Since it was lovingly restored, the villa’s harmonious fusion of the old and the new has been delighting visitors time and time again, perfectly encapsulating the timeless magic, and tranquil natural beauty Slovenia has to offer.

Kambra  encompasses two unique buildings - the original main house and a contemporary pavilion. Facing the courtyard, the pavilion’s decking features a well-appointed outdoor kitchen, a grill space, and a casual dining area, the perfect place for a memorable evening meal accompanied by a glass of local wine. The firepit in the garden is another warm and magical spot. On the decking, you will also find the villa’s amazing Finnish hot tub, where you can completely unwind under the stars after a day of exploring the beautiful landscapes of the Karst region.

The main building, with its traditional, honey-coloured stone, is divided into a ground floor, a mezzanine level and another floor above. On the ground floor, you will find a modern, well-appointed kitchen with a view of the courtyard and an elegant, understated dining space. The modern bathroom by the dining area features a shower.

The mezzanine level can be reached by ascending the simple wooden stairs. A modern lounge area with comfortable seating and a large window overlooking the pretty courtyard. The original stone walls and exposed wooden beams give the villa a warm and welcoming ambience. From the mezzanine, a few steps will lead you up to the bedroom of the main house, where you will be sure to sleep soundly after a day spent exploring the fresh air. The bedroom provides views of the courtyard and the ground floor below.

Across the courtyard, in the villa’s pavilion building, guests will be welcomed into a bright and airy interior space. The pavilion features a simple double bedroom with plenty of natural light, a minimalist lounge area with a comfortable sofa bed, a modern bathroom with a shower and a laundry room. The pavilion’s fabulous outdoor kitchen adds to its contemporary charm.

  • Sensational

    on 04/06/2022

The communication with the landlady Vilma was perfect right from the start. All questions were answered quickly and in detail. In the When we got there, Vilma was already waiting for us on a Sunday afternoon and showed us the house and the grounds. The fridge was stocked with salad, vegetables, and delicacies from the local deli. On the kitchen table was a basket filled with vinegar, oil, pasta and a few nibbles. In addition, a well-chilled bottle of white wine, three selected bottles of craft beer, as well as gin and tonic. This is exactly how a holiday should begin. The house itself leaves nothing to be desired, the kitchen is perfectly equipped, the appliances are all of the highest quality. There is a fireplace (we didn't need it), a separate wine fridge (we needed it) and lots of interesting literature to browse through. Outside there is a kitchen with a gas grill and of course the hot tub for up to four people. Furthermore, in the outbuilding there is a storage room in which we really found everything you could need as a holidaymaker. There were beach mats, umbrellas, badminton rackets, games, everything felt like it. Sensational. Vilma and Andrej were always available for questions, which is also a priceless service. All in all a dream holiday in a great property, absolutely recommendable and worth every euro.
