The supple grass serves as a graceful frame to the inviting cerulean embrace of the pool, with the option to indulge in its warmth upon request. Elegantly placed loungers and parasols dot the expanse along the elongated pool, inviting leisurely sun-soaked afternoons accompanied by cool libations. The addition of a hammock and a secluded tennis court introduces the prospect of a balanced holiday – oscillating between well-earned siestas and triumphant aces on the court. Crossing the threshold into Villa Ruksha reveals a profusion of Moroccan opulence, commencing with the Moorish fountain that imbues the common living spaces with a serene ambience, amplified by the tranquil sound of flowing water. Meticulously handcrafted traditional carpets bestow an air of local authenticity, artfully adorning the residence and evoking the essence of old-world Marrakech, creating an environment primed for relaxation and comfort. As the evening sun gives way to the night's embrace, the villa undergoes a transformation orchestrated by your dedicated housekeeper as warm illumination spills forth, casting a cosy glow. Location
About the surrounding area of Villa RukshaMarrakech, a mesmerizing city nestled in the heart of Morocco, exudes an irresistible blend of history, culture, and vibrant energy. With its labyrinthine medina, bustling souks, and enchanting architecture, Marrakech stands as a captivating gateway to North African allure.
The city's beating heart lies within the historic medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where narrow alleyways wind their way through an intricate tapestry of palaces, riads, and mosques. The medina's pièce de résistance is the iconic Jemaa el-Fnaa square, a bustling hub of activity where snake charmers, storytellers, and exotic stalls coalesce in a sensory symphony. As the sun sets, the square transforms into a lively carnival of lights, aromas, and music, casting an enchanting spell on both locals and visitors alike.
Marrakech's architectural splendour is magnificently showcased in its palaces and gardens. The Bahia Palace, adorned with ornate stucco and intricate mosaics, whispers tales of the opulent lives led by its former inhabitants. The Saadian Tombs, hidden for centuries, unveil a serene necropolis adorned with delicate carvings and tranquil courtyards.
The city's soul lies within its souks, a labyrinth of markets that unveil an endless array of treasures – from hand-woven textiles and traditional leather goods to fragrant spices and gleaming lanterns. Bargaining is an art form here, and engaging with the local vendors is a delightful way to immerse oneself in the rhythm of Marrakech.
For moments of reprieve, the Majorelle Garden offers a serene oasis. This vibrant sanctuary, once owned by Yves Saint Laurent, is a haven of cobalt blue buildings, exotic flora, and tranquil pools – a testament to Marrakech's fusion of creativity and natural beauty.
Marrakech's allure extends beyond its historic core. Glimpses of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains provide a dramatic backdrop, and nearby oases and palm groves beckon for exploration. Whether savouring a traditional tagine dish, wandering the serene Menara Gardens, or admiring the architectural grandeur of the Koutoubia Mosque, the city's cultural richness and kaleidoscope of experiences never cease to captivate.
Intriguing, vibrant, and steeped in tradition, Marrakech offers a remarkable journey into the heart of Morocco's mystique. With each step through its bustling streets and hidden alleys, the city weaves an unforgettable tapestry of memories long after departure.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesIt may not be an obvious family holiday destination, but the magical city of Marrakech will capture the imagination of children of any age, it's a completely different world with almost guaranteed sunshine, great food and so many places waiting to be explored
Getting lost in the souks as you no doubt will seems to really engage children as they try to get their bearings on their favourite stalls. It is easy to spend hours ambling from one stall to another in the labyrinth of little alleys, and however far you go it is never difficult to make your way back to the Djemaa el Fna. Also, if confident enough they will love to haggle, bargaining for any souvenirs that have caught their eye. Haggling is the norm here and is also a great way to get to know the locals.
If you are looking for an action packed day to tire the kids out so that you can have a relaxing evening to yourselves, taking a day away to experience the area on guided day trip to the Ouzoud Falls, North Africa’s highest waterfalls, is great fun for the family. Your guide will show you the best routes through olive groves owned by generations of Berber to the gorge below the waterfalls. At the base, stroll by the river and marvel at the 3-tiered falls, which cascade into a pool, there is plenty time for a swim and boat ride up to the cascades. The views from the steps back up are incredible, the rainbows created by the mists of the waterfalls creating amazing photo opportunities as do the monkeys the gather here for titbits, the Instagram photos will of course have to be posted before bedtime.
For an unforgettable family day out why not take a guided day trip to the Atlas Mountains. Enjoy being driven through traditional villages and orchard-filled valleys framed by rugged peaks, then perhaps stop for a camel ride before venturing deep into the Imlil Valley. Break for Moroccan tea and cake on a scenic terrace and chat to your guide about Ait Souka Village your next stop. At this point you can choose how you get there whether it be on foot, by mini bus, or there is even the chance to ride a mule. Here, enjoy a traditional Berber lunch, including tajine (slow-cooked stew), and visit a Berber family home to learn about their lifestyle, continuing on to Moulay Brahim near the Asni Valley, and absorb the views of Mt. Toukbal before returning to Marrakech.
