Accommodating up to eight guests across three uniquely designed bedrooms, Casa Morgmarga is a stunning farmhouse-style villa set in gloriously private surroundings in the heart of Andalusia. Featuring breathtaking mountain and sea views and a lush garden of olive trees, cacti and bougainvillaea, this beautiful property is the perfect retreat for families who want to enjoy a relaxing and memorable holiday in one of Spain's most beautiful regions.
The interior of the villa features an eclectic style throughout, with a mix of modern and retro furnishings and beautiful artworks that create a homely and comfortable haven of relaxation. The living/dining area is spacious and open-plan, with squashy apricot-hued sofas and striped seating, uniquely crafted furnishings and a cosy fireplace. There's a handsome dining table accommodating up to eight guests that is perfect for intimate indoor meals with the whole family, and a separate kitchen space with stylish white units and counters and glossy black accents. Here you'll find all of the modern, high-grade appliances you'll need to cater to yourself and your guests during your stay, including an oven and microwave, coffee machine, washing machine and dishwasher - as well an array of cookware, crockery and utensils.
Casa Moramarga features three beautiful bedrooms, all complete with light and fresh neutral decor, rich wooden furnishings and comfortable beds that promise a restful and relaxing night's sleep. Guests have the choice of two double bedrooms, both complete with double beds and en-suite bathrooms, as well as featuring direct access to the outdoor terrace and pool. One of these double rooms features an extra single bed, making it an ideal choice for a couple travelling with a younger child. The third bedroom at Casa Moramarga features both a double bed and an extra fold-out bed - another great room for those who want to stay in the same room as a family. This bedroom also has en-suite bathroom facilities, air conditioning and access to the pool and terrace.
The outdoor spaces are the jewel in this villa's crown, with stunning, colourful gardens and a spacious porch area that is a joy to behold. Here you'll find a comfortable outdoor lounge area - the perfect spot for sitting back and drinking in the spectacular views. A built-in barbecue grill and covered dining area mean that guests can enjoy alfresco meals in style, and the villa's private pool - which is easily accessible by steps and complete with handrails - is cool and inviting and sure to be enjoyed by guests of all ages.

Location
About the surrounding area of Casa MoramargaCasa Moramarga is just outside of Agua Amarga, which translates as 'Bitter Water'. This area is often described as one of Andalucia's hidden seaside treasures, and with a small population of just 400 people, it largely remains untouched by large-scale tourism. This pretty fishing village has a delightfully laid-back atmosphere, with a beach that is ideal for families thanks to its sheltered location, calm waters and golden sands. There's no seafront promenade here, but visitors enjoy their time strolling along the beach, attending local yoga classes, and frequenting the bars and restaurants that line the beach. If you're after excellent Mediterranean cuisine, you'll find some great spots in the town serving up fresh, traditional food, including El Playa, which is famous for its freshly-caught-fish dishes, tapas bars and wineries, pizzerias, and the designer restaurant 'Oleaje', which offers everything from seafood Paella to grilled meats and vegetarian options.
There are some wonderful independent boutiques for those who want to hunt for unique souvenirs during their stay, including handmade jewellery and clothing. During the summer months and through to October, the beach scene is lively, and the trendy bars are buzzing, and for families, there are plenty of playgrounds to be found - including one right on the beach.
If you've had enough of laying on the beach and want to burn off some of those calorific treats, you'll find plenty of pretty and isolated coves to explore to the south (be sure to take plenty of water!), as well as the site of the mineral loading dock and the old coal store that the town is famous for. Further along, you'll discover the lighthouse that dates back to 1863 and the watchtower Torre de Mesa Roldan, which has been documented since 1497. Film and TV buffs might be interested to learn that the fort you can see here was used as a film location for Game of Thrones, and you can also see the villa featured in the Ben Kingsley film Sexy Beast.

Shaded outdoor lounge and dining areas make it easy to keep the kids out of the sun during the hottest part of the day, and the villa's private pool is sure to be a big hit with guests of all ages and is easily accessible via steps with the added benefit of handrails for safety. Parents should note that the pool isn't fenced, so young children will need to be well-supervised when playing in the vicinity.
The villa is set in a beautiful rural location, just a short distance from beaches, restaurants and shops. The kids will find plenty to see and do here, from building sandcastles on the golden sands and paddling in the clear, calm waters to enjoying one of the local playgrounds. Eating out as a family is made simple thanks to the wide array of restaurants in the area to suit all tastes and budgets. Adventurous young eaters will enjoy trying some of the local seafood dishes on offer, while you'll find plenty to tempt other palates with lots of places offering pizzas, pasta dishes and burgers.
There are lots of places along the coast to explore, and older kids will love the variety of watersports activities on offer. If you're going to take a family walk to the nearby coves, we recommend packing good walking shoes and plenty of water, and it's worth noting that some of the longer routes will be unsuitable for younger children.

Spectacular house
We were looking forward to spending more days, but it was already booked. The incredible place, the spectacular house. We had a problem with water and they quickly solved it. The stay has been wonderful.

The exteriors of the house. The porch and pool are spectacular. The arrival and departure - organization with the host - were perfect.

A privilege of home and environment.
You live on that wonderful porch, with the open house around it. You are independent from the hustle and bustle of the town, but at the same time very close when you feel like going to the beautiful Aguamarga. It is a house that breathes experiences, comfortable and personal. The pool, the garden and the views of the beach... everything is a privilege in this house. The whole family is happy, we will return next year for sure.

Absolutely terrific
So, overwhelmingly: a wonderful home in a fabulous location, in a truly unspoiled, quieter part of this region of Spain. Absolutely terrific, so much so, we already have re-booked for later in the year.
It may be worth guestbook knowing that this is not a soulless, squeaky-perfect rental that some people may be looking for. While it is clean, well-quipped, fabulously furnished and so easy to feel at home in, it also feels like someone's home and - for us- this was part of the appeal. The odd lamp that didn't work or couple of pieces of furniture that were a bit bashed, just did not matter. The only reason for mentioning this at all is because - in our opinion - this lovely home is just perfect; if you're looking for a clinical 'rental only' type of place to stay, who knows?
But you'd be missing out on wonderful all-day-sun, huge swimming pool, outdoor cooking facility, fabulous indoor & outdoor dining options and a bathroom for every bedroom. One of our best ever holidays!
