THE REGION
Carvoeiro has always been known for its beautiful coastline, adorned with cliffs, coves and incredible sandy beaches stretching all the way along to Albufeira. These days, however, there is a lot more going on in this charming town than just waves hitting the sand (although that’s certainly still a highlight).
In the past few years Carvoeiro has developed to accommodate for the growing number of tourists who are curious to see what the fuzz is all about, and the town continues to get livelier and livelier each summer. While it has kept its character and remains exquisitely peaceful, there are also plenty of modern amenities and loads of exciting activities in the area. The only thing Carvoeiro won’t provide is a good party, but there are other parts of the Algarve which are perfect for that.

As such, this is an incredible activity for those looking to try something completely new whilst on holiday. Slide and Splash Waterpark is situated just 15 minutes away from Lux Cana.
Alfanzaia Lighthouse is one of the region’s most iconic landmarks and can be found just under 10 minutes away from the villa. First constructed in 1920, this looming monument was once used to guide delicate fishing boats toward a collection of lucrative sea creatures such as squid and octopuses. Thus, this monument helps to exemplify the region’s far-reaching maritime history. Guests are also encouraged to climb to the very top of this lighthouse, basking in a vast selection of panoramic experiences as they travel through. Zoo-Marine and Amusement Park is an eclectic theme park that can be found just over half an hour away from Lux Cana. The villa is beautiful. The view from every room in the house is unrivaled. The pool and garden area really are spectacular. Marco was a great support throughout.
We would usually expect a small welcome pack of basic food items at a property of this scale such as salt, pepper, oil. It is also difficult to get taxis or ubers to come to the villa so best to have a car if possible. -

The view from the property was exceptional.T he villa was very spacious and beds were very comfortable. The oven was not working however Marco, the property manager was very quick to bring us a barbecue which was great.
