarket just a few doors down, taxi stop across the street. The kitchen in this place is stocked with everything you need. We cooked a gourmet dinner one night and it was perfect for our needs. Would definitely recommend this place and if I come back to Barcelona I would stay here again!
