Welcome to Deluxe Huts! Here you will discover a slightly different kind of modern villa living. Deluxe Huts is comprised of three independent modules, one with sublime living space, another offering a master bedroom suite and the last offering two bedroom suites. The property is set within a gorgeous dune garden with fabulous outside space and only ten minutes walk from the beach. The modules are built brilliantly to integrate with the very natural garden.
Deluxe Huts is located between two of Comporta’s fabulous beaches Praia de Carvalhal and Praia do Pego. With amazing surf, fine golden sand, gorgeous dunes and surrounding fragrant pine forests and rice fields, guests enjoy the natural surroundings and some thrilling watersports on Comporta’s wild beaches. You may even spot Sado dolphins as you swim in the sea. The hippy-chic Herdade da Comporta is comprised of seven tranquil villages including Carvalhal, Comporta, Brejos da Carregueira, Carrasqueira, Possanco, Muda and Sol Troia. The delightful towns of Troia, Grandola and Alcacer do Sal are nearby. The nearest village to Deluxe Huts is Carvalhal which sits next to the Sado Nature Reserve. Comporta offers a very relaxed, laid back stay.
The living space module of Deluxe Huts enjoys a wonderful vaulted ceiling which gives a fantastic feeling of space, together with the doors that you can throw open to the garden and terrace. With brillliant white walls, a dazzling white kitchen and neutral coloured furnishings, the space is bright and airy, drowned in natural light. The kitchen sits at the far end with its excellent appliances including a Nespresso coffee machine and a juicer. Next comes a modern dining table and chairs for six followed by the lounge area with its comfy sofa, trendy chairs and television. This module also offers a useful toilet. The natural decor of the modules creates a fabulous balance between rustic and modern sophistication.
The second module is the master bedroom suite with its sumptuous queen size bed and modern ensuite bathroom. Like the living space, it boasts a gorgeous ceiling and brilliant white walls which enjoy bursts of colour with some striking artwork. The bed is beautifully dressed with luxury linens and gorgeous, vibrant soft furnishings that match the artwork. It is such a lovely place to wake up. You can open the doors fully and wander out for a morning cup of coffee and an early swim. The third building is equally lovely with two bedrooms, each enjoying an immaculate ensuite shower room. One enjoys a beautifully dressed double bed, again with lovely colour pop accessories, and the second boasts a cool trundle bed. This can be used as a single bed or the additional bed can be pulled out if you have six guests. Both of the bedrooms open out onto the pool and garden.
Deluxe Huts is set within a gorgeous sandy garden sprinkled with grasses and plants. A wooden boardwalk pathway runs through the sand making you feel like you are already at the beach. The central swimming pool is wonderful. It is surrounded with luxurious loungers. Next to the living space module is a very attractive pergola offering shade for alfresco dining and lounging. Deluxe Huts is a very special property that enjoys a rustic feel as well as offering luxurious amenities. Its styling is minimalist. Everything is handpicked, natural and individual, all of which creates a beautiful, laid-back holiday property. This dreamy property enjoys a wonderful green backdrop and will make you feel as though you have got away from it all.

Deluxe Huts sits in a lovely sand garden in a wonderful Comporta location, just ten minutes walk from the beach. It is situated between Carvalhal village and the beaches of Praia do Carvalhal and Praia do Pego. Carvalhal is one of the seven villages that make up Herdade da Comporta. Like much of Comporta, the village is surrounded by giant rice fields and gorgeous sand dunes. The beaches of Pego and Carvalhal are renowned for their wild beauty and beach restaurants including the Sal and O’Dinis restaurants. Comporta’s magnificent surfing beaches boast two surf schools which offer courses for all ages and levels. It is such a fantastic place to learn a new sport. Carvalhal enjoys an array of charming cafes and restaurants as well as a central shopping street brimming with antique shops, boutiques and decorating shops. You can enjoy some special treats at the wonderful Spa Oryza.
