Exquisite linens decorate the beds and each bedroom enjoys a fabulous, stylish ensuite bathroom. Two of the rooms enjoy kingsize beds, another offers twins and the children’s bedroom boasts twin beds plus a set of bunk beds. What a fun room for siblings, cousins or friends to share. The bathrooms are amazing with walk-in showers or giant baths. They are sleek and super cool, again featuring polished concrete.

Comporta has a rhythm and an ambience that are all it's own. This wild and unspoilt part of Portugal attracts an in-the-know international crowd, including renowned artists, designers, and A-listers.
Comporta has a remarkable diversity of natural systems with long stretches of beach, windswept dunes, scenic pine forests, salt marshes and rice paddies which become a vibrant green in June. The region is also characterized by rice fields and its main attraction, the Comporta beach: 20 kilometres of uninterrupted white sand, a beach lover’s paradise.
As with the rest of Portugal, you can expect sun-blessed weather year-round in Comporta. The best months of the year to visit Comporta for long beach stays are from June to September, while the spring and autumn months are still suitable for picnics or day trips.
ABOUT THE LISBON COAST
The Lisbon Coast is a sensational stretch of golden beaches, wave-lashed cliffs and vibrant seaside towns – but there's more to the Atlantic coastline than that. Delve beneath the surface to discover hidden coves, family-owned seafood restaurants and pristine natural parks.
The coast around Lisbon provides an easy, breezy escape from the capital, whose proximity has made it the stomping ground of kings for the last 1,000 years. In summer, Lisboistas stream into elegant Comporta and Cascais to escape the heat of the city; year-round, surfers hang loose on the coast, waiting for the rollers to crash down on the sand.
But while you're enjoying one of our fantastic villas on Lisbon Coast, you may well want to take some time out from all that sun worship to explore everything else the region has to offer – so we've put together this handy travel guide to give you a little help and inspiration!

Comporta is a wonderful destination for families that love the outdoors. There are watersports galore and amazing boat trips from the Troia marina to watch dolphins, to enjoy sensational sunsets and to explore this stunning coastline. There is so much wildlife including beautiful flamingos and tall storks. There are several surf schools at the beaches with friendly teachers. Horse riding is popular through the company Cavalos na Areia. Children can ride through the rice fields or along the beach, all the nicer at sunset. Kayaking through the rice fields of Comporta is another wonderful treat. The Vala Real is the main water channel and there are many animals to watch along the banks. Tours can be arranged through Cavalos na Areia.
Children love taking the ferry or catamaran over to Setubal, possibly seeing dolphins on the trip. While in Troia there are many beautiful walking trails with lovely views. The marina is very buzzy.
Children love visiting Lisbon with its many family friendly attractions. The Portuguese have a very family-focused culture so young children are welcome everywhere. The Oceanarium was opened in 1998 in the Parque das Nacoes. It boasts a huge collection of marine species including penguins, seagulls, sea otters, sharks, rays, chimaeras, sea horses, starfish, sea urchins, corals, sea anemones, crustacians, octopuses, jelly fish and much more. Lisbon Zoo is popular with sumatran tigers, lions, giraffes, dolphins, birds, pelicans, reptiles and elephants. There is a children’s petting and feeding farm and a fun cable car. On a rainy day KidZania is a child-sized city where children can play at being grown-ups trying out different occupations earning money to spend in the supermarket, renting a car or treating themselves to a haircut. Lisbon is famously built on seven hills which give wonderful views. The number 28 tram makes thrillingly steep ascents and descents as it passes through the different neighbourhoods and past historic sights such as the Cathedral and Basilica de Estrela.
