Welcome to Palais Makinat, a stunning 1,700m2 Indo-Moorish villa located in the countryside of Marrakech, 20km from the Pink City on the road to Fez. This lavish 9-bedroom villa effortlessly accommodates up to 18 guests, promising an unparalleled blend of opulence and tranquillity for an unforgettable escape.

Stepping through the arched entrance bounded by stout urns and tall palms, guests are greeted by a world of ornate splendour, a realm where every corner exudes the bright, intricate patterns of Moroccan style and design. True to its name, this palatial estate boasts a number of spacious salons, not to mention the sprawling 2-hectare gardens, ensuring a seamless indoor-outdoor experience where guests can flow and congregate in a convivial manner. 

The Grand Salon with seating for up to 20 guests opens onto the main covered terrace and dining space and features plush sofas, a warming fireplace, chic ornamental furnishings, and a library of ancient books. Another library can be found in the nearby TV lounge which boats elegant rattan couches, floor-to-ceiling arched windows framing the lush courtyard, and an array of tasteful sculptural touches. An adjacent meeting room and bar provides another art-filled setting to mingle and marvel.

A fully equipped kitchen, staffed by a skilled culinary team, invites guests to savour the flavours of Moroccan cuisine in any of the three elegant indoor and al fresco dining areas. The main interior dining room seats 18 guests with its monumental statue of Ganesh at one end and at the other an exquisitely tiled mosaic wall fountain. A further outdoor dining room, and a terrace lounge (both comfortably seating 18 guests) ensure that every meal at Palais Makinat is an extravagant experience for the senses. 

The splendour and intrigue of communal spaces is finely balanced by the opulence and serenity of Palais Makinat’s nine bedrooms, each thoughtfully designed to be a sanctuary of its own. The sprawling master suite is well-situated on the rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the pool, garden, and Atlas Mountains. This sprawling bedroom boasts its own living room and fireplace, marble bathroom with jacuzzi, walk-in shower, dressing room and private terrace of lush greenery.

Across the rooftop sunset lounge can be found another expansive bedroom with panoramic views and a stunning domed ceiling. With an ensuite including a free-standing tub, the room also includes a private terrace and bay windows looking out through swaying palm fronds onto the garden. The rooftop terrace’s final room is another sprawling setting on the sunrise side of the villa. Also boasting a domed ceiling, this room and dressing room has an ensuite bathroom and private furnished terrace.

Six further rooms boast queen-sized beds, ensuites, and private furnished terraces or access to the villa’s turquoise or beige-toned galleries. Each boasts Moroccan rugs underfoot, sophisticated wood-carved furniture, and beautiful décor of lanterns and richly hued textiles in spaces flooded with natural light.