Just a little further north is the charming village of Comporta. Sitting at the base of the Troia peninsula and at the side of the Sado estuary, it boasts a history going back to the Roman Empire. Comporta is still a hive of agricultural production with rice fields and vineyards producing some delicious white, red and rose wines. Golfers enjoy the fabulous Comporta Dunes course which was designed by David McLay Kidd. It sits within a stunning terrain of pine forest and sand dunes close to Pego beach. A second Comporta course is under construction, Comporta Links. The nearby Troia championship golf course was designed by the famous golf architect Robert Trent Jones. Comporta offers an endless list of activities including horse riding, fishing, hunting, sailing, bird watching and cycling.
Another of Comporta’s attractive villages, Brejos da Carregueira, is located between Comporta village and Carvalhal. The village is surrounded by yet more rice fields and a lush pine forest. The village enjoys an almost private beach which you reach through the fields. Carrasqueira village is located on the banks of the River Sado estuary with lots of agricultural land and colourful fishing boats. Its main street is lined with an array of restaurants, bars, cafes and a few shops. Possanco village is a newish country hamlet surrounded by the protected reserve and with wonderful views of the estuary. Another tiny hamlet is Muda, between Comporta and Bicas, on the way to Grandola. Sol Troia is a privileged area with its pavements sprinkled with towering palm trees and pretty flowers. The village is situated at the centre of the Troia peninsula between Comporta and Troia. It is an idyllic location just off the coast of Setubal and only forty five minutes drive from Lisbon.
The popular town of Troia boasts a championship golf course, a trendy marina, spas and a casino. Visitors enjoy sea and river fishing, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, sailing and cycling. Troia lies at the top of the peninsula just off the coast of Setubal and is overlooked by the Serra da Arrbida Nature Reserve. Visitors can take the ferry over to Setubal which is a twenty five minute crossing with the car or ten minutes if you take the catamaran as a pedestrian. Otherwise, you can drive via Alcacer do Sal and Comporta village. Troia is a fabulous area of natural beauty and is home to much wildlife including flamingoes, storks and dolphins.
South of the Deluxe Huts, the town of Grandola boasts a history going back to the Bronze Age. It was an important outpost for the Roman Empire which included large scale fishing, salting and preservation complexes. The town is typical of the Alentejo with surrounding countryside of agricultural plains and fields of cork, eucalyptus and pine trees. Grandola offers an incredible shoreline which stretches from Troia to Melides. Activities include kayaking, surfing, hiking, windsurfing, scuba diving, hunting for boar, rabbit, hare, quail and wild pigeon and fishing. It offers fantastic gastronomy and quality wines. The handicraft industry in Grandola includes wrought iron, weaving, tapestry, wooden furniture, pottery, cork and leather goods.
The fascinating town of Setubal offers a picturesque, colourful harbour and a very pretty waterfront. Its Manueline monastery, beautiful ancient churches, acclaimed market and its interesting museums are always busy with tourists. Setubal is at the heart of the Portuguese sardine industry and also famed for its delicious, sweet and globally acclaimed moscatel wine.
Not far from Setubal is the enchanting city of Sesimbra. The city is very Portuguese, retaining its original character and heritage. It is famous for its freshly cooked seafood and its breathtaking coastline. The fish markets are amazing events and the family run Marisqueira restaurants are atmospheric and very friendly. There are wonderful, panoramic views from the battlements of the Castelo de Sesimbra of the stunning beach which extends around the entire Sesimbra bay . You can explore the wonderful coastline by kayak, boat tour or dolphin watch tour. The Cabo Espichel, a wild and exposed cliff headland, boasts incredible views, a unique church, lighthouse and two sets of dinosaur footprints. The headland was once an important pilgrimage destination.
The vibrant, cosmopolitan city of Lisbon is roughly one hour and fifteen minutes from Deluxe Huts. It is very popular for its much photographed, colourful trams, its foodie haven Time Out Market, its Oceanarium, its zoo, its pretty azulejos, its markets, its fabulous wine bars and restaurants, its historic monuments, its lovely waterfront and its fabulous squares.
