Tucked away at the end of a private lane and framed by whispering pines and manicured fairways, Casa dos Vinhedos is a captivating retreat in the heart of a private golf estate. The moment you arrive, there’s a sense of quiet elegance, from the golden stone walls to the soft rustle of the garden’s leafy canopy, this is a home that immediately feels both grounded and refined.
Inside, the villa blends natural textures with effortless style. Timber floors, linen drapes and soft neutral hues create a soothing atmosphere throughout the open plan living and dining space. Tall French doors flood the rooms with sunlight and open straight onto the garden, while an open fireplace adds warmth for cooler evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped and functional, ideal for preparing relaxed meals with local ingredients sourced from nearby Azeitão.
With six bedrooms spread across three levels, the house is as suited to large families as it is to groups of friends or golfing getaways. Each bedroom feels calm and characterful, from the cosy attic-style space on the lower level to the top-floor suites with sweeping views over the garden and golf course. The styling is subtle yet thoughtful, with ceiling fans or air conditioning throughout, and well-appointed bathrooms to match.
Outside, the garden feels like a private park. An expansive lawn wraps around the house, enclosing a charming patio with a rustic pergola for long lunches and afternoon wine. The pool glistens in the sun, surrounded by loungers, while a small fountain, bread oven and even a dollhouse add whimsical touches to the outdoor setting.
Set within the Quinta do Peru golf estate, the villa offers direct access to one of Portugal’s most prestigious courses. With the dramatic Arrábida mountains as a backdrop and Lisbon just 30km away, Casa dos Vinhedos combines the charm of country living with the ease of coastal exploration, a rare find for those seeking space, style, and total serenity.
- Some bedrooms feature ceiling fans rather than air-conditioning; however, the house stays naturally cool due to its design.
- The lower-floor bedroom and lounge area offer more privacy but are better suited to older children or teens.
- The villa is in a peaceful residential estate, so guests looking for nightlife will need to head further afield.
