As soon as you arrive at Villa Bouamssa, you will relish in its beauty, its stunning design and its carefully curated selection of contemporary furnishings. You will discover sumptuously stylish fabrics, a wonderful collection of art, a fantastic library of books, super chic lighting and the very best fittings. Mostly in white, the villa enjoys some fabulous colour splashes in some of the rooms. There are walls of glass drowning the spaces in natural light and offering spectacular views of the gardens that will entice your gaze. In addition to the main villa, there is a pool house of approximately 150 sqm. The main living space enjoys a striking double-height aspect. It boasts sumptuous sofas, oversized artwork, an astounding contemporary fireplace and some wonderful handpicked accessories. A wall of glass opens up to an astonishing, beautifully furnished terrace. In addition to the main living area, the ground floor is home to a television room, a games room, a kitchen and an indoor dining room.
The basement is home to a massage room, a hammam, two cold rooms, a children’s bedroom for up to six little ones, a children’s living room with a television, a shower room and a room for a nanny. Children find their bedroom really fun, sleeping on bunk beds and sharing bedtime stories with their friends or cousins. The first floor is home to six stunning bedroom suites, all with a private ensuite bathroom, dressing room, and lavish kingsize bed beautifully adorned with luxury linens and televisions. They all enjoy beautiful views of the gardens and the surrounding area. The luxury pool house offers a large living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a comfy kingsize bed and an ensuite bathroom. It is ideal for the grandparents or another couple that might enjoy a little privacy.
The villa is surrounded by gorgeous gardens and wonderful terraces where you can feel the tranquillity fold around you as you relax in absolute peace and quiet. The large swimming pool is surrounded by luxury loungers and parasols, plus there is a table tennis table and table football for some family fun close by. The villa gym offers two treadmills, a bicycle, an elliptical trainer, a rowing machine, a weight table and an inversion table. The alfresco dining terrace is a wonderful space where you can watch the sun go down and enjoy a delicious meal cooked by the villa chef. Within the beautiful gardens, you will discover a clay tennis court and a petanque court.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa BouamssaVilla Bouamssa enjoys a peaceful location within very easy reach of the beach resort of Essaouira. The villa is just 10km from the airport, so it is very convenient. Visitors to Essaouira enjoy stunning beaches, thrilling watersports, delicious fresh seafood and a buzzing Medina. The town is very much a working port and fishing town as well as a beautiful tourist hub. It is known for its coastal wind, beautifully named the Alizee, giving the town the name of the ‘Wind City of Africa’.
You will enjoy a relaxed shopping experience in the Medina of Essaouira. There are five main gates and a laid-back, car-free pedestrian area sprinkled with souks that you can explore at your own pace. You will discover palm-lined avenues lined with art galleries and boutiques. You will enjoy the gorgeous white and blue facades and the striking ramparts. Dating from the late 18th century and added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2001, it is a lovely place to stroll. It was famously used in the opening scene of Orson Wells’ 1951 films Othello and Game of Thrones. The Medina is surrounded by dramatic, wave-lashed ramparts which offer spectacular sunset views. The Slala de la Ville 18th-century ramparts protect the Medina and its row of nineteen bronze cannons from the crashing waves and seafaring marauders.
Essaouira’s busy port is filled with colourful fishing boats. There is a large fish auction in the market hall by the port gates every Saturday, plus you can watch the daily catch being sold every afternoon to the restaurants around the harbour. You will see the sea-blue wooden boats arriving and departing and nets being repaired.
The beaches are great fun for windsurfing and kite surfing though the water is pretty cold. The beach runs for approximately six miles and is popular for walking, football and other sports. Swimming is best in the town stretch as Safi Beach to the north has a strong current. Camel owners are founds on the sands to the south. You can head south across the Ksob River to see the ruins of the Borj El Berod, an old fortress and pavilion at low tide. From here, you can walk inland to the village of Diabat or continue to the sand dunes of Cap Sim.
The Gnaoua World Music Festival is held in June for three days. It is Essaouira’s biggest annual event. The Gnaoua people are descendants of slaves that originated from Black Africa and established brotherhoods throughout Morocco. They are made up of master musicians, metal castanet players, clairvoyants, mediums and their followers. The festival showcases their talents with music and mysticism.

Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Bouamssa is a brilliant choice for multi-generational family holidays. There are many entertainment spaces, a children’s bedroom for six, television rooms, table football, table tennis, a swimming pool, a tennis court and spectacular gardens.
Essaouira is great for adventurous families. Children adore the freedom of running in the Medina without any traffic, camel riding over the sand dunes, enjoying the waves, surfing and quad biking. Teenagers can try their hand at kite surfing. You can head to Safi Beach at the northern end of Essaouira or Diabat Beach south of the town. Children enjoy taking a horse and carriage to get to Safi Beach from outside Bab Doukkala, and the driver will wait while you explore the beach. There are large sand dunes and excellent rock pools to play in.
Children enjoy bartering in the souks, where the stall sellers are much less pushy than in Marrakech. Game of Thrones fans enjoy looking out for locations from the films. They love walking along the fortified walls and enjoying the views. Children are fascinated with the fishermen and the fish market. They will see sardines, pilchards, hake, sole, crab, lobster, octopus, eels and other fish. They can pick their choice of fish and have it cooked at one of the open restaurants at the port.
