During the summer months, blue skies and the gentle breeze will draw Villa Teodor’s guests outside to the sun-soaked garden and terrace, where a refreshing dip in the swimming pool can be enjoyed whenever you please. On colder days, the pool is heated, and the outdoor jacuzzi is the perfect place to unwind after a day spent on the nearby slopes. A well-appointed outdoor kitchen with a barbecue grill will provide you with the ideal space to prepare a delicious meal using the fantastic local produce you have discovered, which can be enjoyed at the outdoor dining area with dreamlike vistas of the majestic mountains.
Inside the villa, the mesmerising mountain views continue, with the modern open-plan living space benefitting from an abundance of natural light. Here you will find an inviting lounge area with a sumptuous corner sofa, a feature fireplace and a large flatscreen TV. Spend winter evenings chatting in front of the warm glow of the fire, with a glass of excellent Slovenian wine in hand. An elegant dining area overlooked by dual-aspect windows provides a charming space for everyone to gather together and discuss the day’s adventures. Adjacent to the dining area is the villa’s contemporary kitchen, featuring modern appliances and effortless natural wood finishes.
The villa’s three lovely bedrooms feature minimalist décor, in keeping with the style of a modern ski chalet. One spacious bedroom provides guests with a double bed, a bunk bed for two, and a wardrobe. The understated interiors of the other bedrooms include a double bed and a wardrobe in each room. Both of the villa’s modern bathrooms feature a fitted walk-in shower.
Villa Teodor’s luxurious sauna is located on the ground floor and makes for the ideal place to visit after a long day of hiking or skiing, when you are in need of a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. About the surrounding area of Villa TeodorA nature-lovers paradise, the idyllic setting of Gozd Martuljek is bound to enchant with its sublime mountain vistas. With Villa Teodor boasting incredible views of Špik Mountain's sharp peak, restless adventurers will be eager to explore the wonders of the Julian Alps and Triglav National Park, whatever the season, while those in search of a peaceful hillside retreat will enjoy the home comforts of the villa and the tranquillity of the stunning surrounding area.
From the villa, hike for just under an hour and a half, and you will reach Lake Jasna, a frozen wonderland in winter or the ideal spot for a picnic and an invigorating swim in the warmer months. The breathtaking mountain wetlands and rare birds of Zelenci Nature Park are also within hiking distance, as well as Planica, a famous Alpine valley where international ski jumping and cross-country ski competitions are held. For golf enthusiasts, there is a superb course within three kilometres of Villa Teodor, where you can tee off with an unforgettable backdrop.
Located below the iconic Špik Mountain, the beautiful Martuljek Waterfalls are roughly a forty-minute walk away from the villa. The hike to the lower waterfall is challenging but enjoyable. However, a good level of fitness and mountaineering experience is required for those who want to carry on along the trail. The upper waterfall is known for its cascading waters which descend steeply, falling into a limestone gorge from over one hundred metres above. Don't forget to visit Pri Ingotu, an authentic Alpine cabin open from May until October, where traditional food is cooked over an open fire and served outside in the pure mountain air. After a long walk, the mouthwatering strudels and rye bread fresh from the oven will taste even more delicious!
Of course, skiing is always an option come winter! Kranjska Gora is Slovenia's oldest ski resort, offering visitors twenty kilometres of slopes, forty kilometres of cross-country skiing tracks and an exciting snow park with a giant slalom course. The ski school here offers lessons to visitors with all levels of experience, friendly, experienced instructors, and great events and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
For those who fancy travelling a little further afield, Slovenia's fairytale capital city can be reached within an hour by car. You can wander through lively street markets here before visiting the imposing Ljubljana Castle. The stunning beauty of glacial Lake Bled is roughly half an hour's drive away from the villa, so pack a picnic of delicious local produce and make your way to the lake for a day trip to remember.

After a morning of skiing in the sunshine, the whole family can take a walk along a fairytale forest trail, passing snowy trees, charming bridges, glacial lakes and water towers, to the picturesque Alpine village of Mojstrana. Here, kids will be delighted by the Ice Kingdom, featuring thousands of festive lights, a throne for a little king or queen, an ice swing, and a range of simple games and activities for little ones. Don’t forget to walk through the forest to the kingdom’s beautiful Christmas tree.
