Villa Condachi is located in the middle of the Santa Maria Valley in Mellieha, the northernmost town in Malta, perfectly positioned in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea. The villa is a short thirty-five-minute drive from Malta's international airport and within easy driving distance of Malta's best sights and attractions. The island of Malta is steeped in history, dating back as far as five thousand and five hundred and fifty years ago, home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, seven megalithic temples, and neolithic architecture, and a few windmills too.

The old traditional village of Mellieha is but a short walk away and will give you a taste of local Maltese life, with welcoming cafés, bars, and restaurants, shops and stores. Mellieha is blessed with Malta's longest beach, the beautiful Ghadira Bay, with its white sands and calm sea. If you like walking, the area has many hiking trails, trek to the nearby Ghajn Znuber Observation Tower, or the Il-Majjistral Nature & History Park and spot the herons and egrets, or to il-Mizieb and follow the rugged coast of the Marfa Ridge. Other notable landmarks include an air raid shelter, St Agatha's Red Tower, Coral Lagoon, Our Lady of the Grotto, numerous old churches, and many more beautiful beaches, especially Paradise, Riviera and Anchor Bays.

For those wanting to travel further afield; Take the thirty-minute ferry crossing from Mellieha to the island of Gozo, known as the pearl of the Med. Here you can relax on beautiful sandy beaches, or if you are feeling more active, visit the UNESCO Ggantija neolithic temples, older than the pyramids and Stonehenge. Have a day out with a drive to Rabat Mdina and see the Roman ruins, visit the San Antoni Palace and Gardens, explore St Paul's cathedral and catacombs, or stroll around the thirteenth century Palazzo Falzon and Santa Sofia. All aboard the Marsalforn, a trackless train, where you can enjoy views of the stunning Maltese coastline. No visit to Malta is complete without a visit to the capital Valetta, a forty-minute drive from the villa. Here you will find a walled city founded by the Knights of St John, dating from the 1500's, full of baroque churches and cathedrals, the beautiful Upper Barrakka Gardens, where a cannon is fired every day at noon, and an old town with winding streets full of luxurious shops, cafes, bars and restaurants where you can sample the best of the local Maltese cuisine. Go further south to see the famous Wardija Towers, thirteen fortifications guarding the coast; tilt at windmills, including the still working Tax-Xarolla; and swim, snorkel or rock climb the walls of the renowned Blue Grotto, a collection of sea caverns in the town of Zurrieq. Malta is famous for its many film sets; release your inner Jon Snow with a visit to the Game of Thrones location, and your holiday is complete!

Best Suited For: All Ages
Ideal for Xmas/NY

There's lots for your kids to see and do across Malta, and as it's a relatively small island it's easy to access all of the activities. Let's start at home with your villa, with its private pool in which to swim and splash. For keeping out of the sun or whiling away evenings, the villa has a PlayStation2, TVs in all the rooms & Blue Ray DVD player great for some fun and games. In the local area there are numerous lovely beaches, the nearest is the soft white sands of the beautiful Ghadira Bay, with low tides and calm seas, perfect for a family day building sandcastles and some fun in the sun. Other nearby family-friendly beaches include Rivera, Anchor, Paradise, Armier, Slugs, Little Armier, Mellieha and Imgiebah Bays – one for each day of the week. There is also local woodlands and hiking trails, with a picnic spot at L-Ahrax, St Paul's Island, and old army barracks and air-raid shelters. Nearby discover the natural flora and fauna of the island at the Foresta 2000 Riserva & Koperattiva Rurali Manikata, where you can enjoy a day trip through fields and farms. Mellieha is also home to Popeye Village, once a film set, now a family entertainment park, with a play and swim area, boat rides, and animation shows. Take to the water for a family day at sea, boats leave from the local Mellieha bay, or venture across the Mediterranean to the beautiful island of Gozo.

Further afield, there's fun to be had at the Playmobil Fun Park Malta, Birzebbuga, which caters for younger children from babies to toddlers, and four years +, learn through play indoors and outdoors in the pirate themed play area, climb treehouses, cross the hanging bridge and slip down slides. Get on your horse and take a ride on the carousel at Dolfer Hall. For older children, let them loose in Bov Adventure Park, where there are climbing frames, water fountains, swings and the perfect place for a picnic. Your little boffins, you might want to go to Esplova in the village of Bighi, where they can spend the day interacting with science and technology. Children love Duck Village on Manoel Island, full of miniature houses, and many pet animals. See some sea life at the Malta National Aquarium, where forty-one tanks are home to over a hundred species of underwater life, not to mention the reptiles, amphibians and insects. See some sea life above ground at the Mediterraneo Marine Park, with performances from dolphins, sea lions and parrots, both educational and entertaining. If you are really lucky, you may also get to swim with the dolphins. Time to get in the water with a visit to Splash & Fun Water Park, with its very own wave pool, lazy river, black hole, and a whole host of other family fun activities.  No trip to Malta would be complete without a day trip to Valetta, a forty-minute drive, where you can absorb the local history with a walk around the walled city to see the Mdina, take a stroll through Barrakka Gardens at noon to hear the cannon fire, and enjoy a meal at one of Malta's many family-friendly restaurants. Whilst you're there, if you fancy a tour with a difference, climb aboard the vintage Cottonera Lines omnibus to see the three cities and fortifications of Vittoriosa, Cospicura, and Senglea, founded by the Knights of Malta,

