Designed by the fantastic Paris-based architecture practice Studio Beja Pujol, the phenomenal Villa Brahim is the perfect pick for families or groups of friends that appreciate contemporary design and a looking for a truly luxurious holiday. The villa sits in a large palm grove in the Palmeraie, Marrakech offering guests a tranquil setting which invites relaxation and rejuvenation. This incredible project was conceived as a series of irregularly stacked contemporary cubes, creating two independent asymmetric structures which are cut through with a dramatic strip of water, a thirty-five metres long swimming pool that brilliantly reflects the structure back at itself. The building’s precise rectangular form contrasts brilliantly with its gentle, landscaped mounds in the enormous garden. The use of materials and this villa’s breathtaking setting are simply astounding. Your views will be maximised by open walls of glass, and every element of the design has been created to work in unison with the concept of indoor, and outdoor living. This is a villa that is truly unforgettable! You will feel the tranquillity fold around you as you relax with your loved ones in absolute peace and quiet, knowing that the dizzy, buzzing centre of Marrakech and its many treats are only fifteen to twenty minutes away in the car. The villa comes with a dedicated team of staff that will ensure that you enjoy the holiday of your dreams.

Villa Brahim is chic, effortlessly stylish, oozes luxury and comes with a carefully curated selection of trendy contemporary furnishings. It will dazzle the entrance, and its clean lines and cool vibe will encourage you to embrace the calm. The villa boasts five magnificent bedroom suites, which are all in one structure, and a fabulous open plan living space, a chef’s dream of a kitchen and a well-equipped gym and games room which are located in the larger structure. Walls of sliding doors open to large terraces and the garden beyond. The architects drew inspiration from the casbahs and the villages of the Moroccan Berbers when designing this villa. Within its walls of rammed earth and red brick, the matt plasterwork is reminiscent of Moroccan tadelakt plaster with a modern twist, and its floors are concrete softened with a wax finish or tiled with handmade clay tiles, arranged on their edges to create a contemporary pattern. Moroccan walnut is used throughout. Villa Brahim feels natural, calm and totally luxurious.

The villa’s open-plan living room is a capsule of contemporary cool which offers truly astonishing views of the garden and the dramatic Atlas Mountains. A contemporary fireplace separates the living area from the dining area. The room is liberally sprinkled with sumptuous sofas, trendy accent chairs, and giant contemporary artworks, plus, the inner courtyard, with its century-old olive tree, is in full view, looking like an additional piece of artwork. A giant screen comes down over the super cool fireplace to turn the living area into an impressive movie theatre. The dining area boasts an enormous stylish dining table and chairs for twelve, modern art and a huge picture window that allows you to dine with captivating garden views. Space, stunning views and lux living come in lavish abundance at Villa Brahim! The gym is a fabulous space with an excellent array of equipment and a football table for fun.

The villa’s five-bedroom suites are simply fabulous, all inviting long lazy lie-ins with gorgeous furnishings, beautiful artwork, divine linens and top-notch ensuite bathrooms. Three of the suites are on the ground floor with direct access to the terrace, garden and pool, while the other two are above with private balconies. The bedrooms are heavenly havens where you will enjoy the sleep of kings on lavish kingsize beds. All but one room enjoy super cool fireplaces, and all enjoy televisions. Of the ground-floor ensuite bathrooms, two boast walk-in showers, and one enjoys both a walk-in shower and a freestanding bath. Upstairs, both bathrooms enjoy baths and showers. Every bedroom suite at Villa Brahim is an impressive masterpiece. You will not want to leave this astounding villa!

Despite these wondrous interiors, the real magic happens outside. The pool runs through the centre of the villa, leading your eye towards the mountains and connecting the villa to the garden. A footbridge makes a very striking entrance. The villa is enveloped by these landscaped gardens that evolve like a living painting. Palm trees stand proud, and the lush grass undulates into attractive mounds, capturing your vision. The expansive views entice your gaze while you relax on stunning terraces sprinkled with contemporary outdoor furniture. There
are two large terraces that make the perfect spots for alfresco lunch or dinner and where you can enjoy a tipple or two as you bask in the golden hour sun. Your villa cook will happily serve delicious suppers on the terrace while you enjoy this astonishing equilibrium of Moroccan charm, luxurious comforts and spectacular vistas.

Villa Brahim enjoys a fabulous location in the Palmeraie of Marrakech near the Relais et Chateaux Ksar Char Bagh in a lovely tranquil residential area. It is just outside downtown Marrakech and the Medina. The Palmeraie is a wonderful, calm area which connects Casablanca to Fez. Golf enthusiasts enjoy the Golf de la Palmeraie club, which is close to the villa. An equestrian centre and camel riding are also nearby. The Palmeraie is a fabulous spot away from the vibrancy and heady buzz of the city. Quad bikes are also popular, and hot air balloon rides with Marrakech Balloon.

Marrakech is a bustling, colourful city that is alive with heady smells, sounds and sights. In 1985, Marrakech’s Medina was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it is easy to understand why. Colourful spices, glistening silver lamps with the promise of a genie, vibrant carpets and leather in every shade imaginable are combined with its rich, ancient architecture in a fabulous kaleidoscope of colour. Its souks are loud, thrilling and very exciting. You will discover snake charmers, storytellers and potion sellers. Dining in the Medina is an adventure which will set your tastebuds tingling. Smoke rises from barbecues which are enjoyed along with Gnawa musicians, acrobats and fortune tellers. The famous Patisserie des Princes is perfect for sweet treats and ice cream afterwards. Many of the riads boast exquisite restaurants for fine dining experiences where you will enjoy creative, spice-laced modern Moroccan menus. Hammams were introduced to the city by the Romans and adapted to fit Islamic ablution rituals. Visitors enjoy wonderful hammam experiences at Hammam de la Rose, the Farnatchi Spa, the deluxe Royal Mansour and many other spas.

