From the apartment, this walk takes approximately one hour. You will be tempted to stay here all afternoon, soaking up the sunshine through the trees whilst taking photos of the picturesque waterfall and the woodland around you.
With diverse landscapes and trails varying in intensity, Triglav National Park boasts an abundance of outstanding hiking spots. An early morning drive along alpine roads to Mangart Saddle will give you the ideal opportunity to enjoy a Slovenian sunrise, before you take on the challenge of Mangart Peak, one of the highest mountains in the Julian Alps.
Less than twelve kilometres away from your apartment, the small and lively town of Bovec has become known as Slovenia’s ‘adrenaline capital’, with an exciting array of water-based activities to offer visitors. Bovec is also the perfect example of a traditional alpine town, where you can enjoy a leisurely dinner at a friendly local inn or sit with a coffee and take in the atmosphere of Bovec Square, the setting for a variety of summer events. History enthusiasts can also visit the nearby Ravelnik Outdoor Museum.
Electric mountain bikes are available to rent at Residence Soča, allowing guests to take in more wondrous sights. For an enjoyable challenge, why not ascend to the heights of the Vršič pass? Not for the faint-hearted, this is one of Slovenia's most formidable alpine bike routes, boasting panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The pass can also be traversed by car, so if you would prefer to drive to one of many scenic viewpoints, make sure to pack a picnic full of delicious local produce to enjoy.
