Just a few kilometres away is the charming village of Boliqueime and 12-14km away are the gorgeous beaches of the Algarve and the vibrant towns of Albufeira and Vilamoura. How fabulous to be able to enjoy the buzz of these fantastic towns and return to the tranquillity and space of Casa Amendoa.
You will be seriously impressed when arriving at Casa Amendoa. The distinctive blue and white painted exterior is delightful, and the grounds are exquisite. The farmhouse is built in a U-shape around a central courtyard. The interior is elegant and graceful with superb, contemporary furnishings and fittings. The accommodation is spread across three floors with a very large annexe housing a second living room and games room.
The main living, dining and kitchen area is magnificent, open plan in design, with graceful arches between the kitchen and dining area. The vaulted wooden ceilings throughout are gorgeous, and the brilliant white and soft hues give the villa such a cool and elegant feel. With traditional terracotta tiled floors in all of the rooms, the villa flows wonderfully. A very large refectory table allows all guest to dine inside together and the kitchen is extremely well fitted. Throughout the villa, you will admire the hand-chosen artworks, sculptures and pieces of furniture. The blend of contemporary with authentic Portuguese is just perfect.
The first of the five extremely spacious bedrooms is on the lower ground floor. It is luxurious and has a lovely, welcoming ambience. All of the bedrooms have their own ensuite bathroom. This bedroom opens directly onto a terrace and the beautiful gardens. Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor. One is a dazzling double with ensuite shower room and doors opening onto a terrace, and the other is a delightful twin. Here you have a bath with a handheld shower. Again the linens are soft and luxurious.
The remaining two havens of tranquillity are located on the first floor. One has a kingsize bed, and the other is a twin. Both have access to a lovely balcony where you can enjoy magnificent views.
The impressive annexe is a wonder, with a huge living area and games room. Youngsters and adults alike will enjoy the table tennis, pool and table football on offer. There are also tables for games of cards and lovely chill-out areas. Playstation 4 is also provided for entertainment.
Casa Amendoa’s grounds are beautiful. Very clever planting with olive, cypress and palm trees, lush lawns, handpicked shrubs and plants and pretty pathways meandering between the trees create a wonderful feel. There is a stunning vista at every turn, particularly from the main swimming pool where two majestic palms frame the view of the countryside below and out towards the sea. The 12m x 5m pool is lovely, and there is a separate children’s pool. Alfresco dining under the shade of a timber pergola is wonderful. You can enjoy the villa’s built-in barbecue and watch the sun go down.
