The region hosts wonderful events including the colourful weekly market at Barcelos, carnivals in Viana do Castelo and many religious festivals that have everyone dancing and eating in the streets. The Lima and Minho rivers idle through a succession of pretty towns offering glorious panoramic scenery and exciting water adventures. The whole region enjoys delicious local wines and fantastic gastronomic meals. Caminha is a true delight with a stunning town square boasting its famous clock tower and the ancient Town Hall, noteworthy churches and chapels and a wonderful selection of delicious eateries. From Caminha train station, guests can travel to Vigo in Spain or south to Viana do Castelo. There is a daily ferry linking Galicia to Caminha.
