Location

Tavira Azure Villa is set in a quiet residential area just across the bridge from Tavira, placing you within easy reach of one of the Algarve’s most characterful towns. Known for its cobbled streets, riverside setting, and blend of architectural influences, Tavira offers a slower pace with plenty to explore, from local markets to relaxed cafés and restaurants.

The coastline is a highlight, with the ferry to Ilha de Tavira just a short drive away, connecting you to wide stretches of sandy beach within the Ria Formosa Natural Park. Barril Beach and Cacela Velha are also nearby, both known for their scenic surroundings and open coastal views.

The villa’s position makes it easy to explore the eastern Algarve by car, while Faro International Airport is around 40 minutes away, keeping travel straightforward from arrival to departure.

Estoi is a fascinating little town hidden away a few kilometres from the Algarve coastline. It makes for a perfect home base while exploring the region, although there is not much going on in the village itself. Estoi is simple and picturesque, with cobbled streets, whitewashed houses and terracotta roofs. You can begin your exploration of the region’s history right here with the Palácio de Estoi, an exquisite rose-coloured rococo palace which is open to the public and nowadays run as a hotel. Close by there are also the ruins of a Roman villa dating all the way back to the 2nd century AD. But most of what you’ll be doing in the village of Estoi is relaxing and looking on as local life goes around you, as well as travelling to explore the Algarve on your own terms.
