Arriving at Villa Carvoeiro, you’ll immediately notice the spacious plot, which is completely surrounded by walls, fences and plantlife, providing you with the utmost privacy during your stay. The villa is situated on a quiet street in a residential neighbourhood, making it the perfect home away from home.
Upon entry, cosy traditional decor helps you to feel at home with cool tiled floors and clean white-washed walls.
Your main living area is spacious and well-presented, comprised of a combination living room and diner. A large L-shaped sofa offers plenty of seating with a TV for your viewing. Your kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need to make delicious home-cooked meals during your stay, with the nearest supermarket less than a five-minute drive away.
Villa Carvoeiro can comfortably accommodate up to six guests spread across three comfortable bedrooms. Each bedroom features a double bed with its own private en-suite bathroom, two of which feature showers and ground-level terraces. The master bedroom is located on the upper level and has a balcony with spectacular sea views and a private bathroom with a luxurious jacuzzi bath.
Outside, you have a spacious garden and patio area all to yourselves, complete with a barbecue which is yours to use whenever you like. A second dining space is also available on the outdoor terrace, making it perfect for light lunches and casual evening meals. Just steps away from the villa is a large private swimming pool complete with sunloungers.
Outside you’ll also find that Villa Carvoeiro has a private driveway with space for two small cars, which is accessible via a lockable gate. There’s also a garage should you require additional parking space.

About the surrounding area of Villa CarvoeiroOne of the best things about Villa Carvoeiro is easily its location. The villa itself is located on a quiet street in a residential neighbourhood with lots of privacy, making it the perfect place for those wanting to rest and relax on their holiday.
To get to Villa Carvoeiro, you'll arrive at Faro Airport, where Villa Carvoeiro is just a 45-minute drive westward. While you can get a taxi from the airport, we recommend renting a car. As the area surrounding Villa Carvoeiro is relatively hilly and set away from most activities and places of interest, having access to your own vehicle will make getting out and about easy, especially if you're travelling with young children or people with limited mobility.
Your nearest beaches are the quiet Praia do Vale de Lapa and Praia da Cama da Vaca; however, both of these beaches are only accessible by foot and are located downhill from the villa and may not be suitable for everybody. The most popular and most easily accessible beach in your area will be Praia de Carvoeiro which is less than a ten-minute drive away from Villa Carvoeiro.
While visiting Praia de Carvoeiro, you can also visit the surrounding town, which has several shops, bars and restaurants you can try.
For culture, the historic town of Lagos is just a 30-minute drive away from your villa. Here, you can visit some of the Algarve's most popular eateries and visit popular sites like the Igreja de Santo António, an 18th-century church, and the iconic Castelo dos Governadores.

THE REGION
Carvoeiro has always been known for its beautiful coastline, adorned with cliffs, coves and incredible sandy beaches stretching all the way along to Albufeira. These days, however, there is a lot more going on in this charming town than just waves hitting the sand (although that’s certainly still a highlight).
In the past few years Carvoeiro has developed to accommodate for the growing number of tourists who are curious to see what the fuzz is all about, and the town continues to get livelier and livelier each summer. While it has kept its character and remains exquisitely peaceful, there are also plenty of modern amenities and loads of exciting activities in the area. The only thing Carvoeiro won’t provide is a good party, but there are other parts of the Algarve which are perfect for that.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Carvoeiro is a great place to stay for families of all ages. With lots of space and privacy around the property, kids are sure to love being able to have the run of the property during their stay.
Within the villa, kids can benefit from internet access throughout, letting them keep up to date with their friends and favourite media while away. The villa’s TV is equipped with a DVD player, so kids can be kept entertained with their favourite movies and series.
Your private outdoor swimming pool is ideal for groups with children as they’re able to swim, play and relax at their own leisure, removing the stress of planning your days around trips back to your hotel room. The spacious grounds of your villa also provide ample space for garden games and activities where kids can run free and play in the sun.
At Praia de Carvoeiro, you’ll find an ideal beach for families. With calm waters and clean golden sands, you can kick back and relax or rent simple watersports equipment such as pedalos.
You’ll also find plenty of things for kids to do within driving distance of Villa Carvoeiro. Keep little holidaymakers active with a trip to Krazy World, a fantastic amusement park located just 30 minutes from home base. Krazy World is ideal for adventurous kids who like to be kept busy, with interactive zoo enclosures, swimming pools, paintball ranges and even mini-golf.
For a day of rip-roaring water-based fun, you can head over to Slide and Splash, a specially-designed water park that is less than 10 minutes away from Villa Carvoeiro. With shallow splash pools for little visitors and adrenaline-pumping waterslides for older ones, Slide and Splash is a great day out for families of all ages.
Slightly further afield, you can enjoy lots of kid-friendly activities in and around Lagos town. One of the most popular attractions for families is the Lagos Tourist Train, a small land train that embarks on a 55-minute sight-seeing journey around the beautiful town.

Fabulous location
A beautiful villa in a fabulous location. However, although a washing machine is listed as an amenity it seems one isn’t available to us which with two children is a “let down” and a misrepresentation in the details. Also it seems there is only tv in German which is ok as we have brought our own devices but may not be the case for other visitors.

The Thompsons Stay!
What a wonderful villa that was perfect for our needs! Definitely needed a car, which we had, so very easy to drop down into Carvoeiro with everything this lovely resort has to offer. We also did the clifftop walks that were a 1 minute walk from the villa - absolutely stunning! We especially enjoyed the pool with its pool heating as well as the open access downstairs living space with around 8 doors opening out onto the raised patio overlooking the pool. The BBQ was also fantastic and easy to use. I would highly recommend this villa if you want a perfect holiday!
