Built during the turn of the 20th century and now beautifully restored, Luxury Sea House is a red beacon located at the heart of Armação de Pêra. With a roof terrace built so you can hear the townsfolk sing songs dedicated to local fishermen, elegant bedrooms, and opulent living areas, every corner of this property feels impressive.

The property has become a famous landmark along the coast, now listed as a historical building. The architecture has Moorish influences and elegant homages to the region’s rich cultural history. As you step inside, the interiors were inspired by the Belle Époque era emerging in the South of France. Unique wooden floors, antique chandeliers and a spectacular staircase will draw your attention, with stylish furnishings and carefully thought-out décor to complement the foundations that have been carefully restored and maintained for years.

A family summer home for almost 80 years, the luxury and style of the property could never get in the way of the homely, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you are travelling with family or friends, the living spaces encourage intimacy and make your time together feel as special as you could imagine.

In the main house, the large open kitchen opens into a living and dining area, as well as a large terracotta terrace that makes the most of the spectacular seafront setting. The ceilings are adorned with sculpted grape vines in tribute to vines that used to thrive in front of the villa itself. The restored staircase leads the way to two ensuite bedrooms and a living room, with more stunning sea views providing an elegant backdrop to every room. A secret door leads to a further rooftop terrace that, many years ago, the owner built to hear the townsfolk sing songs dedicated to local fishermen at the church of “A Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes.”

In front of the property, there is an intimate guest house, which reimagines some charm and character from the main house with a contemporary twist. Inside, there is a duplex suite with a living room and terrace downstairs and an ensuite bedroom upstairs, as well as a further self-contained studio with a bedroom, shower room and balcony. Perfect for older children or grandparents looking for their own space.

Outside, the terrace has been built into the seawall, with it feeling as though the waves are knocking at the back door. With direct access to the beach and the historical town centre, Luxury Sea House offers both a retreat and a chance to immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of the town.

  • The villa is located directly on the seafront, within walking distance of some restaurants, so you may hear some noise from them
  • The area is relatively steep and may not be suitable for some guests to travel on foot, so a car may be helpful
  • There is a main house with two bedrooms and a separate guest house with another two
  • Although this property has no pool, there are plans to build one in the future, but you still have the beach on your doorstep!

Luxury Sea House is a red beacon located at the heart of Armação de Pêra. Perched on the seafront, with the terrace built into the seawall, this charming villa offers a fantastic balance between a sense of privacy and a connection to the bustling town. Within walking distance of both the beach and the town centre, there is so much to do within the local area, making this the perfect Algarve retreat! From the picturesque church square to the delicious flavours of the beachfront restaurant below, the villa offers one of the most idyllic locations in Portugal.

If you are looking for a beach holiday, then in this area, you will be spoiled for choice. Praia de Armação de Pêra is within a 5-minute walk, ideal for a morning swim or moonlit dip! All within a five-minute drive of the villa are Praia Nova, Praia da Cova Redonda, Praia dos Tremocos and two Blue Flag beaches in Praia de Nossa Senhora da Rocha.
 
 While the town and the beaches are within walking distance of Chale Vermelho, we do recommend using a car to get out and about, as the area is relatively steep and may not be suitable for some guests.
 
Albufeira Old Town Square is around a twenty-minute drive or forty-minute bus ride from Luxury Sea House and is known for its buzzing atmosphere and variety of bars, restaurants, shops and galleries. The ancient fishing village is set across quaint cobblestone streets that visitors can get lost in while selecting from the fantastic variety of drinking spots, eateries and live entertainment.

The Algarve has long been popular for family holidays, with no shortage of facilities, beaches and welcoming activities to keep all ages entertained. With the beach on your doorstep, kids will be in heaven, splashing in the sea, playing in the sand and taking in the magic of this historic villa.

The separate guest house is brilliant for couples with young children that need some privacy or even for older children that want to enjoy their own space. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax, as well as some fabulous entertaining spaces where you can focus on quality time together as a family.

The family-friendly nature of the Algarve means children are welcomed wherever they go. With golf, tennis, diving, canoeing, cycling, sailing boat rental, and so much more, the list of activities is endless. There are plenty of children’s play areas, not to mention the huge expanses of beaches that provide perhaps the best play area of all! For the whole family, snorkelling, boating excursions and thrilling watersports are all on offer, providing memories and stories to carry with you back home and through your lives.

In the nearby town of Guia, there is the fantastic Zoomarine waterpark to enjoy. There are several restaurants within the waterpark, as well as plenty of green space to kick back; mums and dads can have a well-earned break while the kids amuse themselves on the big wheel, log flume and pirate ship: the ideal way to spend a day out. Slide and Splash, located in Estômbar, is full of spiralling water chutes and slides, as well as river rapids and a giant jacuzzi. Aquashow, another waterpark located in Quarteira, also offers bird of prey and parrot shows, mini golf and a wax museum.
 
Krazy World Zoo in Algoz is another brilliant day trip to take as a family. There are not only animals to look at but lots of activities to get involved in too. Feeding times are always popular, as are the reptile shows. Kids can have a go at pony riding, play mini golf, take a dip in the tropical pools or enjoy some time at the little funfair. It is easy to spend a whole day at this popular attraction.

Security deposit €2,500 charged to client’s credit card by the owner before/upon arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.
Arrival time 4 pm.
Departure time 10 am.
Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Heating costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price, and changed twice a week.
Pool towels included? No.
End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or garbage disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included.
Minimum stay 7 nights during peak season. 4-5 nights during other periods.
Changeover day Saturday during peak season. Flexible during other periods.
Pets welcome? Not allowed.
Smoking Allowed? Smoking & Vaping are not permitted.
Pool heating charge? Not available on this property.

Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