The Bahia Palace was built in the late 19th century and now forms the centre of the city’s culture. It boasts incredible decor along with high, gilded ceilings, mosaics, stuccos, paintings, the mesmerising quarters of Bou Ahmed’s favourite concubine, Lalla Zineb and an enormous landscaped garden.

Marrakech enjoys an excellent collection of museums, including Maison de la Photographie, a three-storey riad-turned-gallery housing the vintage Moroccan photography collection of Patrick Menac’h and Marrakshi Hamid Mergani. Its rooftop cafe is one of the highest in Medina. The Musee Tiskiwin displays the history of Marrakech and the region in general. The Dar Si Said Museum is an exhibition of historic and contemporary Moroccan art, full of intricate Byzantine designs and colours. The Music Museum is located in the Saadian quarter, built in the 16th and 17th centuries. The reception of the museum is a jewel of Arab-Andalusian architecture.

Marrakech enjoys a calm and beautiful cloak of green. The area around the city is sprinkled with magical gardens. Le Jardin Secret is one of Medina’s largest and most important gardens, with a Persian garden full of tufty grasses and olive, pomegranate, fig and date trees and a second smaller garden offering exotic plants. An elaborate irrigation system weaves its way through the gardens, part of an ancient network that once distributed water from artesian wells and fed by the mountains. When fashion icon Yves St Laurent arrived in the city in 1964, he was overwhelmed by the city and its vivacity. He lived in the Jardin Majorelle with his partner, a lush garden painted with an intense shade of ultramarine blue. It is sprinkled with giant cacti, palms and bamboo groves. The Berber Museum is filled with Yves St Laurent’s personal jewellery and fashion collection, and the Musee Yves St Laurent offers a stunning choreography presentation of the clothes in a dramatic black hall.

Marrakech also gives you the opportunity to be rewarded with an experience in the quiet cool of its surrounding mountain valleys. It is the perfect contrast to the thrillingly frantic energy of the Medina and the buzz of its museums, palaces and gardens. After a delicious Moroccan feast around Djemaa El Fna, you can trek up Northern Africa’s highest peak, Mount Toubkal or enjoy a surprising experience of North African skiing at Oukaimeden. The Atlas Mountains are sprinkled with pretty villages, beautiful waterfalls and dramatic viewpoints. Imlil is a popular hub to start exploring, and the Bureau des Guides d’Imlil can arrange guides. You will enjoy unforgettable day trips, visit traditional villages, taste delicious food, and enjoy the fabulous scenery and a mesmerising mix of Berber, Arabian and European cultural influences. You will also discover some of the best golf courses in Marrakech, including the Amelkis Championship Golf Course and the Marrakech Royal Golf Club.

Villa Brahim is very popular with families who want to experience the action-packed charms of Marrakech yet enjoy some downtime too. The villa offers a fabulous pool, stunning gardens, a gym, table football and lots of space.

The Palmeraie is a great area just outside the buzz of the city. There is lots to do, including camel rides, quad biking and hot air ballooning. Marrakech promises fascinating delights around every corner, from cooking classes to mule rides and shopping experiences. The Amal Women’s Centre offers cooking classes for kids. Marrakech offers many gardens that are just lovely. Harti Jardin and Cyper Park are great for good walks. There are two small amusement parks for younger children, Ludipark and Paloozaland. Ludipark offers bouncy castles, pony rides, a mini zoo and an aquapark. Paloozaland offers a dinosaur theme and enjoys several rides, a 6D cinema, a swimming pool and live shows. There are always camels near the Menara Gardens which kids can ride. If you want more of a desert camel ride, you can take a taxi or arrange a ride through your riad to the Palmeraie. Another popular trip is to the Moulay Hassan racetrack on the edge of Marrakech for some kart racing. Moroccans do tea very well, so you can arrange a wonderful afternoon tea at the Royal Mansour. Kids also enjoy getting a henna tattoo or seeing a Fantasia Show. Chez Ali is a show that has been going for years and includes dinner as well as performances with horse riders and music. You will see horse carriages everywhere though you might want to check if the horses look well cared for.

The thrilling Oasiria Waterpark, on the outskirts of Marrakech, offers eight swimming pools, twenty fabulous attractions and seventeen slides. One of the attractions, Aquaroc, is the first climbing wall in Africa. It is 25m long by 5m high and offers three courses, initiation, improvement and training. The waterpark sits in ten hectares of landscaped gardens sprinkled with ponds, paths, flowerbeds, century-old olive trees, desert crossings, palms, wooden pontoons, streams and colourful flowers, and there are five restaurants. There is even a kids club for six to nine-year-olds and nine to twelve-year-olds with meals and snacks included. These are run by experienced leads which offer supervised swimming, treasure hunts, fairs, toboggan competitions, climbing on the Aquaroc, beach soccer, water games, tug of war, football and more. The wonderful Eden Aquapark is another popular family pick. It boasts endless rides, slides, swimming pools, a river, a beach for little pirates, entertainment and a luxurious hotel attached to it. It is a giant aquapark that offers a world of water entertainment.

Terres d’Amanar is a zipline park roughly forty-five minutes outside of Marrakech. There are activities for all ages, with a pool and lunch included. Children love heading for the Atlas Mountains and enjoying stops at the village of Imlil, where they can enjoy mule rides and see the waterfalls. The Ourika Valley is another fabulous trip where kids can play in the shallow Ouritka River and hike to the waterfalls.

The Anima Gardens are lovely, with lots of sculptures as well as natural fauna. You can buy a timed ticket which helps to ensure that the gardens are not too crowded. There are shuttles to and from the city.