We were a group of 7 and we really enjoyed the stay! The kitchen and bathrooms had everything you need and there was plenty of space in the rooms and in the general area! The highlight was of course the big pool area and the balcony with the barbecue!
Thank you for having us - it was a blast!

    on 11/04/2023

Great place to stay, easy access to the location and has free on street parking! Also thank you to the staff who allowed us to check in early so we could drop bags off, when we arrived there was even a couple gifts for us, thank you for that too. If I'm back in Malta I will definitely look for this place again!

  • Great villa, plenty of room for 8 of us

    on 10/03/2023

Lots of nice trails and sights to see in the local area. Plenty of nice restaurants and a few bars.
Shops are a 10 minute walk, most restaurants are within 30 minutes walk but all uphill on the way there!
Uber/Bolt are always available and very reasonably priced.

  • Very quiet area

    on 18/01/2023

Huge house ideal for 10-12 people in a very quiet area

  • Gorgeous

    on 16/09/2022

The villa was gorgeous, inside and out! The rooms are large and the pool was magnificent. We stayed here with our wedding party and everyone had plenty of space and a fantastic time. Thank you!!!

  • Fabulous place

    on 11/07/2022

What a fabulous place-perfect for a large group of us. The rooms were HUGE- the pictures don’t do it justice- and everyone had enough space to hang out, relax and spend some time together before our friends’ wedding. Check-in was easy and there was tea, coffee and sugar available. The coffee machine was a great addition, too. Showers were clean and almost every room had a en suite. The shop is a 10 min walk away up some quite steep steps so just make sure you’ve hydrated! There’s some great bars and cafes, too- a really nice vegan-friendly restaurant called Kitchen and Co is FAB and also do delivery. All in all, a fantastic stay. Thank you!

  • Spacious

    on 20/06/2022

A massive thank you to Janice and Charmaine for making the trip so seamless. Came to the villa for my birthday and it didn’t disappoint. Stayed with 9 people and still felt very spacious
The pool is an amazing touch to an amazing property. Thank you again

  • Highly recommended

    on 16/05/2022

We were a group of ten and this villa was absolutely perfect. It was spacious, clean, great pool, and near tons of great restaurants and of course the beach! We had an absolutely amazing time and plan to come back! The team was super responsive, communicative, and organized— everything you need when planning a big group trip. I highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone!! Thank you for everything Janice and Charmaine!

  • Great

    on 09/05/2022

We (10 friends) stayed there for a week, and enjoyed it. You can get there by bus from the airport. The bus station is about 10 minutes' walk, with a longer staircase. In addition, there is a supermarket at the bus stop, which is also open on Sundays. In general, however, Malta has a car - culture, everyone goes everywhere by car, and public transport could be better. Taxes / Bolt (an Uber competitor) is a super alternative.
The area of the villa is quiet, although we were able to celebrate room volume without any problems. The pool is great, here there is a regular person in the morning who fills up chlorine tablets, for example. The villa is well equipped with dishwashers tabs, some drinking water, toilet paper, shower gel, etc. Whereby we have bought single ones later this week.
The communication with Janice or Charmaine was great, you got a helpful answer quickly and reliably.
What might be exciting for the ladies:
Only one hairdryer. However, we did not disturb at all in temperatures and sunlight.
Overall I can recommend the villa to everyone.

  • Two words... simply amazing!

    on 03/05/2022

The pictures honestly dont do this villa justice; its absolutely huge! The bedrooms are so spacious. It was spotlessly clean. I love the fact that we all had little toiletries including a special set for my young nephew. Room & pool towels were included, which helped!
Water was available in the fridge when we arrived & it was nice to find certain condiments in the cupboards. We left behind a couple of bottles of wine for the cleaners, I hope they enjoyed them. We also left a few other bits which we hope could be of some use to the next guests, like cordial, ice & unopened milk.
The beds were very comfortable, the showers were powerful & the air con cool.
The location is lovely & quiet. There is a pub/restaurant on the main road as well as a great supermarket but you may want to get a taxi up & down as its a pretty steep hill.
All in all, our short break was amazing & only made better by the fantastic communication & assistance from Janice & Charmaine. I would highly recommend this villa for large groups.
Thank you for a great mini break. We hope to return one day very soon
